Roxane Quinn has worked for years toward becoming the event coordinator for the hotel her father runs in Quinn Valley. As soon as she starts the new position, she hears that the only man she has ever loved has moved back to town and is now running a business out of a taco truck. She’s worried she won’t be able to keep her heart intact with her high school sweetheart so close. Ciran Benedict once thought that being a big-city lawyer was the only thing that mattered in life. He worked hard toward his goal, and once he’d accomplished it, he realized he wanted more from life. He has recently returned to his home-town to operate a taco truck and provide the good people of Idaho superior tacos. Deep inside, he hopes that he can rekindle his romance with Roxane Quinn, the girl who got away. Will he be able to convince her they are meant to be together? Or will he have to be content to love her from afar?
This story opened up the setting and was the introduction of the characters. This story however, was not only predictable but the wording was not up to Kirsten Osbourne 's caliber. It was too repetious. I got bored with all the details of a high school romance. I'm hoping the series will be less amateurish and the series will improve. I suspect that it will do just that.
I truly enjoyed reading this book! Taco Truck Tryst is a great start to the new series, Quinn Valley Ranch. I found this story about Roxie & Ciran to be delightful & touching. They were both in love. Talking about a future. Going away to college, till plans changed. The story will draw you in from the very beginning. It's a feel good romance. I loved everything about it! I'm very excited to read this new series. A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!!
I love this start to a new series. I can't wait to read more. I love Roxanne and her love interest Ciran. I love all the side characters and would just love to kick back in Quinn Valley and spend some time eating tacos. The story line was quick moving and a fun easy read.
I've never read the word taco so much! Lol. But that's ok. It constantly made me smile. The theme of this book was true love never dies. This was a great way to start off the new series of Quinn Valley. It's an interesting, clean and fun book and I recommend it to all readers!
I couldn't get past the first couple of pages, there were to many errors and it just didn't flow right. At one point her oldest brother is named Bobling then two paragraphs later she says her parents have all of their children names that start with the letter R. I quit at page 5....
I feel the story line could of been a little more exciting. Going from Lawyer to taco seller was odd. Restaurant owner would have been more believable. But if you just focused on the sweetheart part of the story, it was ok. Thank you!:-)
I wasn't sure it was possible before I read this book! Teen sweethearts meet again when the boy that got away returns home. With a little help from some grandmothers love may bloom again for these two.
Taco-Truck Tryst starts off the new multi-author series Quinn Valley Ranch, which is located right next door to the River’s End Ranch – so expect some shared locations, and maybe a familiar face or two from that series.
Roxane and Ciran’s story was a good introduction to the various members of the Quinn family (which is rather huge), and some of the businesses and their owners in this small seasonal tourist town. Throughout high school they were a couple, even if Roxane’s father didn’t exactly approve and had plans to go off to college together as well… until Roxie changed her mind on that. Distance and her fears broke them up for about eight years, but with Ciran’s return to town they have another chance to make their romance work this time around.
While I enjoyed Taco-Truck Tryst, I do have to say that it was rather bland and repetitive. To clarify, I read Kirsten Osbourne’s work across genres all the time, am addicted actually to some series… but I couldn’t buy the stepping right back into the way things once were without a second thought premise of this romance. I don’t need angst, but… something little at least to compromise or something over would have given this a touch more realistic feeling – for me. Yet, to also be fair, it was an excellent introduction to the Quinn family and their dynamics. I will continue this series, there is no doubt about that, and I’m looking forward to the different touches the other authors will bring to the Quinn Valley Ranch series as well.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Kristen Osbourne tasty opening romance to the Quinn Valley Ranch series. Fun, whimsical story that make the reader's mouth water and lightens the spirit. Delightful characters, intriguing setting, twist and turn plot with family conflicts, and a believable resolution. Great weekend or TACO TUESDAY read.
The series starts with one of the eldest Quinn girls Roxanne. There's plenty of siblings and cousins. Her first and only love is back in town. Ciran returns after eight years away determined to get Roxy back and this time she isn't getting away. Wonderful start to the new series. Plenty of new characters and a few you might already know.
Just a sweet love that started many years before. Finally after Cian finds being a lawyer is just not what he wants to do with his life. He goes back home to the girl he has always loved. With his taco truck he embraces Roxana and makes sure she knows how much he loves her. This is great book and i would recommend anyone could read and enjoy it.
Story had a cute premise and fun characters that was sweet and clean for all age groups. High school sweethearts who go different directions Roxanne and Ciran. Love the large family encompassing generations. I can't wait to Dean about all of the Quinn's! - Babs
Ciran-lawyer turned taco truck owner and Roxane- entertainment director at the Quinn hotel. I enjoyed reading this sweet romance that is well written and has strong characters. Their story has a sweet and complete HEA!
I like the new series can't wait for next one. It was like they were never separated for 8 yrs. I'd like how they all pulled together when Robert gotten sick and ciran stepef up
Sweet and fun story. I loved the chemistry between Roxanne and Ciren. It’s obvious there will be more books to follow. I can hardly wait to read about more of this family. The quirky characters make it a joy to read.
Kirsten has done it again. The beginning of another wonderful series. As usual the story has humor and sweetness. Loved how she introduced the whole Quinn clan in such a natural way. Looking forward to the next book.
I really enjoyed this book. So sweet the way Ciran remembered Roxane's food allergies so many years later. Loved that he took her to the same place to propose as where he asked her to to be his girlfriend many years before.
Became a fan of this author's books when I started reading her River's End series. Quinn Valley appears to be another entertaining addition to her library of books. Her stories are cute and down to earth romances.
There are 27 books in the series and so far all have exceeded expectations love will continue to see what happens next well worth the read you will find you want to continue the journey with all of this family
I adore Quinn Valley and the family. I've read some of the books here and there but I am now tackling the collection. Book one doesn't disappoint and seriously, who doesn't enjoy a mighty fine taco?~
I had read the River"s End Ranch Series. The Quinn Valley Ranch Series is written by the same authors and is suppose to be comparable. Based on Book 1, I would say not as good. It was ok
Loved Loved Loved this book! The transition from Rivers End to Quinn Valley was flawless, and I loved the characters! Cannot wait for next in the series!
