There are a number of adaptations of The Little Engine that Could, but this one might just take the cake for the strangest. Full of Thanksgiving puns (Gobbleville and Susie Craberrry) and a strange story about a group of band kids who need to get to their Thanksgiving parade on time, this book weaves in the little blue engine in the middle of the story.

Who knew there were a whole lot of books involving the old little engine that could?
Well apparently they are and if this is anything to go by they are basically like the same song remixed with the same phrase I think I can on repeat.
Anyway it is what it is, and I may just see how many Little Engine books I can annoy myself with.
I think I can anyway.

This story was a nice second adaption of the old classic "The Little Engine that Could" Same concept in this story as in the classic. A band was on the way to the parade, but their bus broke down. The Little Engine offers to take them up and over the mountain to the parade. She is overloaded and not sure she can make it but she tells herself "I think I Can" and sure enough in the end she overcomes the obstacles and makes it. My 3 year old granddaughter and I enjoyed reading and looking at this story.
