Searching for a Soul to Love
Greg has lived an ordinary life until one fateful morning when all that changes. Greg has no clue how much his life is about to transform when he encounters Aaden and subsequently his cat. When odd things start to happen, Greg finds he must trust in things he’d never dreamed were conceivable while attempting to understand why Aaden is fighting their mutual attraction tooth and nail.
Aaden has known since he was fourteen that he was different. Not only did he discover he was gay, but he also had a strange and bizarre connection to Max, the cat his parents adopted. Plagued for years with visions of another time and place, Aaden finds he must fulfil a promise. A promise that has nothing to do with him, but yet, it has everything to do with him.
He finds that he must right a wrong that happened centuries earlier and acknowledge and accept his true soulmate. Sounds simple, right? Then why does life seem to be conspiring to stop him from connecting with Greg, on every level?
Max is an extraordinary cat. He was the king of his kind—the Manx Cat Guardians—until he messed with the fates and became a soul bearer. For centuries, he has carried the burden of knowing he needs to aid the souls he carries, to find their true recipients and fulfil a promise made.
Can he finally right the wrongs of the past when he has been keeping secrets, especially when the fates seem to be interfering?
Only time will tell.

I’m a writer, but I’m sure you guessed that by now if you’re reading this, hey? What you might not know is I’m a little quirky, live in my pj’s most of the time and have cake Saturdays with my sisters every week. I dedicate a little of my time to taking care of my grandbabies and on the dedicated writing days I like to write an eclectic mix of romance, suspense and paranormal fantasy. In the main I’ve written gay romance but I’m branching out under another the pen name in the future, so watch this space.
I’ve a passion for books like you would not believe and it led me down this path and now I’ve over 29 books released and heading towards releasing a whole lot more. The way my head is I never know where I’ll be headed next. I hope you’ll find a little joy in my words and follow me to see where the journey takes me and you.
If you’re interested at some point in 2021 I’ll be writing under the name JP Paton which will be F/M crime and Fantasy two of my favourite things. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled

Je suis écrivain, mais je suis sûr que vous l’avez deviné maintenant si vous lisez ceci, hein? Ce que vous ne savez peut-être pas, c'est que je suis un peu excentrique, que je vis dans mon pyjama la plupart du temps et que je prends un gâteau le samedi avec mes sœurs chaque semaine. Je consacre un peu de mon temps à m'occuper de mes petits-enfants et lors des journées consacrées à l'écriture, j'aime écrire un mélange éclectique de romance, de suspense et de fantaisie paranormale. Dans l’ensemble, j’ai écrit une romance gay, mais je vais dans le futur sous un autre nom de plume, alors surveillez cet espace.
J'ai une passion pour les livres comme vous ne le croiriez pas et cela m'a conduit dans cette voie et maintenant j'ai plus de 29 livres publiés et je me dirige vers la sortie de beaucoup plus. La façon dont ma tête est, je ne sais jamais où je vais me diriger ensuite. J'espère que vous trouverez un peu de joie dans mes paroles et que vous me suivrez pour voir où le voyage vous mène, moi et vous.

I was gifted my copy of this book from the author, that I write a review was not required.
This is book 4 in the Manx Cat Guardian series, and you really SHOULD, at the very least, read book three, Where It All Began before this one. It has a direct impact on this one. Book two, When Past and Present Collide, would be helpful to know what happens to Stuart, but not as necessary as book 3.
Aadan goes to the Isle of Man to help Joe deal with his ex. His cat, Max, comes with. The minute Max lands on the island where it all began, the island that was once his home, things start happening: to Max, to Aadan, and to Greg, who works with Martin (book one) and Stuart (book 2) Can Max finally bring peace to his charges: to Olafr and Magnus, the two souls he has carried for a millennia and to Aadan and Greg?
After reading book two, I was waiting for this one, Aadan and Greg have a poweful reaction in that book and it flows over into this one. It bubbles and simmers along for a huge chunk of the book, and it's not til over 90% do they FINALLY come together! Aadan was fighting the attraction, the pull of Greg a scary thing, but once he decides to go with it?? Interruption after interruption keep them from being together! While incredibly frustrating, for them and us, I think it was right and proper it took them so long.
Greg now carries the soul of Magnus, and he feels everything that Magnus did on the fateful night in the nightmares that plague him. I said in my review for Where It All Began, that it would have been too much to hear from Magnus in THAT book. But here, Magnus has his voice, and while I stand by what I said, because it's truly painful reading, when Magnus calls to his beloved to finally end his torment, it is NECESSARY that he has his voice here. And you do need to hear what he has to say.
Max in utterly smitten (it's the best word I can find!) with Princess, and at the end of this book, he's left with an impossible choice! I could not call which way he will go, and hopefully I won't have to wait too long to find out.
Aadan's younger brother, Nick plays a part here, and his story is laid out. That could be quite explosive, given how Nick reacts to Brody, Aadan's friend!
I loved the final chapter, with both Magnus and Olafr having a say and them finally, after such a long time apart, coming together forever. OH!! Loved the little twist about when the souls were both in Max.
The author's skill continues to grow, and it shows in each and every book.
Aside from having to wait so bloody long for the main event, and for the choice Max in left with, I loved this book, so...

Searching for a Soul to Love by JP Sayle is part of The Manx Cat Guardians series. This story was one I really needed after reading Where It All Began. The souls of those characters are finally getting another chance to fix what was destroyed before... a chance at a HEA.
Aaden and Greg are wonderful character, their story fun, sweet and sexy. I have a soft spot for doulmstes! And Princess and Max added great aspect to this story. This story was everything I hoped for and needed to read. I cant wait for the next book and any others to come. So much can happen from this point.

Oh my goodness, they are finially going to get together, after all this time two soulmates reunited, but why is it so difficult to make it happen. All of Aaden's life he has wanted to find his soulmate and now that he's found him he's balking, almost terrified to try a finish this. Greg has has a horrible time picking boyfriends his whole life and when he meets Aaden he knows he would like to be more than friends, but why is he being so difficult. This book has you so invested emotionally reading it so you just have to find out if the fairytale will come true, really enjoyed reading this from cover to cover well done JP Sayle this book is a total winner!

Complex, beautiful, heart wrenching and soul mending journey to love. Wow, this book was awesome! The characters were complex and intense which fit perfectly with this complicate story-line that will keep you riveted to your kindle the entire book.
Aaden and Greg are terrific as they figure out their journey and themselves. I found their story compelling and profound. The writing was beautiful and the world-building was outstanding. I believed every one of those profound concepts.
Max, our Guardian was sure left in a quandary and i really gotta have more of his story soon!

I received this book by the author and this is my honest opinion.
I loved this book and the characters. It was nice to see the progress of confidence and love grown between Greg and Aaden. To have another chance at love, and how it all unfolded was brilliant and was definitely a complex and intricate plight was so worth the read. Love it

greg and aaden really got my heart beating. i loved them. their journey was so emotional. i loved Max, omg i need more Max. this is my first time reading this series, and i loved it! i will def have to read the rest of the series. would def recommend this book!

I am just loving this series so much. They all have been beautifully written and I just can't stop reading them. Greg and Aaden's story is no different. This had my emotion everywhere but damn I still couldn't put this down. If you haven't started this series definitely start. It is so amazing.

so good and complex and interesting.. very good story and characters.. this was heartwrenching and heartwarming. complex emotions and raw feeling.. it was well written and very good
