"Surviving For Tomorrow (Demented MC: Quitman Chapter Book 1)" was a exciting start to spirited series !!!
This was Rebel, Brody and Gracie story and what a ride it was! A love triangle!
Arrogant, bossy and very alpha Rebel is the Prez of the Demented MC: Quitman Chapter and when he meets heroine, Gracie it's a calming feeling of oneness with her but Gracie was abuse by her ex and she's running with her sweet little girl, Shelby to find sanctuary. Of course she's attracted to cocky Rebel instantly but Gracie has to put her daughter and their survival before any attraction with any man or two. But in walks kind-hearted bounty hunter and Rebel's best friend, Brody and BOOM, it's 4th of July for this triangle couple; is that right triangle couple !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anywho, that is only the beginning to this story of love and survival mixed with vengeance and a lot of betrayal.

This doesn't seem to be part of the other MC series that are connected. This series came before the rest and to be honest, not nearly as good.
The book wasn't bad but not much about the club. All that went on about the club life was a club slut trying to get with the president when he dumped her to take an ol lady. Two totally different men who wants the same woman and trying to out due each other.
Like I said not bad but if you've read any of these and didn't like them then try the newer ones or at least star with the BlackPath MC series.

This story is has amazing bunch of characters right down to the drama that surrounds them. You cant help but be hooked in eacb page. My first time reading this author and I have to say I really enjoyed her writing style, she deff has a way of keeping people reading and coming back for more. This is one story you dont want to miss out on.

It took me a bit to get into the book, I found the "conversations" a bit unrealistic but the story line drew me in. Once things got going it was quite a bit of a rollercoaster of events. I will definitely read the next book because I need to see how it plays out.

Sever disappointment
I love the start out. Girl runs away from abuse and finds her love. However the heroine never really got stronger. The two Heroes I guess you could call them don't really change they just keep fighting over the same thing they've been fighting over apparently their whole lives. No one seems to know what the hell they actually want or who they want. This book made no sense. The editing was good as the only thing I can come up with as a positive note to this novel.

Gracie had been in the ER several times with bruises and broken bones her boyfriend had given her. Jilly, an ER nurse, helped her get organized so when the time was right, Gracie could take Shelby to Jilly, get her backpack and a diaper bag so she could leave ASAP to Jilly’s former hometown, Winnsboro, Texas. Between Jilly and her brother, Kaden who drove Gracie to her new home, they made sure there would be no trail left for Kendall to follow.
In her new home Gladys lives across the street, Audie lives on one side of her and Brody, Gladys’ adopted son and Jilly’s adopted cousin. Audie’s son is the president of the local MC, Jilly contacted him so he could post some of his MC brothers at Gracie’s house just in case Kendall decides to make a visit.
Two weeks after arriving in her new home, Gracie found a job in a plant making harnesses and such for animals. It gave her insurance and benefits and a 40+ hour work week. While working, Audie and Gladys take turns with Shelby until Gracie can find a good daycare facility.
Kaden found her Mr. Lemons, an attorney, so she could file for full custody of Shelby. He explained that since she had to use her Social Security number for her job, Kendall’s family would be able to find her. So, get the paperwork started so she s ready. Kendall signed the paperwork, no questions asked. He was fine signing away his custody rights, no child support from him and the pictures of Gracie’s bruised body would stay hidden.
Rebel and Brody have always been interested in the same girls/women. This has caused trouble for the childhood best friends. They both meet Gracie at the same time and “it’s” starting all over again. Gracie is so glad when Brody is gone on his job and she lucks out and only runs into rebel once in a while at Audie’s.
Oh Wow . . . does this book EVER surprise me at the end ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Surviving For Tomorrow was a nail biting 5 star read.
Where has Vera been all my life?, I was pulled right in by her writing and I couldn’t stop until I was done.
Gracie is running with her daughter Shelby to get away from her abusive ex. After the last beating she knew she had to leave. A nurse that she met at the hospital has sent her to live by her family, they are aware of her situation and all of them are ready to protect Gracie and Shelby.
When she gets to her new home she meets her neighbors and not one but two very hot alpha males. Rebel is the president of the Demented MC and Brody is a bounty hunter. Gracie has no intention of starting anything with anyone right now, she is only concerned with protecting her daughter at all cost. But the men have other things in mind.
When Rebel see’s Gracie he is determined to make her his. He has some of his MC brothers watching her house to make sure they are safe. He also checks in here and there as well.
Only thing Babe, I want you in my bed and I will have you. - Rebel
Brody also has his sights on Gracie, and unfortunately there is some history between Brody and Rebel. They were once friends and due to some past issues they no longer are. But they both agree to work together to keep both girls safe. Can they keep Gracie and Shelby safe? Will they play nice when they both want her?
There is so much more to the book that I don’t want to give away. I fell for both Brody and Rebel, however I did have my favorite. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. There are some unexpected twists and turns that really threw me off and one OMG moment that I didn’t see coming at all. We do of course end in a cliffhanger that will make you want book two immediately. If you're looking for a great series that will pull you in this is the one. This is my first read from Vera Quinn and I loved it, I want more.

This was my first read by this author and although I believed the story a little slow to start off, it was however thoroughly worth it in the end. I was drawn into the story of friendship put to test and about a woman whose heart knows no defeat. Gracie is a woman that has faced more hurt, abuse and pain that anyone should ever have to know but somehow still rises above it all.
Rebel and Brody are opposites yet so much alike in so many ways. Each sweet and caring in their own alpha male way. There are times you want to hug them but there are also times where you desperately want to whack them both upside the head. I cannot help myself but route for Rebel, though. There were places in the book that I was pulled so deep into the story that I was actually frustrated that it was impossible to reach inside the book and knock some sense into the group of friends.
Their friendship and love are put to the test when faced with many heartbreaking challenges. I wanted to dislike Gracie for being the obstacle in Brody and Rebels friendship but the truth is that she truly cares for both men. What’s the well-known saying about the heart wants what it wants? However, their friendships need some reflection, one that includes Jilley. I cannot wait for book two. I cannot wait to see how each character life plays out. Will Rebel or Brady find their happy ever after? Does Gracie realize which one of the two friends truly holds her heart and will Jilly eventually figure out what it is she genuinely wants?
A bounty hunter with a really big heart, the hardcore, rough around the edges biker and the broken young woman who wishes for nothing more than finding happiness and a decent life for her and her daughter. Let's not forget about the denied love between lifelong friends.
Who wouldn't be pulled into the story? I definitely recommend the book.

Hello Vera Quinn, you are a new author to me and it is one of my favorites things to find new authors. Vera Quinn opened her book with a bang. the opening of this book was so heartbreaking that I had to know what was going happen next. Gracie is one woman that is so very strong, she has to be for her little girl Shelby. now on the run from her abusive ex-boyfriend she now has to accept help, something she just isn't used to doing. With the help of a nurse that seemed to be sent from God to help her she now is running. When she meets Rebel who just so happens to be the President of the Demented MC: Quitman Chapter. He is cocky, an alpha, and their first meeting wasn't that good.
I wanted to slap Rebel like dude she has come from a crazy past be nice, but his momma got him. I loved her during this book. But just wait there is one more to add to the mix and that is Brody, the good ol'boy the one that Gracie should be with especially give her past. As the love triangle explodes you see the pain and fear and realness that just make you want to lock them all up so nothing and no one can hurt them. When the clubs enemies and her ex's mother come knocking on her door she does the only thing she thought she could do especially because she has this beautiful daughter.... sorry you have to read it to find out what she does.
I was in such a book funk that this book opened me up and just sucked me into the Demented MC world. their world is not like any I have read in a while and it was truly amazing to read. I loved Gracie but at times her wishy washy attitude made me want to just ring her neck. my emotions were on such high alert that I didn't know how I was going to come out of this book coma safely.

Vera Quinn is a new to me author, and boy am I glad that I've made her acquaintance, as I'm hooked. That's not to say that I'm not extremely livid with the way that she left me hangin' off the side of a cliff with Surviving For Tomorrow, because I've added her to the list of authors trying to KILL ME DEAD, but luckily, I already have the whole series at once, so I don't have to call her too many names. It all starts when Gracie has to leave her abusive boyfriend/baby daddy before he ends up killing her, so her friend Jilly gets her to safety with Jilly's friends & family, and that starts Gracie on a whole new chaotic journey with Rebel, the Prez of the Demented MC: Quitman Chapter (Jilly's first love), and Brody, the bounty hunter with a huge heart, (Jilly & Rebel's best friend). They both immediately have a thing for Gracie, but she's attracted to Rebel, though he drives her insane with his attitude. This story had me all kinds of crazy because there was so much drama going on, and so much of it had happened even before Gracie came into the picture. Her presence only made it worse to be honest, so as Brody & Rebel fought over her like a dog with a bone, there were times that I wanted to pull my hair out. That's not to say that Gracie didn't add to it all, and I won't tell you the how or why of it, you'll just have to read for yourselves. Then Jilly comes home, and it's even more drama, so yeah, I was just ready to choke everyone out at that point to be honest. Add in a couple of twists, and my colorful metaphors were even more insane than any of these bikers. Anyway, all that's left for me to say is that I'm hooked so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I’m absolutely on the fence about this one. There were parts I liked, parts I hated, and most of it was okay. So a total mixed bag.
This ended with a cliffhanger.
My thoughts are very much spoilers, so I’ll just put them here, and then I will give the stats in as non-spoilerish a way possible.
The reason that I am absolutely neutral about this book:

Love Interests- Rebel and Brody (a biker prez and a bounty hunter).
Safety- no, and there’s F/F SA.
Other triggers- violence, abuse, child endangerment, language, sex.
Tropes- Abused Heroine On the Run, Love Triangle, Neighbors, Found Family

Alright this is the first time I have ever read anything by Mrs. Quinn. But I'm always on the look out for new MC books to read. So when I saw these I thought I would give them a chance.
I want to say this, this storyline for the book is probably the things I like the most in a book. What I wasn't expecting was the surprise element of this having a Love Triangle aspect to it. Look I have no problems with Love Triangles in a book, infact I enjoy them to the most part. That is as long as there well written. And I just felt like in this book it was sort of forced.
Look I liked the characters Rebel, Gracie, and Brody. Sure I mean Rebel sort of was a j*rk to Gracie when he first meet her. But that was understandable since he didn't know her and wanted to protect his family and friends. Brody, well Brody was ok. I thought maybe the author made Brody look too sweet, too caring. And Gracie, well Gracie, she was just alright. I know she was a woman who was scared and on the run. But she switched men like I switch TV shows.

Interesting
For me this book started out slow and had trouble getting into it but it picked up and next thing i know its 6.40 am and i finished reading the book lol.
Rebel got on my nerves then he redeemed himself then i wanted to throat punch him and then i wanted to hug him . Lol Brody i felt for right away then i wanted to kick him in the balls and tell him to grow a pair thankfully he did . Gracie is one screwed up woman whos been put through the ringer and doesnt know who she wants but i can understand that when you have two alpha men both hot both wanting you then yeah id like to be the jam between that sandwich. Then enter jilly a girl after my own heart and next minute fireworks ! Looking forward to reading more i really enjoyed this book.
For me this book started out slow and had trouble getting into it but it picked up and next thing i know its 6.40 am and i finished reading the book lol.
Rebel got on my nerves then he redeemed himself then i wanted to throat punch him and then i wanted to hug him . Lol Brody i felt for right away then i wanted to kick him in the balls and tell him to grow a pair thankfully he did . Gracie is one screwed up woman whos been put through the ringer and doesnt know who she wants but i can understand that when you have two alpha men both hot both wanting you then yeah id like to be the jam between that sandwich. Then enter jilly a girl after my own heart and next minute fireworks ! Looking forward to reading more i really enjoyed this book.

I have falling in love with the characters of this book. How can Rebel and Brody fall for the same girl at the same time in the past and present to destroy their friendship? Gracie has had a rollercoaster life especially after losing her parents at a young age. She had only been with one man and he ended up cheating and abusing her even when she was pregnant with their child. Jilly, a nurse becomes Gracie friend and helps her escape her abusing boyfriend to live for tomorrow to protect her daughter Shelby. However, Jilly had no clue what a messy situation she sends Gracie in her hometown for protection from family and friends. It a love triangle mess that you do not want to miss reading!

I really enjoyed this book.
This is the first time Reading Vera Qinn's books, she did an amazing job her storyline keeps you on the edge if your seat.
The Characters are strong, although at the begining of the book, it was a little distracting trying to follow the characters conversations, but the story line kept me hooked. In the end I wanted more. I really need to know the second part of Gracie and Shelby. Gracie had distrust issues with men after the betrayal with Shelby's father. Now she has two men that want her. Do they want her for the right reasons? Will Gracie ever trust again? Join Gracie on her journey.
I recommend this book to all our MC readers

This was my first Vera Quinn book and OMG I love it! Gracie Had it all, the house she grew up in, the loving husband and a beautiful baby girl, or so she thought she did. That all changed in the blink of an eye. New town, new people, new friends and hopefully a new home if former best friends Rebel (Demented MC president) and Brody (bounty hunter) have anything to say about it. Once again these to hot alpha males are at heads over the same girl. Question is, who will come out on top?

I am addicted!!
Wow!! I'm very impressed with this book. It's my first book read by this author and I'm hooked. Gracie is a woman who no matter what life throws at her she comes out stronger than ever. Rebel is your typical bad boy but has a sweet side. Brody is the sweet, caring guy. People always say, how can you love two guys at once. Well until you are in that person's shoes, don't judge. I cannot wait to read more. I need more of these characters in my life!!! Definitely a book I would recommend.

New Series...
Great to start a new MC series by Vera.
Mostly enjoyed this story. Liked the characters and the story flowed well.
Poor Gracie and Shelby. My heart went out to them straight away. Having two hot guys wanting her was interesting. Was great to see Gracie come into her own.
Look forward to see where this goes.
Vera's writing has come along leaps and bounds from her earlier work which is great to see.

Great story
Great story line, and characters. Escaping an abusive relationship and moving to a small town would be hard but Gracie takes it on head on, and faces the change to Escape for her daughter. Being attracted to and liking two different men leaves Gracie with decisions needing to be made. A huge turn of events leave you hanging at the end with anticipation. Loved the multiple point of view throughout the story.

This is the first book in a new series from this talented author. Gracie is on the run with her daughter from an abusive ex. When a friend sends her to her family for safety, we meet Rebel who is the President of the Demented MC, and Brody who is his best friend and a bounty hunter. This is a well written flawless story, which is filled with betrayal, redemption, and love. I cannot wait to read the next book in this awesome series.

Hmm!!!
The premise was fantastic but unfortunately for me i felt the execution cud have been done better.
The dialogue seemed juvenile and the characters just the same .
I could hardly get into it but unfortunately for my stupid rule of always finishing something I started i had to agonisingly carry on till the end.

This book was adorable. Rebel, Brody and Gracie come together to try and keep Gracie and her daughter safe. She is torn between these two men and she does make some mistakes. Brody tries to do whats right and Rebel wants what he wants when he wants it. Awesome writing with a spectacular storyline. This series is a must read.

Disappointed
Im a lover of MC books, and although this story was good, it was the writing that I hated. Seriously, nobody talks like the way these characters were talking. It drove me crazy. I'm curious for book 2, but I'm hoping the writing is better or I won't be reading it.

A little rough around the edges but reading on

So I randomly pick this book...it's starts off a little choppy and almost robotic in language, but half way through I'm intrigued...this book is a little soap operaish.....and I find I'm gonna have to read the next one....to be continued

Surviving for Tomorrow
This was my first Vera Quinn book. I liked that it was written from different pov's. This is a difficult review to write because of the love triangle and the cliffhanger ending. All I can say is I love Rebel and will be routing for him all the way!
