An enjoyable read with Shifters and mates and trouble around every corner. Nothing will keep these mates apart except miscommunication.
The pages kept turning because I wanted to know what happened.

Kylie Hurst watched as her brother Cooper danced with his new wife, Alexis, and saw how very happy they were. Jace came over and started to talk with her, but she wasn’t really up to it. After her car accident, she wasn’t able to dance due to the two metal plates and six pins holding the bones of her leg together. She told him it was still painful and she didn’t feel as coordinated as before. But Jace held out his hand and told her she didn’t need the crutches with him holding her on the dance floor. And he was right. She had secretly loved him since she was 8. He dated constantly and broke her heart each time. Fifteen years later, she still wondered what it would be like to be with him.
Jace was so tempted to tell Kylie how he felt about her. But Cooper was his alpha and would not encourage him to be with his little sister. Jace would just have to continue acting like the playboy they all thought he was. But being with her at the wedding made him want to tell her how much he cared. He led her to the garden and, when he couldn’t say the words, his kissed her! She kissed back and they went up to his room. When he woke the next morning, he slipped out of the room quietly, ashamed of himself, and drove home.
Kylie thought back to the night of the wedding. Jace would have known it would bother her finding he had sneaked out the next morning, yet that’s what he did! Then he texted her saying thanks for a great night! She was annoyed with him, and she hadn’t seen him since that night. She would have expected it to be a one-time thing with Jace. But she wanted forever!
When Cooper and Jace had been searching for a missing tourist, Jace finally talked to him about his feelings for Kylie. Cooper immediately said to stay away from his sister. Jace’s reputation as a player was too well known! When Jace told him he thought she was his mate, he gave Jace an order, as his alpha, to leave her alone! But looking at Jace’s face, he realized it was too late for that! Jace tried to tell him that he had made a mistake in leaving Kylie the way he did after they had been together – but Cooper shifted into his bear and ran away, not willing to hear anything more. Jace walked along, realizing he was in love with Kylie and they would need to talk, but first he had to get Cooper to accept it.
Kylie needed her pain pills. She left texts for Jace but didn’t hear back, so she called Cooper to pick up the pills. Jace had already gotten them, and when Cooper arrived at Kylie’s place, they were hostile to each other. Jace left and Cooper told Kylie that Jace had told him he was in love and had made a mistake the night of the wedding. Kylie assumed the worst – that he had cheated on his woman with her! She was devastated and so ashamed to be “the other woman”. How could he do that to her? She never wanted to see him again.
This was a good story in the Glacier Bay series. The story line moved at a good pace, and the characters were easy for the reader to care about. Because of a third-party misunderstanding, they are put in a difficult situation where their trust in each other is damaged. Would they walk away from each other? Or would they be unable to lose the love they had so briefly acknowledged? Be sure not to miss this one!

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Werebears of Glacier Bay series and features the story of Kylie and Jace. Kylie is the sister of Cooper, the alpha of their clan who was featured in the first book. Cooper, Jace and Kylie all grew up together and Kylie has been in love with Jace since she was a child. Jace is known as a playboy, but has realized he is in love with Kylie, but he is scared to tell her. At Cooper's wedding, Jace decides to tell Kylie, but he just kisses her instead. They go back to Jace's hotel room and have a great night, until Jace panics and leaves while Kylie is asleep. Jace goes to Cooper and tells him how he feels, but tells Cooper he made a mistake that night, meaning leaving. Cooper is angry and forbids Jace from being with Kylie. Cooper then tells Kylie Jace admitted to a mistake, making her believe he meant being with her. Meanwhile there are missing women the group are looking for and Kylie is stuck back at the ranger's station because of her car accident. Jace doesn't understand why Kylie doesn't want anything to do with him. When Kylie's best friend goes missing, she wants to help look for her and doesn't want to call for help from Jace. I really love this series. This book was another good one. I really liked Kylie and Jace together and they really did love each other. I think Cooper was angry because he wanted to protect Kylie, but he had to let her decide for herself. I look forward to reading more of this series.

Short, sensuous and suspenseful, this one is a MUST-READ!
Creative and a bit darker than most of the other books I’ve read, “MATED TO MY BROTHER’S BEST FRIEND” is one of the BEST novels from author Meg Ripley! As per usual, the writing is flawlessly descriptive, emotive, and allows readers to focus on the marvelous characters she writes into existence. Characters so flawed, realistic and wonderful, this reader continues to hope they will walk off the page and into real life! Beyond that is the complex and extremely compelling plotline that deals with some darker events portrayed with great sensitivity and brings a new level of suspense and reality to Ripley’s paranormal world. Read in one sitting, I could not put this book down! I loved Kylie and Jace and hope they will appear in other books about this wonderful clan that provides new parameters to the concept of Search and Rescue in the wilds of Alaska. I voluntarily read an ARC copy of “MATED TO MY BROTHER’S BEST FRIEND” and this is my honest review. “MATED TO MY BROTHER’S BEST FRIEND” is an incredible read! It is short, sultry and suspenseful and a wonderful way to spend a few hours “getting away from it all!” Because of its novella length, “MATED TO MY BROTHER’S BEST FRIEND” earns 4 STARS, but everything within its pages is a 5-STAR read! Best friends to loves good read
This was book 2 in the series. It was short but very well written. I can't wait to read more books by this author.
Overview. Kylie was lucky to be alive after the major car accident she was in last year. She was still on crutches and meds and needing help. She has not shifted yet in fear of the pain or causing more damage to her injuries (plates and screws in her leg). Jace has been her and her brothers best friend since they were 8. But Kylie has been hiding her love for Jace for years while Jace was dating a lot. But when Kylie's accident happened, Jace realized that he could no longer live without her and wanted to tell Kylie how much he loved her. But how will Cooper (brother and alpha) feel about him dating/loving his sister. Yes he has always been there for Kylie, but now he wanted more than a friendship. Kylie was in shock that Jace was in love. She thought it was someone else not her that he loved. But love will win in the end.

Oh I did love this latest book by Meg Ripley. She put the R in Romance when she created Jace and Kylie. She has a near fatal accident and she isn't allowed back to her normal duties as a bear shifting ranger for a while. During this time, her major crush and her brother's best friend. Jace, is looking after her. He's loved her for years but knew her brother wouldn't like it and he wasn't always sure of how she felt. But he can't go on any longer, he wants her to know how he feels and wants to make her his! So beautifully created by Meg who just knows how to draw me into her stories with characters such a wonderful as these two. There was confusion and misunderstandings along the way but it is journey well worth reading and I look forward to the next book in this series. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended

ONE WILD READ!!!
Oh man! This is such a great read. I was hooked from the beginning and reeled in for the duration. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few bumps here and there make for one enjoyable experience. This baby has all the drama, action packed, fast paced, heart pounding, pulse racing, page turning, thrilling, rollercoaster of emotions and events to sort through. Suspense builds as tension spirals with gut wrenching scenes that holds your attention as the tale unfolds. The characters and their personalities are so realistic and believable it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are descriptive and detailed it really pulls this little treasure together beautifully. Meg did a remarkable job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job Meg, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

Jace follows her and tragedy almost strikes.

Short but sweet!
First before I give my review= I almost never give all 5 stars as there is always room for improvement. In most cases (for me at least) it is only that I wish there was more to read. I loved this story. I do advise reading the previous book in this series Alpha's Secret Baby (Shifter Nation: Werebears Of Glacier Bay) as this story starts at the wedding. Not another word from me that might spoil it for you. This story was almost sweet although there was a bit of drama and some misunderstandings. Overall I will say that this is another one for my "Read Again" list (that list is really long right now), and ask that you give this book - and series - a chance to make your list too.

Kylie is Cooper's sister and Jace is their best friend. Secretly both Kylie and Jace have loved each other. At Cooper's wedding Jace finally wants to tell Kylie but instead they go straight to having hot sex. Of course the JERK Cooper (yes he is still a massive jerk) is not happy with finding out from Jace that he loves Kylie. Jace has put on a show of being a playboy because he was afraid to go after his heart's desire. After a huge misunderstanding Kylie and Jace finally have their HEA and thankfully Cooper apologizes for causing the misunderstanding. Thank you for giving me the HEA I love, the chemistry I missed in the first book and shifters!

Great Book for a lunch hour read it took me about an hour and a half to complete this story.
The story picks up from where Kylie's brother Cooper is now marrying the mother of his child.
What is it like to Pine after the love of your life for 15 years believing that you will never be together pic?
Misunderstandings, hard feelings, anger, brotherly protection will come forth and mess with this relationship causing all kinds of problems.
Missing women and a best friend will cause Kylie to take steps that will endanger others.
I enjoyed reading Kylie's story.

I’m a huge Meg Ripley fan and this book is another amazing addition to her library.

An engaging, entertaining, yet quick afternoon read

This story was actually quite quirky sweet. It's about Jace and Kyle. Two life long friends who have been everything to each other in their friendship but hard obstacles kept them from completing their journey. One Kylie is the Alpha's baby sister. Two Jace is both their best friends. Third Jace jad developed a reputation. With all that who can be together? Well these two lovebirs flutter around the issue until harder knock make them realize that the most important thing is only LOVE. A great read. A good twistful suspense added too to shake it up a bit.

Kylie is recovering from a near-death auto accident. And is just back at work on desk duty when women st art disappearing in the Park. Her best friend, also a Ranger, disappears. She and Jace are at odds due to Cooper, so she does not call him when she has coordinates on Gabby but goes after her on her own. Luckily Jace returns to base in time to see her shift and take off, so he follows. GreAt story with interesting twists. Never disappointed by Msg Ripley.

This is another wonderful well-written shifter story in the Werebears of Glacier Bay. This group of shifters are amazingly likable and have deep relationships with each other. In this story we follow Kylie and Jace, the alpha bears sister and best friend. They have had feelings for each other for forever but now Jace has to let Kylie know how he feels, but there is drama surrounding the park and they all have to work together to solve the puzzle in the park.
Absolutely loving Meg Ripley shifter stories.

Sweet short romance with a paranormal shifter storyline. Kylie and Jace are bear shifter working for the Parks service in Alaska. They have always been best friends and Kylie has always wanted so much more than that. Have had always been a player and Kylie knows the one night stand they indulged in was just that, only Have had more in mind. Misunderstandings and intrigue lace this story giving you a nice adventure to enjoy. Sweet and steamy.

A simple, sweet story that I really enjoyed reading. There is a little drama but it’s not dragged out to the point of it’s just a repeat of words like most seem to be done. I also loved the fact that it wasn’t over ran with intimate scenes. Jace and Kylie have loved each other secretly for years, things change for them when they hookup at her brothers wedding. Will either of them be able to tell the other their feelings?

I love love LOVE Jace and Kylies tale.
I particularly love their characters and the way they think things though instead of talking things through! Im so like them that as they do i have entire scenarios and reasonings that I get my tail and my head totally messed up!
If only Cooper didn't stick his tuppence in things would have been a lot smoother - but then again brothers do like to make their little sisters life a living hell - Cooper succeeded.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Well, Jace and Kylie have secretly been in love with each other their whole lifes and finally everything seems to add up but a huge misunderstanding almost Jeeps them apart forever. The story itself is pretty amazing - the telling or writing of it not so much. You read the book and while doing so get the feeling it's just facts leading you from one event to the other - very less emotions, but it gets a little better the more you get to the end...

Jace wants to tell Kylie how he feels for her, but feels he should let Cooper know first, so their friendship and Kylie. Cooper takes it hard and turns Jace's words around to Kylie. Friendship, romance, misunderstandings, murder ( what romance wouldn't have a few murders in it ) mystery, kidnapping and lots of humour . The emphasis is on the romance not the sex or the shifter aspect with lots to laugh about and to feel " I know what that is like " Oh and a hea as you would expect. Well worth reading more than one time.

With all of Meg Ripley's books, I couldn't wait to read this one! Oh man, love adventure, danger, this book has it all and is not disappointing! Always better to read the series but they can be read as stand alone's too, love the HEA endings, always love those. I recommend reading Kylie & Jace's story, and can't wait for more of "Werebears Of Glacier Bay" series

A really fast pace enjoyable paranormal romance. It is an emotional read with bits of humour and witty banter thrown in. The characters are beautifully written, the chemistry between them is off the charts. Amazing storyline with lots of twists and turns. The story moves along at a brisk pace; is action-packed with a whole lot of crazy. I love this series and look forward to reading more.
