Olive Hesh doesn’t know it, but she’s about to give someone a terrible shock. She was employed to be a nanny to two-year-old, Leo. The only thing is Leo’s father, Blake Worthington, doesn’t know an Amish girl is about to walk through his door. Olive convinces Blake she can handle the job, but can she be around this wealthy and handsome Englisher every day without compromising her faith? Her best friend is falling for an Englisher, and she does not want to make the same mistake.
Blake’s mother has taken over his life once more. She insisted she could look after his son, and then she contacted an agency to find a nanny. He read their references and not one of them was suitable, but any of them would’ve been better than the dizzy, head-in-the clouds excuse for a nanny who showed up. The only reason he’s keeping her around is that his son adores her.

I wasn’t very interested in this book at first when I read that five Amish girls were going to rent a space at the market in hopes of finding a job. They gave out their resumes at the market. This book follows two of the girls in their new jobs. Olive becomes a nanny for an English family. Jesse takes a job at an English bed and breakfast. Both girls find love in this book.
His Amish Nanny is the first book written by Samantha Price in her new series, Amish Maids Trilogy. This story is centered around five young Amish women who have been friends since the start of school. Each of the characters are very realistic and likeable. The story finds the girls renting a booth at the market to pass out their resumes for work. They have decided to do this because they haven't been able to find a husband because of the lack of single men in their community. As the story opens one of the girls has been hired to be a nanny to a two year old boy acting out to get attention. The only draw back is this is an Englisher family.
Olive Hesh agrees to become a nanny for little Leo after she befriends him and his very wealthy grandmother at the market. When Olive arrives at Leo's home the next day his father, Blake is very rude and dismissive. After a considerable conversation he agrees to give Olive a week's trial basis. Blake habors secrets about his late wife which Olive has no interest in discovering. As each day goes by Blake finds fault with Olive and let's her know about it. Olive is determined to receive Blake's acceptance as a nanny. Thru this process walls come down and Blake reveals things to Olive which shock her. With Olive's future in the balance she makes a life changing decision.
Jessie one of Olive's best friends accepts a job at a B&B as a maid. Olive has come up with a plan to bring Jessie and her brother Elijah together. But even the best of plans are not without consequences. Jessie meets Dononan the son of her employer and is smitten immediately. Through several bad conversations with him Jessie makes a decision but not before Donovan has the opportunity to put a wedge between Jessie and Elijah. How this part of the story plays out still remains to be seen at the conclusion of the book. I look forward to the next book to continue on with this series. The author has done an amazing job telling this story and drawing the readers into these five girls quest for marriage.
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.
Congratulations to Samantha Price on the amazing start to her new series. Her readers will definitely enjoy it.
His Amish Nanny by Samantha Price is the first book in the Amish Maids Trilogy. Five Amish friends meet weekly at a coffee shop to discuss their lives and their loves, or lack thereof. Olive Hesh decides they should rent a booth at the farmers’ market to advertise their skills to help them all get jobs as maids and nannies. She gets a job being a nanny for Blake Worthington, a rich Englischer with a young son. Jesse gets a job at a B&B as a maid. They both fall for Englischers, but how will that work out for Amish women? I thoroughly enjoyed this five-star book and highly recommend it. Looking forward to reading the second book in the series.
HIS AMISH NANNY. by Samantha Price is a wonderful start to the Amish Friendship series. Olive, came up with an idea for herself and her best friends to earn some money to help their families. Olive Hesh wanted to meet with her friends, Claire Schonberger, Jessie Miller, Lucy Fuller, and Amy Yoder, at their favorite coffee shop to discuss renting out a stall at the Market for a week, and sell their own unique services as maids and/or nannies. They were all looking for work.
Olive is hired by a Grandmother for her two-year-old Grandson, Leo. This little boy needed discipline and watching while her Son, Blake, works long hours. With many complications, a love story has its beginnings.
A further love interest is developed at the end of the book when Jessie and Elijah, Olive's brother, begin an interesting friendship. We are also introduced to Donovan, an interesting Englischer who is Jessie’s bosses son. Donovan causes complications for Jessie with Elijah and on her job.
How will Olive and Jessie deal with their new Englisch “friends”? HIS AMISH NANNY and see. You will love it.
This was generally a nice, gentle Amish romance book. The thing that I thought was odd was that it was really two books in one. One story finished about half way through and then another story started. One of the main characters from the first half of the book (Olive) continued to appear sporadically in the second half, but it really was two stories.
Spoiler: I also didn't believe that Blake could change his view and convert to being Amish so quickly. It would be such a big decision to make.
I have downloaded the next two books in the series, and I will read them, but on the whole I was a bit disappointed in the style of this book.
Loved this book by Author Samantha Price. You fall in love with the characters. This was such a sweet Amish romance story. Very well written story.
Olive has been hired to be a nanny for a little two year old. But little does Blake Worthington know what his mother has done. Man with money he can get what ever he wants and for his mom always stepping in and taking charge. Think he has had about enough. When he opens the door and there stands a Amish girl. Mother what have you done now? He agrees on giving so many days for her to prove herself. Lot can change the heart. Looking forward to book 2.
One unlikely love story between an Amish maedel and the man whose own mother has hired her to be a nanny to his little boy. Ah, but wait! There's a second story, a kind of bonus, about Olive's best friend who thinks she might like a relationship with an Englischer, too, but who finds out--almost too late--that the man who seems to attract her isn't the one for her. Instead, Olive's bruder may be a better choice.
So, we have two (potential) marriages of these two Amish women. But will they occur? After all, Blake isn't Amish and he has to convert if he's to marry Olive.
Sweet Amish novel. Five Amish girls have always been best friends. None are married and there are not many available males in their community. Olive Hesh suggests to her freinds that they set up a booth to try and find jobs. Olive is hired by two-year-old Leo's grandmother to be his Nanny. All Leo's Dad knows is that a Nanny has been hired to start the next morning. Something he is not too happy about. Plus he doesn't know she is Amish.
While I really enjoyed the book which I read on the Kindle, I had the feeling that I had read it before It stated that it was published November 2018 yet I read this way before this date So it was either published under a different title or it's a copy/very similar to another book I am a bit disappointed by this if anyone can shed any light on this I would like to hear
The subplot is basically the second half of the book. The heroines change places (who's telling the story, whose life we're reading about, etc.) at this point and it's like the second half of the story was added on to make a page or word count requirement without having to rewrite the book to properly add the subplot. I want to finish reading this trilogy, but I really don't like the two separate story thing going on in this book.

Good Book. My only frustration and why it got 4 instead of 5 stars is because while reading it, I came across what the editor should have caught and corrected. In Chapter 4, there was this error. “As they made their way to his downstairs bedroom” Then further in the chapter when coming out of the bedroom it stated “Refusing to hold her hand, Leo made his way down the stairs”. If this were corrected, then I would give the book 5 stars.
I read this right after reading 35 of the Bonnet Sister series, all in a row, and this one just wasn't as well done. The story is good, it's just awkwardly set up, with about the first 50% about one girl, then it abruptly shifts to the 2nd girl, before eventually getting back to the first. I also thought it highly unlikely that both would be so ready to get involved with a man outside of their faith.
l was halfway into this story, when unexpectedly, l became ill. And, worse, that it was a Samantha Price book of all things! A gift on top of that! I just today was able to pick it back up to finish a story that was as riveting as l remembered it! Now, l can get back to regular life, knowing I've been restored by my favorite author. Thank you Samantha.
But a good read about the Amish traditions, families beliefs, and how the categorize ALL outsiders as English (meaning not like us and we don’t mix). Two stories about Amish girls interacting with outsiders with varying and somewhat surprising results. Yes I will definitely continue, but the author’s list is daunting.
This was cuter than the other one I was listening to at the same time. I liked that it had a cozy little friend group that has coffee. It reminded me of a hallmark movie. Also, the lesson that you should always choose the person better suited to you because they’re a good person and not just trust your emotions, as God says.
I go on an Amish reading spree every once in a while. They’re easy reading, generally uplifting. This book was no different. It was kind of like a Hallmark movie where you can guess how it will turn out, but you want to find out the in-between parts! I liked it.
I loved the characters and how each book focused on a particular viewpoint of each of the girls as the story develops. My only complaint is that the series ended at 3 books. This is the kind of book that makes me feel good about reading.
A quick read. It reminds me of a Hallmark movie. Girl always gets the right guy. No, it is not a spoiler. There are two romances going on. It also ends with two unwed Amish girls looking for romance.
I enjoyed reading this novella. The girls are sweet and willing to work to help their families. Focusing on two of the friends and their crushes and interacting with Englishers with very different results. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
This book was about family and friends and the great relationships they have. It was good to see how the love was going for several of the girls. It was also nice to see the family support given through the book. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
I truly enjoy reading about the Amish. They have such a good life. They are very private when it comes to their lives. They have good morals and are very hard working people.
