So, we are supposed to believe that the repair shop would leave 99 bitcoins in a hard drive that they put in the child's glasses for a minimal price? Yeah, right. *rolls eyes*

We're also supposed to believe that someone threw away a hard drive that contained 99 bitcoins without transferring it to the account on their new hard drive instead? Suuuuure. *rolls eyes*

I cannot help but be sarcastic, since the value of 99 Bitcoins is presently sitting at $625,801.77 and nobody in the story thought it weird at all that this small child suddenly ended up with all that money for free.

"Her world was not exactly like the one we live in today." - Perhaps, the only true sentence in the entire story. Because, you know that - in the world we live in today - NOBODY WOULD THROW AWAY OVER $600,000! And, also, that sort of money - if digital - would be password-protected, where no one but the (original) owner could access it.

An interesting read

I’m not big on fantasy. This is an exception because it can serve as a conversation starter with my youngest granddaughter. Reading is not her thing, it’s art which easily moves to the imaginative, and I am comfortable there.
Thanks for a story she will read with ease and opens the door to a world that is headed our way

This is a very bizarre children's book. The artwork is surprisingly good, so props for that, but the writing is... how do I put this politely?... a bit weird.

It's about a future society where people use augmented reality glasses. People can pay for things electronically! (Because they're in Europe? No, because apparently Bitcoin got popular.) Our little girl protagonist's AR glasses get broken, so her mom gets them fixed. But apparently, the spare components had a Bitcoin wallet with 99 Bitcoins on it! (This is described as being lot of money. After hearing about this book, I waited for a few weeks before buying it, and looks like the book got a lot funnier.) Bizarre and confusing augmented reality things ensue.

The book uses a lot of awkward phrasings and the structure is perhaps a bit more janky than what the intended audience expects. Even if we ignore the absurdity of "bitcoin is totally going to be relevant in far future" kind of claims, a good story could be crafted out of these bits, and this kind of isn't one.

Lisa is going shopping with mom, but mom is busy. So she puts on her Vision VR Glasses. Gets busy playing video games then tells her glasses to make her home look like a castle. She trips and breaks her glasses. A repairman fixes them while she plays with the repairmans big robot.
Lisa gets an upgrade. A coin purse. They go to the story and she starts looking through her glasses and the coin purse is vibrating. What does this mean? What will happen if she opens it?
This book is a beautiful book with a great story. Lisa is terrifically upbeat and happy. It explains bitcoin useage to where I can even understand it. Which I want to thank the author for. This will be a great read together book. Also, a good bedtime storybook.
I borrowed this book on a Kindle Unlimited website and so can you.

A young girl with special glasses that allow her to interact with games and worlds she creates accidently breaks them. Her mom takes her to get her glasses repaired. When they are returned there is a bitcoin wallet that pops up. The repairman had used a hard drive from an old discarded pair of glasses to repair them. The little girl uses the bitcoins to show kindness to others.

Magical

Love the irony of the story. Felt like I was reading a story from the future of our world. I enjoyed the journey of the character and the lessons that were taught throughout the story. Job well done.

Okayish

My children absolutely adore this book. Reading literature is so important to the development of a child's mind, and I cannot think of thing I would rather do then sit down to read to them in the evenings. Imagination and growth are so vital in those so young.
