Research reading to feed my 17c obsession. Interesting comparisons drawn between a King who based his moves in the Civil War on principles, and the nephew (raised as a professional soldier) who served as a key commander.

Disappointingly, this book suffered from not having enough letters to and/or from King Charles I and Prince Rupert. The others were interesting, but there are better collections of Civil War correspondence out there.
