This is heavy stuff and there were passages I could not understand, but I loved it nevertheless. It is philosophy at its best in that it is mainly comprehensible to the average person who has a strong interest in metaphysical subjects. If you don't, forgedaboutit! It covers subjects such as the influence of mind on physical things, telepathy, pschykinesis, the relationship between mind and matter, and asks thought-provoking questions such as not 'why are we here', but, rather, why do we ask the question in the first place and what implications are there in the question itself? Many people get bored and irritated at such queries, but I find them stimulating. The author often expresses his own views on these weighty issues, which I like. Many writers do not wish to intrude their own views into their work for fear of muddying the waters of their arguments for or against a particular position, but I prefer to know their own opinions as well. By book's end, I feel the reader is left a great deal wiser about the nature of the universe and of himself, or, at the very least, as the title aptly suggests, his awareness will indeed be expanded.

My grandfather gave me this book when I was a young man. It was an eyeopener and changed the way I see things even now.
