Nikki was raised on a farm in South East Queensland, Australia and pursued a career in Primary Education. In addition to teaching, she has a passion for the arts, writing, drawing and painting, and loves birds. As her desire to have a positive impact on the lives of children merged with her love of art, several beautiful books to inspire and delight children were created.
Some of her books include A Beautiful Girl, The Garden in my Heart, What Love Looks Like, and Sooty & Snow. Her most recent book, Wilbur the Woolly, was shortlisted in the Omega Book Awards.
Nikki currently lives on the Gold Coast with her husband, children and four bantam chickens. She has a heart for the less fortunate and desires that her life may glorify God and inspire others to be all they were created to be.

This book is really inspirational. Every girl needs to read it to find what real beauty looks like as quite often it is only depicted as appearance, but beauty is not just skin deep. Read and enjoy - I did!

A Beautiful Girl is a beautiful book. I will admit that when I read the first page I was a little unsure because it starts out that a beautiful girl "has skin that is fair" and I was like, "oh no" but then as it goes on you see that a beautiful girl is any girl at all and she includes all types of physical traits that a girl may have (though, I didn't see an overweight girl...five year old me would have noticed that) but the real emphasis is on the character traits, as it should be. What makes you beautiful is inside, and I love that this book puts the emphasis there. The illustrations are beautiful and fun, I absolutely love them.

"A Beautiful Girl" by Nikki Rogers is a sweet, short book written in rhyme that works most of the time. The illustrations are very sweet and show how girls are different and are all beautiful. All kinds of different girls are represented in the story with sweet photos to show kindness and friendship towards everyone.
We would recommend this book to children around ages 3-5.

A beautiful book that goes beyond being just good looking. Read along and enjoy its rhyme, rhythm, and rendered illustrations. It is a story that only Nikki Rogers can tell it best. Girls of all ages who wish to explore whole person beauty will love this book. I did.

I loved the messages in this book. If I had a daughter I would read it over and over to her. The illustrations are lovely and the verses that goes with them are enlightening.

I love this special book!
It shows little girls that their qualities like being kind, thoughtful, helpful, and loving are what really matters, regardless of what they look like.
The message that we are all beautiful is so important.

We loved it!
My 8 year old daughter and I love this book I thought it was heart warming and true. My daughter loved it because she found herself as one of the girls. She also noticed the girl with the scarf and said she had cancer. She’s very perceptive and empathetic. ❤️

The book is illustrated with sweet, coloring pencil drawings. A little bluebird of happiness appears on every page with the featured girl.
I love the idea that the girls are all different but all beautiful. Each one brings something wonderful to the world. The theme is that every girl is precious and her unique qualities are to be cherished.
The only qualms I have with this book is that the rhyming is a little awkward at times. But the message is wonderful and I would buy this book for any little girl. At the price of 90 cents for the kindle version, it’s a steal.

Although A Beautiful Girl is short, the rhyme is very good. It is important for young children to realize that we are all beautiful and the outside isn't important. Great lesson on accepting all types of people and I plan to use it in a diversity lesson in the near future for my preschool classroom.

Every girl, whether big or small should read this book! It celebrates the true beauty within every girl which is often missed in our culture. Be encouraged to be yourself because you were created to be beautiful!

Love this book
I have daughters and this book is perfect for reinforcing how beautiful they are in who they are. I teach middle school youth group and I will be reading this to the girl's for our session on self-esteem.
