It starts very badly. it starts like retelling the well-known book of Carol Dweck, Mindset. But after the first Chapter, it becomes interesting. It contains a lot of useful insights but it also contains some repetitive stuff like a description of Pareto rule etc., which makes the book boring. Couple parts of the book weren't convincing at all. Especially the last one where it is mostly about the difference between real and fake experts. In overall it is a decent book. I admit it contains a lot of useful insights. Probably they should be presented in a more appealing way.

I really enjoyed reading this book

This book contains very valuable processes. I will be recommending it to many people. It engrossed me because I could relate to something in every chapter. In learning my profession I basically did what the chapters outlined, however, I did most of the steps by instinct. I could have used this book of instructions 40 years ago. I probably would have gotten smarter faster. Thank you for writing it.

The memory section would benefit from discussion of memory palaces, but I was a fan of the paths to expertise chapter and the summaries are really helpful. I read this book in two days, it's no Mastery by Robert Greene but it's worth a read.

Another Good Book in a Twelve Part Series

I gave reviews for the last five books that I read. The truth is I'm running out of words to describe how much I've learned from reading these books. So, I'll end by saying Mr. Hollins books helped me out a lot.
