Cos something big and bad is going on and we won't let anything mess with my music... or you know, the world. Humza Khan is destined to be a big star—he’s always known it. But when his teachers start to disappear mysteriously and be replaced by aunties, Humza and his friends Umer and Wendy, must find out what’s going on before the aunties take over once and for all!
This is a hilariously funny, bizarrely inventive story with warm heart and a madcap cast of characters. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This book has been on my list for a while and finally got round to trying it. My only regret is not reading it sooner! I most definitely didn’t see the twists coming and have never laughed so much at some of the jokes!!! AMAZING!!!!
3.5 stars. this book made me laugh while i was stressing over my final year dissertation, and it felt like i was 11 years old again watching diary of a badman after school :’) i hope i can pick up more books from this series!
I think this was a good book.I enjoyed it more towards the end but it created a real funny yet serious atmosphere.I really enjoyed the way they revealed Grandpas character through the book and they created a nice bond between him and little Badman.
This is a great book it mixes UK and Pakistan culture and is also funny and very good and I interesting read I would recommend for an early teen (12-15)
This was an impulse buy that had me laughing from 4 lines in. I didn’t even make it to the end of the 1st paragraph before I had to put the book down and get this review started.
I actually laughed out loud in public and the more i read the more I started to think it was a little juvenile only to realise it was a kids book 😂😂
It’s a great light hearted read. Simple, relaxing and fun. I read most of it in a ‘freshie’ accents and imitating Humza from his YouTube channel in my head. It’s also provides a great insight in to asian/asian British life, the next person to ask me a question about my family is just getting a link to this book on Amazon forreals.
I recommend buying it cos everyone needs a laugh every now and then and this book is sure to provide it. It would also make the funniest sitcom: think fugget about it or American dad!
Currently thinking of ways to trick my sister into reading it......
