Trying to be objective and fair 4/5 stars, personal enjoyment rating more like 3/5 - but this was a cheap charity shop find and I think I'm not the main target audience for this book.

Has hundreds of photos of the nice looking bits of Britain. Solid mix of urban and rural, natural vs man-made. The photos are of a high quality and nice to look at. Each photo has a paragraph caption with some info. If you want a coffee table style book with photos of Britain this is a good choice.

This book, although from the 90s, is still a pleasure to thumb through. The photographs are beautiful and it's easy to imagine what it would be like to walk the hill at Glastonbury Tor in Somerset or to gaze upon the hills of Snowdonia while reminiscing of the majestic Scottish highlands. This book takes you on a visual tour of places I've often dreamed of going to.
