Amanda was born into a large Irish-Italian family and raised in the leafy green suburbs of County Dublin, Ireland. After dabbling in a few different career paths, she finally found her calling as an author after winning an online writing competiton with her first finished novel. With three small daughters at home, her days are usually spent doing school runs, changing diapers and writing romance. She still considers herself unbelievably lucky to be able to call this her day-job.
First time author but definitely not last, loved everything about this book the H was hot and alpha ( that's important to me ) and the h was sweet and kind but strong ! BUT I wanted my cheesy and cute epilogue with cute babies , ms. Amanda please next time write an epilogue 😊
Princess is about to be forced in a marriage of convenience with a sheikh: she tries to escape but is caught by the hero who rescues/kidnaps her in order to convince her to change her mind and merry for royal duty. They are forced to stay together and... passion explodes. Good read mostly for the hero's character. I think the author did a very good job in describing his tortured character: a self made man with a horrible past and fighting his desire because of his honor. He is cynical and abrupt but also wonderfully protective with the h - a real swoon worthy alpha. I think the strory dragged out a little in the middle but the end was really good/emotional.
One Night with the Forbidden Princess by Amanda Cinelli is the first story in the Monteverre Marriages series and tells the sexy tale of a woman who is supposed to be married off in an arrangement by her parents, only to fall for the groom’s best friend!
When security expert Roman Lazarov is tasked with infiltrating a palace, he doesn’t expect his plans to be interrupted by a woman who seems to be one step ahead of him in a secret passageway no one should know about. But as it turns out, she’s not a would be burglar – she’s a Princess.
Princess Olivia of Monteverre doesn’t have many avenues of escape from her life as a dutiful daughter in a royal family, expected to marry on demand for the good of her country. But she does know the ins and outs of the palace and how to get around for brief moments of respite, until she’s caught by Roman. After that first meeting, he finds her once more as she’s debating a real escape from the announcement of her engagement to a man she’s never met, and offers her a chance to make up her mind in private; specifically, on his yacht, and then his remote Spanish island. Roman is determined to keep his hands off the woman who is supposed to marry his friend Khal, the Sheikh of Zayyar, though the circumstances of their ‘engagement’ are not what he’d expected. When their close quarters result in some passionate interludes, will the arranged wedding be off, and a real marriage take place instead?

This book deals with a few things I don't particularly care for (in books in general): fictitious countries, fictitious royalty, Russian heroes.
How do I rise above this? By reading an author who writes so exquisitely that none of the 'dislikes' make a difference to me. I cannot even begin to explain why I loved this book so much, and why the author's writing is so beautiful that everything flows so beautifully it pulls the reader along for the ride.
The heroine was kind and gentle and simply wanted to be in control of her life. The hero, who had a rough start in life to say the least, grew into a tough man who truly had a lot of goodness in him and simply needed to acknowledge and accept it.. They both carry their burdens well without some authors' push to reinforce just how angsty they are. There can be far too much "oh poor me" and not enough humanity behind their angst in some books. Cinelli's touch was perfect.
Not to mention Roman's honor!
I loved this book. I love Amanda Cinelli's writing style, her exquisite way with words. Every once in a while, not often enough, an author rises to the top - Amanda Cinelli is one of those authors. And I'm desperate to read Khalil's story. My thanks to this wonderful author for bringing me such pleasure while I was reading this book.
I was instantly swept up in a tantalizing journey where two intense and sophisticated characters played out a chess game of emotions, explosive passion and intense angst which left me wholly satisfied in the end. Amanda Cinelli brings out the best in Roman and Olivia. She paints a riveting picture that keeps you hooked throughout the story. Roman and Olivia are likable and I had much fun getting to known them. Overall, One Night with the Forbidden Princess is sexy and engaging and such a quick, engaging read!
