The sky is falling! cries Chicken Licken. Soon every animal in the farmyard is rushing to warn the King. Even sly old Foxy Loxy wants to help. Or does he?

I’ve never actually read this story before, I’ve only seen the Disney film. I think the original story has a great lesson to it. Don’t believe everything you hear, check your sources, and have an open mind. Nobody questioned if the sky was actually falling or not until they saw the acorn hit the wolf 🐺. Then they all realized how silly it was to believe the sky was falling. Fun read!

A fun retelling of a loved classic tale! My daughter and I giggle as we read through the story. I enjoy watching her face light up as we say the funny rhyming words, and the silly pictures to match! Delightful.
This book was about a little chicken who was afraid of everything. He sat down under a big oak tree, and a squirrel dropped an acorn from the tree and it fell on Chicken Licken's head. He raced all around the tree saying "the sky is falling the sky is falling the sky is falling!" He dreamed of telling the king, and he thought he really should tell him for real.
I liked this book a lot. My favorite part was when Chicken Licken is afraid of the friendly mouse and of his own shadow.
