If the course load doesn’t kill her, one of her teachers might.

Having passed the Entrance Exam, sixteen-year-old Kacela is ready to buckle down and learn to be a true Hunter. But the Academy’s Headmistress has hired a new instructor—a former member of the Lusus Naturae, the self-described “freaks of nature” with dark plans to subjugate humanity.

When a student’s mutilated body is discovered on campus, all signs point to the new teacher’s guilt, and Kacela might be the only one who believes in her innocence. Worse, Kacela’s magics instructor has been assigned to investigate the murder and seems determined to ignore crucial evidence.

With no clear sense of where everyone’s loyalties lie, Kacela is about to get a crash course in what it really means to be a monster hunter.

Fans of Vampire Academy, Mortal Instruments, Harry Potter, and Dragon School will love Hunters’ Academy!

Author Ivy Hearne brings us Kacie's next adventure at the Hunter's Academy with Crash Corse. It's the start of a new semester at the Academy and Kacie is starting to find out more about her powers, the ones that she had tapped into while dealing with the Imp over the holiday break. One night as she and Tony where going out on their first day and walking around campus they come across a dead body, belonging to a centaur shiftier which had been cut in half. They race back and tell the headmistress what they had found and two sensor hunters are assigned to investigate. One of them is her hunting partners brother. Kacie realizes that the older hunters aren't doing their job and goes and asks her friend a question about centaur shiftiers and why someone would want to kill one. She then stumbles onto the reason. That is were I will leave this review and say that I really enjoyed this novella and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. I highly recommend this book to fastasy fans.

Enjoyable

I enjoy this ongoing story. I am just frustrated that it is so episodic and i have to wait a month for the next one. I would love to get a little meat but we are thrown little rpisodes that illuminate a bigger picture one piece at a time. I like Kacie and I like her supporting characters although I hope Souji gets fleshed out a bit more soon. I like the story though and hope to keep reading

I want more so you get a four

I need the full book not just a few pages. This is just too good to pass up. The girl who doesn't know the extent of her powers, a school with spies from the dark side (enemies) and two handsome rivals, along with paranormal teachers and a cast of students who shift, fight and growl. What more do you need? Now go, read.

A new instructor shows up and once again, the MC and her budding talents manages to uncover what others are not aware of. I am on the fence about the head mistress. She keeps riding the shady fence. The series is still keeping me interested so that’s a definite plus! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.

Very enjoyable great reading

I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they came together. It was sad that one of the students was killed and I hope they catch that doppelganger. I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Crash Course is another fun book in the Hunter's Academy series. Although kind of short, it is a fun read filled with twists and turns, danger, budding romance and humor. The characters are well developed and endearing. I can't wait to see what the rest of the series brings!

Kacie is finding trouble again

Kacie finds a dead body and the school has two new teachers. Could one of them be the killet? Why is Kacie always finding trouble? I can't wait to find out why she is special.

Good read

These books are good and enjoyable, I just really wish they where longer. They're like episodes in a season. Each book is like a small part of the first year story. I love the mystery and the characters, and am looking forward to finding out more about Kacie's powers.
