so... I gained more from this study over time... however, McCarthy jumbles Habermas more than already necessary >~< it was like being knocked on the head with a brick for the summer seminar!!!

Extremely dry and extremely dense, I would have expected more time dedicated to critical theory and less to the philosophy of language. Still a solid introduction to early Habermas
