Kimberly Loth can’t decide where she wants to settle down. She’s lived in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Utah, California, Oregon, and South Carolina. She finally decided to make the leap and leave the U.S. behind for a few years. Currently, she lives in Cairo, Egypt with her husband and two kids.
She is a high school math teacher by day (please don’t hold that against her) and YA author by night. She loves romantic movies, chocolate, roses, and crazy adventures. Kissed is her first novel.
To have all four at your fingertips is the best way to fully immerse yourself! Here are my reviews for each book. As usual, all my reviews are voluntarily written. The smoking lamp: Totally was looking forward to getting my hands on this start of a new series, and I haven't been disappointed. Love this authors take on a genie’s three wishes! This book one will definitely keep you guessing as to the outcome between Gabe and Liv, many, many plot twists! And true to form I have once again been left handing over an edge waiting for book two. There has got to be an addiction class somewhere to alleviate this feeling lol. Beautifully written, another masterpiece by Ms. Loth! The blazing glass: Liv and Gabe are in love but loving each other seems destined to fill their future with trauma. I absolutely love this authors ability to present so many mysterious twists and turns into a storyline. It truly makes me crave page after page! The romance, the dangers, the brilliant characters and creatures, every box gets checked in these tales! Let’s not even talk about the outcomes! I get blindsided most of the time, but that just stirs the desire for the next book even more! The glowing sands: This is the third in a series do I recommend you read in order. This author picks up this ongoing storyline beautifully from the previous book. Lots of plot twists and mysteries that definitely make flying through this book a breeze. These characters feel like actual people so I find myself empathizing with the decisions and tasks that they go through. The conclusion though......hanging off the edge seems to be something I enjoy lately......but only for a well told tale such as this! The exploding sky: Wow! This has been an amazing series! As usual, my attention was glued to this story from the jump. These characters have kept me enraptured from the very first book, and the resolution reached could not have been any more perfect. The fate of Liv and Gabe? This is a definite must read! Loved every part of this series and so very glad it is in my collection
I voluntarily review an ARC. I just love this series and couldn't put any of these books down. I already gave each book of the series five stars, so this collection is worth twenty stars. Who loves fairytales with lots of magic, romance and unexpected turns should absolutely try this series!
First half was good and then the 2nd half was annoying
If you read this book go into it knowing the main characters aren't exactly good. They are selfish and only care about what they want. Lawful good they are not. Everyone else can die because why should the universe as a whole exist if the other isn't there for them. Who cares about other people or even your friends and family? Then after risking the lives of entire groups for the life of one it gets worse. Give up my connection? But then I won't feel their presence...but people will die....but I need to feel him...PEOPLE ARE BEING KILLED! I skimmed to the end to see how many people they let die and to see how it ended.
this book.... Man it was great. I didn't know when i started but theres, the MC is underage the whole series so theres No steamy, detailed, smexy stuff,( which usually is a deal breaker for me) but i honestly didn't notice! The story, the character developments, the world building was all fantastic! I was hooked from chapter 1. I love the double POV. I typically read 18+ romance with lots of steam and while i loved the characters enough i wished for a glimpse of that side of them, it was still overall a great story. With lots of magic, secrets, passion, suspense, mystery, and action. i would read this series again! And recommended to all the magic and paranormal fiction fans.
I enjoyed the series. I've seen a lot of complaints in reviews, but these are fun reads... And they're FICTION! Some of the reviews acted as though they weren't... Of course some of the stuff was unbelievable - but again - fiction. I felt like the story kept on track and all of the happenings were explained. The only one I couldn't understand was why Liv didn't just command Gabe back to her... With her powers and his vessel it seemed to me she should have been able to.
The Smoking Lamp: Oh no, I already finished! It's refreshing to read a book like this, about jinns. Gabe is very new into the New World and doesn't like to study. Uh oh. Liv is a bit jaded but very passionate. Awesome characters! Can't wait for the sequel.
The Blazing Glass: The story continues with tragedies, revenge, revelations and many travels. The bad guy keeps eluding the somewhat good guys as in any great superhero story!
The Glowing Sands: Yep another great book about Liv and Gabe! Only one more after this... That’s good because I want to know how it ends, but sad because then I can’t read about them anymore. What’ll happen with Samir and Gran?
The Exploding Sky: What a great way to finish the series! At first Gabe and Liv are in an impossible situation. Whatever choice they make will hurt people. But after that anything can happen. Loved how they battle internally with their personal love and their responsibility towards others. Balance isn’t easy to find, but so worth it! But is it really the last book, because the most evil and manipulative one got off very lightly? Or will the next book be from that point of view. Guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

This is a different kind of reading for me. I enjoy paranormal romance books but first time any I read had to do with Genies. It had several twist and turns. I would recommend this book if you like these kind of stories. Another really good Paranormal Romance series is The Shade of Vampire Series by Bella Forrest.
Thank you Kimberly Loth for a great unique series of books.
If I never read another book again (shame on me for thinking it but...) I will always remember the different characters and series that Kim Loth writes!! They are immortal and beautiful and totally out of this world! I'm currently applying to be a super can because she it completely amazing! Any and all her books are well worth the cost to read, they will stay with you always!
Sleep deprived but loved every minute of it! Excellent series start to finish
I devoured this series! Vivid descriptions, well rounded characters and wild fast moving plots that keep you reading well into the wee hours. So well written it's like watching a movie in your head while reading! I could picture each character, feel their emotions and went on a wild ride with them! Highly recommend
Very immature. Too quick with the love and the lust (although toned down enough that it’s not racy). There’s not really much depth to the characters or their relationships. This is a TRUE YA ... but the eagerness of the MC to have sex needs to be deleted for it to be truly appropriate for younger audiences.
I finished 2 of the 3 books and the end of book 2, while a plot twist, just made me not want to continue on.
I’m so glad I got to read this series all at once - because the individual books have some big cliffhangers! This was an easy read and the storyline had a good pace, with lots of surprises, twists and turns. Good character development - I really liked Liz and Gabe, and the circle of friends around them!
Words can not express how much I enjoy this writer Kimberly Loth another wonderful story my first was The Dragon Kings and now Sons of Sand has not disappointed, she has hooked me am a devoted fan she makes you love her characters and feel like you know them, you laugh, cry and sometimes get angry😊
A mysterious and magical series full of romance and suspense. I really enjoyed the series learning more about this new magical world along the way. The characters were lifelike and easy to read. A great series for fantasy fans!
A mystical series with Jinn, goddesses and witches in battle. When a Jinn and goddess, who should be enemies, fall in love the are in the fight of their lives. A fantastical ride of danger, secrets and love abound.
I loved this series from page 1 I was all in. 🧞♂️Loved it and it has a wonderful HEA ending... As this Was my first series with this wonderful author. I am now off to read the Dragon kings....🏃🏽♀️💨🐉🐲
I thought this was a really good series up until the end. I have read other series by the same author and enjoyed them as well but I just felt like the ending was a little rushed and anticlimactic. Still a good read though.
Interesting take on genies and goddesses. Glad this was a complete series and box set because there’s some definite cliffhangers. Enjoyed these books and the characters. Melissa was a big twist. Gran was a little more predictable, but still well done.
I don't know if it was the pace of the story or the plot, but I found this difficult to read. The characters were fantastic, but the whole series just felt harried & somewhat jumbled.
I read the first book, which was an okay story. I skipped to the last few chapters in the last book. Hoping to find a reason to read the rest of the stories. This is a series of which the H is a Junior in highschool!
I couldn't stop reading it. This isn't exactly the kind of book I usually read, but it sounded interesting so I thought I'd give it a chance. I'm so glad I did. It was worth the time to read it and I will remember the story for a long time.
This was a really good book, but it did leave me with a few questions in regard to a few different things. I chose to ignore them and the book did end really well. There were a few things I never seen coming and a few that I did. All in all a great read.
This series was exciting! I went through serious withdrawal between books. There are twists that keep you on the edge of your seat and wondering what the heck is going to happen next!
Fantastic story. Liv and Gabe are wonderful characters who gave me hope. As always, love is the most powerful of magics. The twists and turns are truly unpredictable.
