I couldn’t resist the heartbreak in those emerald green eyes. I never expected to wind up in her bed.
Now we're back on tour and I can’t get Jenna out of my head. Every time I close my eyes or step off stage, she’s there at the front of my mind.
There’s nothing I can do.
But then she leaves me a message. A message that leaves me with more questions than answers.
Now, distance doesn’t matter and I’ll fight for her with every breath in my lungs. She doesn’t trust anyone to stay. Somehow I need to get her to believe in me.
Rebecca Brooke is the author of the Traded Series, as well as other contemporary and paranormal books. She grew up in the shore towns of South Jersey. She loves to hit the beach, but always with her kindle on hand. She is married to the most wonderful man, who puts up with all of her craziness. Together they have two beautiful children who keep her on her toes. When she isn’t writing or reading (which is very rarely) she loves to bake and watch episodes of This is Us and Game of Thrones.
This is book three in the Jaded Ivory series and while it can be comfortably read as a standalone, I definitely recommend you read the first two books as they were enjoyable and for all my GoodReads and blog followers, book two is MM and while I have liked the other couples, Sawyer and Reagan are my definite favorites, plus, well, it’s MM.
Now, on to my review for Cover Me. I loved Heath when I met him in book one and liked him, as Sawyer's roommate, I got to know him much better in book two, Ride Me, and was really looking forward to his story. He is an amazing guy: Sweet, caring and absolutely sexy. Jenna, well, it took a while for her to grow on me. I felt bad for her situation, but she’s one of those strong women who are independent and determined to take care of everything on their own with no one else’s help, and frankly, she came across as a complete shrew. She grew on me eventually once she finally stopped doubting Heath’s genuineness, let him in and began to let him help her.
Together they had good chemistry. I liked the plot of the story, it might have been a bit predictable, but it was interesting and well done. I loved getting to catch up with Mari, Cole, Jackson, Monty and, of course, getting to revisit with Sawyer and Reagan.
The story, as is always the case with Ms. Brooke’s books, was well-written and it flowed well. I loved the slow progression of Heath and Jenna’s relationship from strangers to friends to lovers, it was natural and organic. This was a great addition to the series, filled with some heartbreak and angst, but also with laughter, love and family. I’m really looking forward to much more in the future from this author and in this series. Enjoyable and definitely recommendable!!

Cover Me takes one sexy rockstar with a heart of gold plus one fiercely independent woman with a dash of instant connection and creates a fantastic heart melting book that will have you hooked! While for the most part I throughly enjoyed Jenna and Heath’s story there were a couple things that held me back from screaming five stars. That said I’d still recommend this one to anyone who loves a good sweet rockstar. Jenna and Heath had an instant connection. I would necessarily say instalove, but these two definitely had an immediate pull to each other. While on the outside their lives are drastically different Jenna and Heath are actually very similar personality wise and with their upbringing. I adored how incredibly sweet, supportive, and understanding Heath was. He was constantly taking the time to actually listen to and understand why Jenna made the choices she did and instead of barging in and making demands chose to support her no matter what. That said, as much as I loved that about Heath, it sometimes drove me a bit insane about Jenna. For quite sometime it was a bit like Heath needed to walk on eggshells around her and where he frequently gave in to her choices it took her a bit longer to see his side as well. Overall though I understood why Jenna was the way she was so it didn’t take too much from their story for me even when I did find myself frustrated. I adored the sweetness to their relationship and the family that Heath made with his band also added another layer for me to really fall in love with.
This is the first book I have read by this author. It was amazing! I loved Heath and Jenna! Heath is the keyboardist for Jaded Ivory. He sees Jenna who is a server at a club who is owned by one of the band's friends. He is drawn to her. When she gets a call concerning her grandmother in the hospital, he volunteers to drive her. She wants a night to forget and Heath wants a night to remember. He leaves her his number when he leaves, but she throws it away. Fast forward and their night has consequences. Can Heath convince this waitress that this rock star is head over heels for her? Great read! I will go back to read the other books in this series! 5 stars
This is my favorite book in the Jaded Ivory series. Rebecca gave us an exciting read about the keyboard player, Heath, and a server at a club he goes to, Jenna. After a night together she decides to move on and he wishes she'd call. They come from very different worlds and fate has a way to bring them back together.
Cover Me is sexy, emotional, and well written. I loved every second of it. If you are a fan of rock star romances than you need to pick this one up. It doesn't matter if you are reading this in the series or as a stand-alone I can tell you that you won't be disappointed.
This is book three in the Jaded Ivory series and the first book I have read in it. I am saddened by that because this book was amazing. The writing, setting, all the feels. I will have to go back and read the previous books in the series. I want to meet all those people. This is a rock romance but not your typical story. No, there are no bad press and ex-girlfriends, or complete misunderstandings. There are no chauvinistic ways. No, this is a story of a man that has a woman being bullied on the job and has an instant connection with her and wants to help. This is a story of love, growth as a person and trust. I could not put this book down. Such a fantastic read.
Jenna is a girl that is very independent and doesn't want a handout. She is one of the most stubborn heroines I have ever read. She is working two jobs to help pay for bills that her grandmother's health as incurred. She works at a diner by day and a club by night. Heath is the in the band Jaded Ivory and is a person that loves to help and puts everyone above himself. Just an overall nice guy. He is having a nice night with his friends and witnesses a waitress getting bullied by a patron in the VIP section.
He is there for her when she needs a favor. They form a bond if you can believe that. Then out of nowhere tragedy strikes and she wants to forget. I loved reading about this couple. They form their tentative friendship and I loved the growth of it.
This book oh my gosh blew me away. I really loved every moment. Heath and Jenna are so much alike in certain aspects. Jenna for reasons unknown to Heath pushes him away. Even though he is gone she can't stop thinking about him and he can't stop thinking about the beautiful, stubborn woman. She is in his every thought.
The people are great. I loved all of them. The band truly re family, not by blood though. They are accepting and open Jenna with open arms. Such a romantic at heart and their passion, love, and chemistry is strong. I will most definitely read this again.
Heath Marshall is rich rock star who meets strawberry blond waitress who serves drinks in the VIP section at a club that he's at. He is attracted to her instantly, but doesn't do anything at first, until some drunk man is harassing her, and he swoops in to rescue her. They spend a HOT night together, until she figures out who he is, and she makes him leave the next morning, and he doesn't hear from her again. Jenna Fiorna can't believe that she spent the night with a famous rock star, and throws his number away, knowing that talking to him will only lead to heartache for her. Little does she know that she will need to get a hold of him in a couple of months. Heath never stopped thinking about Jenna, so when he gets the message that she needs to talk to him, he calls her right away, and it turns his life upside down. This story was very emotional from beginning to end. Heath was a great guy, like a legit good guy, so there were many times that Jenna really irritated me with her stubbornness, and stereotyping him too much to be honest. He went out of his way to prove himself, and she still at times too mean. However, I kept steady with faith in her, and she proved to be worthy thankfully, because at times I really wanted to shake her until her teeth rattled. So trust me when I say that after that one night, the rest of the story was a slow burn. The cast of secondaries was amazing though, as they added some seriously needed humor between the moments of heavy angst. Rebecca Brooke has a very special way of drawing me into her world, and frankly, I didn't move one inch until every last moment was experienced, so I CANNOT WAIT for more! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Want a modern-day Cinderella story? Well Cover me is the perfect fairytale love story minus the wicked stepmother. Cover Me is an entertaining story about a stubborn girl determined to make it on her own and a rich Rockstar that wants to do anything he can to make her life easier. Rebecca Brooke wrote this wonderful story that wasn’t like other romances with misunderstandings and drama due to “wrong time wrong place pictures” or tabloids “this just in” gossip which tears the leading lady’s heart out. Cover Me is just a sweet story about two people falling in love, oh and they have some spicy behind closed door time too. I give Cover Me by Rebecca Brooke 5-stars.
Heath Marshall could keep his eyes off the strawberry blond waitress as she served drinks in the VIP lounge. When he had the chance to come to her rescue and help her out, he did want any knight in shining armor would do, he swooped in and helped. Jenna Fiorna doesn’t know till the next morning the man she spent the night with is a famous rock star and feels that their night together will only lead to trouble for her. Pushing Heath away was one of the hardest things to do, at least till two months later when she needs to get ahold of him again. Heath hasn’t been able to get Jenna off his mind, but she hasn’t called and when she does the news, she gives him sets his world on tilt. Now Heath and Jenna must see if they are going to be there to cover for each other or if everything will fall apart.
Exactly the mix of hot and sweet, funny and touching that I love
Book 3 in the Jaded Ivory series, I hadn’t read anything by this author before, but I have a weakness for stories about rockstars so I decided to give it a try. I thought the book worked really well as a standalone, but I’d guess having the additional background from the first two books would amp up the enjoyment here.
As someone who was extremely close with my own grandmother, I resonated with both Heath and Jenna immediately. Honestly, I just adored both of these characters: Jenna for her fierce independence (sometimes stubborn but never really unreasonable) and Heath for his caring while still doing his best to give Jenna the space she needed.
As for the secondary characters, one of the reasons I tend to like the rockstar genre is the camaraderie and sense of family often to be found between the band members, and Jaded Ivory certainly didn’t disappoint. In fact, I was so invested in this story and these characters, the pages just flew by for me, in spite of being a longer than average book.
With great characters and a story that was exactly the mix of hot and sweet, funny and touching that I love, I was left anything but jaded, and this author has a new fan. 5 stars
What an amazing 5 star story this was. This is the third book in the series that feature members of the Jaded Ivory rock band. They all can be safely read as a standalone
Heath likes to be the saver, the protector. He meets Jenna at the bar where she works. On the night they meet she needs help. Heath is there to the rescue even if she’s reluctant to accept. She doesn’t like taking help from others. One night of passion leads to possibly a life time of happiness.
I enjoyed this story immensely, it was way up my alley. It was a sweet romance story. I loved the amazing characters that completed an already great storyline. I also enjoyed hearing about the other members of the band. I can’t wait for more.
I think it can be safely read as a standalone. But of course for better enjoyment, they should be read in order. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I highly recommend this story.
Cover Me is book three in the Jaded Ivory series and each can be read as a standalone, but you will be curious on the band mates just like me. This is my first read in this series and by this author and I really want to read Ride Me (book two) on Reagan/Sawyer's story.
Jenna- stubborn is not even a word to describe her as she's this times ten, independent and determined. Holy Tears!! (wipes eyes) with her story. This story leads her to Heath. Whose Heath you ask? Heath-is a member of Jaded Ivory, but Jenna doesn't put two and two together until the next day, but when she does it isn't what you would expect when realizing he's famous.
These two have an instant connection, but coming from separate worlds and with Jenna's trust issues, we don't know if Heath can prove to her he's nothing like the papos portray. He's not your typical music star that's for sure and he really can relate to her story. You will fall in love with these characters (including secondary) and cannot help, but to hope for a HEA they both deserve. I look forward to reading more by this author in this series and outside of this series.
Cover Me by Rebecca Brooke is book three in her Jaded Ivory Series. Every book in this series can be read as a standalone. For better understanding I recommedn to read the books in order. The previous books are Rock Me and Ride Me.
Cover Me tells Heath and Jenna 's story. Heath Marshall is a member of Jaded Ivory, the super star rockband. They're on tour and living the high life. Fame, fans and more. But somehow Heath is tired. He wishes for peace and quiet. And then he meets Jenna. Jenna Forino is a young woman who works hard to make ends meet. Heath has a insta-connection to her. She fights the attraction tooth and nail, but their chemistry is through the roof high. Heath is one of the good ones. He's caring, honest a soft-alpha and in the end he wears her down. She can't say yes to him.
Cover Me is a well written rockstar romance with characters I easily could connect with. I liked the story, the writing and the characters and give beautiful 4,5 stars to a beautiful story.
Jenna is used to doing things for herself until the night that it all falls apart and her knight in shining armour steps in to help her out. Heath just happens to be in the right place at the right time to be able to help Jenna and what started as a one-night stand becomes so much more.
Jenna doesn't realize at first that Heath is part of one of the hottest rock bands in the country and Heath is happy that someone likes him for him and not for his star power.
The couple are drawn closer together after Jenna discovers she is pregnant. Heath has to work hard to convince Jenna to take a chance on him.
This is not your typical love story where two people meet, fall in love and live happily ever after. They have to work for it, as they have both been hurt in the past.
Besides a few editing problems, it was a good addition to the Jaded Ivory series and I am looking forward to reading Jackson and Monty's stories and catching up with Mari, Cole, Sawyer and Reagan.
Cover Me Heath was the keyboard player of Jaded Ivory and the nicest guy of the band. He was sexy, gorgeous and the most caring of them all. So when he saw a customer abusing the waitress for spilling his drink he rushed to her aide. Jenna is beautiful and like Heath, she was raised by her grandmother. So in helping her that night things got complicated. Jenna got on my nerves a lot because she wouldn’t let Heath help her. There’s a little too much reality in this book that I find really unromantic. There’s a lot of conversation and internal dialogue that’s just boring and not moving the story forward. But thankfully past a certain point things move along and the story picks up and so does the chemistry. Somehow I think this book was sort of written backwards and it works. I liked this story a lot and I’m giving it four stars and recommending it. Now it’s on to book String Me.
This is the third book in this awesome series, and is Heath and Jenna’s story. Jenna is a stubborn girl who works hard to make ends meet. Heath is a wealthy rock star, who is feeling jaded with his current life, and just wants to lead a quiet life. When Heath and the band are out for the night celebrating, he witnesses a waitress being bullied and steps in to help her. No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written flawless story which had me hooked and intrigued throughout this addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author, and highly recommend her work for all readers.
This is a really sappy lobbed story that made me laugh and cry, a lot. Two characters who lost parents in childhood met the night that the grandmother who raised her entered the hospital and died the next day. The pregnancy two months later is a complete surprise. We all know how wrong that can unfold. This man rises to the occasion in a really beautiful way. They both were afraid to trust but negotiate it well. The description of the birth is beautifully laid out. For any of you who practiced natural child birth, you will love this.
Heath is a rock star just relaxing at a VIP club where he meets a waitress named Jenna. Jeanna is trying to make her life better. The two end up in a one night stand with Jenna making Heath leave the next morning. Jenna had no idea Heath was a rock star. A few months later, she has to call Heath about a situation that will turn both of their live upside down. Heath never forgot about Jenna. Will the couple be able to work things out? A good enjoyable read.
Cover Me is the third novel in the Jaded Ivory series. It can be read as a standalone, as I missed second book in this series, and I had no problem following this story. I enjoyed this rock star story. The characters Heath and Jenna were so good together, I really liked them. I'm so glad that all the members of the band, are in eachother books. Their banter is fun, loving, and supportive, but most of all their a family.
It’s official I love this authors work. She caught my attention with her last book, a m/m that I absolutely loved so I couldn’t resist Cover Me. And it’s amazing. These characters are so easy to fall in love with. They are our friends and we get so involved with them that I felt like I know them.
Heath and Jenna are wonderful. She’s the girl next door, struggling to make ends meet and he’s the sexy keyboardist who’s band has finally made it. They have so much in common and the whole time your routing for them. I absolutely loved this read and highly recommend it.
This book was fantastic! I love music themed books and I’m definitely going to go back and read the other books. I really hope that there is more to come.
And not the candy bar. Oh he I’d delicious and perfect. Rebecca can give you the perfect man for sure. This book had all you want and more. Rock and roll, band drama, love, loss and craziness. Must read.
I loved this sorry so much! Heartbreak, insecurities, 💘💘💘💘💘and laughter. Heath & Jenna were amazing. I hope to see more of them in the books in the series.
