Life is never easy for Violet (the MFC). Shes been kidnapped by both her dysfunctional parents & now shes been taken by a wicked mage Rahab. Who wants to recruit her & make her into a Lazarus mage that he can control. He will use any means necessary including use her fam - Rebel, Ash and anyone else she cares for. If youve read any of these books in this series then youll know what a kick-ass, wise cracking character Violet is & how much she cares for her fam. Which are a group of funny & hot guys. The book doesnt disappoint the same as the others previously. Loved this one just as much as those. Great series

This series is addicting and once you jump on the Rebel Angels train, you are in for an amazing ride. You will have book after book of an award winning author, taking your imagination to the limits. And once you are in, you are hooked. This is book #4 in the Rebel Angels series. And this book just pulled ahead as my favorite so far. I always loved Violet, she is one kick ass Vampire/Angel. She will not back down if you go against her or her family.... She will fight to the end to stop you. In this book Violet has such severe training, it takes everything she has to complete it. Then she has to deal with angels who are brainwashed to kill vampires. She is in really bad situation. This mage is one of the most vicious characters in this series. She has to face the challenge to save her harem boy and her vampire geek. Dangerous magic is coming, secrets are revealed. This is a series that keeps your mind running. It has the most amazing characters and jaw dropping story lines. And is very well written. This book is full of action and keeps you turning pages as fast as you can. If you want a book that will keep you jumping up and down. And keep your mind and imagination going, even after you click the last page.... This book is for you!!!!!! As always, I would be remiss if I didn't point out how stunning this cover is. Rosemary never fails to deliver a beautiful cover, which is just a slight indication of how great the book is that you're about to read.

Violet is now about to join the legion, she must do so if she wants to keep her family together. She must do so because she wants to meet the half-brother she never knew she had. The brothers in the Legion have been raised to believe that all vampires were to be taken down, which doesn't sit well with our half angel, half vampire Violet. But, falling prey to Rahab's whims, she is sent on the Mage quest, something no one before her has ever achieved. The more she tries to save her family, the harder Rahab makes it for her.

But Violet may not be able to save everyone and she may lose a lot of herself in the process.

I love where Rosemary has taken the direction of this series. I love how strong and fierce Violet is, but she makes mistakes, a lot of them. But everything she does is to keep her makeshift family together and safe. This is such a fantastical world, everything from the characters to the scenery is vividly explored. Another home-run in the Rebel Angels series.

I am yet again blown away! This series is full of action, snark, love.... realness. Realness in the way of love and emotions. In what we'd do for our family regardless of betrayal and lies.
Violet finds herself in a more twisted place than either Angel world or Hell. Mage Drake is a twisted being! Cruel, yet loving? And yet again through the torture of Violet and her family, she rises to the challenge of bring world and beings together to kick bad guy a$$!
Each book has had such epic battles, trials, and emotions but I swear that this is my FAVORITE book in the bunch... I think I said that last time too though 😀 In no way can someone read ANY of this series and not be drawn in! Absolutely amazing!!!!

I really enjoyed reading this book. This is the fourth edition in the Rebel Angels series, and there is plenty of action combined with snarkiness throughout the pages of this book. Like the other books in this series, a sleek combination of darkness with wisps of light drives Violet and her fam of supernaturals closer to the end- or maybe it's just a matter of striving to survive. If you are a fan of dark fantasy novels, you will enjoy reading this series.

ONE EXTREMELY INTENSE READ!!!
OMG! Talk about knocking your socks off. All the drama, uncertainty, determination, fear, deceit, danger and suspense increases steadily while tension spirials make for one thrilling experience. Rosemary doesn't mess around. No pulling punches, no holds barred, taking no prisoner is her go to response. Twists and turns abound with unexpected circumstances and unpredictable surprises that leave no doubt she's up to any challenge. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really pulls this little jewel together beautifully. They're complex and believable with such depth and individually it's easy to relate. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive it's easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Rosemary did an amazing job bringing this read to life brilliantly. Remarkable job Rosemary, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

I keep saying each book gets better, well it's no different with this one, book four. In this one Violet meets her brother, and goes thru more trials than one ever should have to. As usual she has her Fam to guard her back. So what do you do when you meet your brother, or his "father"?

I seriously love Rosemary Johns. Her work is different from any other author I've read and I've read a lot. One thing that I love about this series is from book one, Violet, the main character has been adamant about her family. Not her birth family but her chosen family. I can relate to that and it helps me understand her position against so-called blood family members that she has to face. She realizes that who they are, does not define who she is. She knows that and I love that about the main character. This was another book of Rosemary's that I could not put down and I barely used a bookmark because I raced through it. Cannot wait for the next book!

Violet has completed a challenge set for her by the Mage. Unsurprisingly he finds a way to twist her success into a failure. Fed up, Violet and her fam will attempt to overthrow the mage, but will be dropped out of the frying pan and directly into the fire.
Another fantastic book in this intriguing and action packed series. Dark, sometimes funny, and absolutely fascinating characters. I didn't want to put this book down to sleep, loved it!

The fourth installment hits the ground running with all its intensity, seductive intrigue, humorous interactions, emotional exchanges and plenty of snark to lighten up even the darkest of moments. The only female in the world of male mages. Violet gets a dose of fatherly pride only to be manipulated as always. Each leader of the different angel races seems to have an ulterior motive in wanting Violet on their side but they all never seem to care about Violet as an individual. They only want to mold her into something that can be used as a weapon. The mage plays on feelings and pins others against one another yet swears to have love for all of his children. After seeing this world as well as Heaven and Hell, it's easy to see how similar that they all are. They rule through fear, torment, and manipulation. Is one better than either of the others? I can see why Violet takes her stance on not supporting any of the sides and instead supports the individuals who have been cast to the side, forgotten, or treated poorly. This book really dives deeper into the feelings of Violet and her guys and shows how much they have dealt with in their pasts just simply by trying to survive. It shows just how much they've changed from the people that they once were. I really enjoyed this book but desperately need answers to my questions answered! I'm excited to see everything come to a conclusion in the next book.

Vampire Mage is Book 4 in the Rebel Angels series by Rosemary A. Johns. This series gets better and better. Violet is still doing what it takes to keep her makeshift family together and safe. She does not always make the best decisions. Rahab, the mage, does everything he can to make it difficult for Violet to keep her family safe and together. This is another home run in the Rebel Angels series. As always with Rosemary's books, I highly recommend it. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary review.

I really enjoy this series! I love that Violet is a strong, yet flawed FMC. I love her love for her chosen family! I loved the action and intrigue of the storyline, as well as the wonderfully created world! I also loved the audiobook. The narrator did a great job! I cannot wait to dig into the next book!
