This is excellent info that may help you see the world and your life in a different way. It may confuse or tick-off some readers, particularly if the text is not read carefully. But for those that find some value, it can be transformative.
This is not a religious book, but God is frequently mentioned. So if you don't believe in God or Source, etc., I encourage you to try this book anyway, with an open mind.
A primary goal of all of Selig's books is to help raise our individual and collective vibration (which can be anywhere btwn low to high). This is achieved mostly thru affirmations, but also thru intention and understanding the teachings.
Here are some of the teachings (which the Guides who are channeled say are eternal truths): - We are all creating and perpetuating reality, and we can affect reality - We are all in agreement on some level with everything we witness - Love attracts love, fear attracts fear, etc - You cannot fail (in any way; since there is no such thing as failure or good or bad) - The conscious self (usually in lower vibration, called the "small self") is different than the True Self (which may be discovered thru the book). - You can raise the vibration of a "bad" event - Fear doesn't exist. We create it. - Everything is of God.
Also included: - The difference btwn truth and opinion - A new idea of infinity - Ways to connect and align to your True Self
The book is: - Not a religious text - Not self-help - Not a convenient set of teachings - Not a set of directives
These bullet points are not comprehensive, but provide a sense of the material. Part II is where the real meat of the material is. Some of the info is hard to comprehend and may take some contemplation and/or revisiting. But once you get it, it's very powerful material. Highly recommended + his other books.
My perception of this... A guide to claiming your Own personal manifestation within everything. What you perceive. How you perceive it is exactly What you get out of it. Depending upon your own Level of octave. The Divinity of your own octave Or lack of. This book will guide you beyond your Own limits of reality you choose, opening up your mind to A devine manifestation.

New York City author Paul Selig is a channeler, a man able to communicate with guides from the beyond, and in doing so provides important lessons for his readers. It has been said, ‘In a world of would-be psychics making great claims for themselves with little evidence to back them up, Paul Selig is the real thing. His books occupy a special place in the literature of channeled messages.’ 'BEYOND THE KNOWN: REALIZATION is the most audacious of The Guides teachings to date.’ urgent, strong, always clear and lucid, and told with grace and wit.’
Well educated – both at New York University and at Yale – Paul experienced a spiritual experience in 1987 that rendered him a clairvoyant and his books on channeled literature are considered by many to be the zenith in the field. He maintains a practice as an intuitive in New York City and serves on the faculty of the Esalen Institute.
REALIZATION is Volume 1 of the Beyond the Known trilogy and describes how each of us can claim the true expression of who we are – the Divine Self, the True Self, or the Christed Self. Paul offers a twenty-eight day journey of enlightenment accompanied by The Guides – the goal is working toward manifesting the Divine Self, discovering and accepting self-awareness. Special moments arise on this journey – ‘You may choose to stay where you are. You are loved as you are. You cannot fail here. But, if you give it permission, the self permission, to claim the truth of who you have always been, we will lift you to the new classroom, and from here we will teach you…’
For doubters, simply read this book and by the end of the experience your life will be enhanced.
I won this book as a Goodreads giveaway! I found this to be very interesting, while also hard to keep up with in some places. I liked the conversational tone and the repeating of the important points - however, there was a lot of repetition throughout this text.
This book was really hard for me to read. In a good way. I had to read passages multiple times just to fully understand their magnitude. There's also something with the activations within it especially around fear. I have carried a lot of fear. Something in this book changed me lol, in a good way. When I finished I was not the same person who started this book. It has definitely help me digest the concept of the Christed self or that we are all creators of our universe/reality/we are of god/we are god incarnate.
The premise is lifting your consciousness beyond the known. Beyond what you know, where you've been, what your current circumstances are, basically beyond the small limited self. As we come more into that Christed self all the things we thought we know become reknown as our consciousness becomes much more expanded than it once was. It's such a big concept, I'll be coming back to this book again to hopefully soak in more. It also caused me to buy all of Paul's other books haha.
Really struggling through this book, which is a shame because the overall message is wonderful.
First - the book is a transcribed text from a series of seminars given by Paul. The seminars are spoken by Paul, but are not Paul speaking, they are the "guides" he has channeled to give the speeches. This madis it very difficult to follow, especially when he starts referring to himself in the third person.
Second- it's very contradictory in its overall belief system. In the prologue he claims you don't need to believe in God, only in a higher power that you can call whatever you want. By chapter two he basically says if you don't believe in God - who and what are you?
Not even halfway through and it feels less like a book on manifestation and more a preaching lecture on how and why to follow God to the Kingdom in Heaven.
Very disappointed because some of his lessons and points are spot on. To bad he buries it in a church sermon.
It is hard to describe a book, or series of books, that is altering the way I see my life and the world around me. Unlike any other books I’ve read, Paul Selig’s channeling of the guides called Melchizedek invites the reader to participate in the channeling experience, even long after it actually took place. I can’t speak for other readers but I become immersed in the messages of the guides, and I am changed. I wish everyone could feel the love the teachings bring and the knowing that we are each from the Divine. I’m letting go of so much of what no longer serves me here, especially judgment and anger towards others as well as myself.
This book allows you to infiltrate your consciousness to remember who it really is as a Divine Being. You don't have to earn your rights to this level of love and light. You just are. This book allows you, with repeated reminders. that you are loved as you are. I really feel the penetration into the consciousness the clarity and acknowledgment of this awareness in a loving delivery by Paul and his Guides.
Interesting channeled material and inspiring to me as an avid believer in our spiritual 'opportunities' here on this earth. I found the narrative a slightly unusual flow, in terms of ease in overall reading but the message was profound nonetheless. Seeing the Divine as and in all will change one's life and embodying this is the ability to gift this to ourselves and the world.
Sometimes, it's a really good practice to listen to an entire book through that you hate.
There's a lot of bad writing in here, quite a lot of yelling in the audiobook.
No source, no backing, no connection to the physical world around us, it takes a lot of fucking balls to tie i your personal fantasy speculative or not, and the real world around us, kudos to the author on that one.
I start my day by listening to the lesson. It gives me a sense of peace and something to think about as I go about my day. I can't explain the idea of channeling rationally, but the teaching feels like wisdom to me.
This book was a bit confusing. I'm not sure what I expected, but when I picked it I had no idea who Paul Selig was, and I didn't know what "channeled text" meant. You will enjoy this book if you are familiar with and enjoy the concept of channeling.
Interesting enough book. Opened my eyes to see things differently, however, it's sort of "brain-washing" as well. Didn't appreciate that part. If you're open-minded, it should prove to be somewhat enjoyable. Just an honest review IMHO.
I found this book to be very interesting. It was informative, engaging and at times a bit weird. I loved the overall message of the book. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this ARC.
