Mark Martin needs a ship. He and his crew are marooned on a world controlled by vicious gangsters and a corrupt military. If Mark is to have any hope saving his father, he'll have to deal with them. The price is high and it's more than his life at stake, it's the lives of everyone he cares about. Caught between ruthless criminals and bloodthirsty aliens Mark takes a desperate gamble. Will they survive, or be the latest casualties in a galaxy wide war.
But there is a sad body count, as well as graphic violence. I like Mark and his allies, which is why I decided to read Marque, even though I disliked the way Burning ended. The AI is fun, and so is Holly.
Very fast moving and enjoyable space opera science fiction novel. Probably the end of a duology but the possibility of future books is possible. The war with the PorguBears is not over
A very exciting follow up to the first book. It starts off right were the first one ended, which I am a fan of. It's a fun read and is building up to what should be a thrilling conclusion.
