I absolutely loved reading this book and learning about children and how to improve my ability to help them in all areas. I was required to read this book for my Intro to Early Childhood Education class in college. I loved how they had a chapter for each age. For example, they have a chapter for Infants and Toddlers, Preschool Years, Kindergarten, Early Elementary Grades 1-3, and children with special needs. Of course, I learned much more than just children, I learned about becoming a professional teacher, the history and theories for teaching and learning, standards for teaching children, guiding children's behavior, and about helping and communicatng with parents, familes, and the community. Definitly recommend this book for anybody who wants to become a teacher or who is a teacher!
