This will be a lovely shock to your system!

Being struck by a bolt of lightning has nothing over on the chemistry between Russ and Paul! Russ is a professor Paul meets when he attends a college course, in order to learn more about electricity, so he can control the power surges he deals with on a daily basis. Living in close contact with other elementalists, he has lots of support, but no one can really touch him without fear.

Russ and Paul have both faced fear from others and have believed they had a form of mental illness because of things they see. Only, together, do they accept the gifts they have and learn to use them for personal satisfaction...in more than one way!

Discord occurs when a nemesis from the past, in the form of Brian Clegg, returns and causes problems for all ot them.

I'm hoping for a story for Sig and a return of Jared along with more from Grandma Olga.

I received an ARC from the author. This review is freely given without coercion on the part of any author or elementalist!

The main characters in this story are Paul and Russ, Paul, who can't touch anything electronic, and yes, I guess you can see how well that will go in our modern life. But then, he moves with his twin to Pittsburgh, with Ash and Cooper, and things get... complicated.

Which is why he tries to get a better understanding of his power, and hey! Russ teaches high-voltage techniques and Paul decides to attend to his class. You can say their first meeting was charged :P And Russ, he can 'see' electrical charges, and he can help Paul to control his gift. Their gifts work together, and the mutual attraction is obvious since the first moment.

I love to see how they work and grow together, how Paul gets control of his powers. But there is also the matter of Jared and the katana, and of course, Brian Clegg is back causing problems,

A fantastic new instalment on this series.

Sadly, Mace Earl Finn is good, but I don't like when the narrator is changed in the middle of the series :/

This book took me by surprise...I really enjoyed the relationship building between Paul and Russ. Watching Paul learn to use his abilities was very intriguing even if I didn't understand all of the science behind it (that was never my best subject haha). This story is well written and well balanced in my opinion. I didn't read the first two books in the series and at first I thought I was going to be lost but I wasn't, the author does a good job of catching you up with what's going on without drowning out the story.

I listened to the audible version of this book. The narration in this story wasn't the best I've experienced nor was it the worst. I do feel like the narrator should have distinguised between the different voices a little better because there were a few times that I had to back up to figure out who was talking but overall his voice was enjoyable.

I absolutely love this series. While the series has an impressive cast of characters this book focuses mostly of Paul and his new found boyfriend Russ, their meeting was electrically charged to say the least😉. It is a great continuation of the Disorderly Elements world, I just really enjoy the entire premise of the series and how it integrates into the 'real' world. All of the characters showed immense growth but especially Paul, he really starts to come into his own. I'm so looking forward to the next book in the series (Fire elemental time🔥🔥🔥!).

I love the Disorderly Elements series! It is great to see how Olivette is able to continue the stories of existing characters while introducing new family members, love interests, and other elementalists. I really hope that the antagonism between Ash's group and Brian's group will diminish. It would be great to see them all work together. I love the idea of a group of people dedicated to saving the planet from the destruction of the human race.

I received an ARC. This is my honest, voluntary review.
