This is one of those books that is fun because it has flaps - it could be about anything at all, but the flaps make it interesting to Squirt. (I have scorned many kids books only to discover Squirt has a different opinion - to him, books are still largely toys, so any moving parts, bells or whistles are a big bonus. And that's as literary as his criticism gets!)

My toddler adores this book, otherwise I would rate it about 1.5 stars. The flaps are really hard for her to open herself so she mostly just likes to skip to the end and look at the animal faces.
