I am Dominic Stone and this is my story. My childhood would have destroyed anyone else. Not me. I fought. I overcame.Made the darkness my friend. Then I saw her Avery Charmichael. She is my My shining star in the darkness.Until she shatters me in a way nothing else ever could. Back in the darkness, I swear my vengeance and I will it get it even if it means I die doing it.
Wow this Dominic is what I call a true man. He loved his wife so much he was celibate for 20 years even when believing she was dead because she was his soulmate and he made vows to her. How often do you read about men who sleep around even after they profess to have loved their h so much? Well I have read too many of those so it’s beautiful to read about a man who honoured his body and didn’t let any other woman touch what he believed was his wife’s alone. That’s true devotion people!!! Loved him.

Dominic is brilliant story. I loved it even more than Avery. What a great idea and a brilliant writer! This book was extraordinary. Not like the first one at all, but a good different. A different that will bring many emotions out of you and will definitely hook you from the first to the very last page. It’s not romantic story but is more like suspense mystery. I absolutely loved it. This is the best sequel I have ever read. The first book was great, but this one...perfection. Especially the end. Was that the end? I need more…I want to know what happens next!
The whole story about Avery and Dominic was great. I loved both books! The suspense, the mystery, the love...all mixed up in this unbelievable romance story. This is my favourite love story ever. It shows what true soul mates are. Highly recommended to all fans of contemporary romance and mystery.

**** I READ THESE TOGETHER SO I REVIEWED THEM AS ONE ****
Shattered Hearts is broken into two parts with Avery being novella one and told from her POV and Dominic is novella two and told from his. Avery and Dominic are soulmates and very much in love despite the odds against them. Dominic was from the wrong side of the tracks and Avery had to make the choice of her family or the man she loves. Together they have a beautiful life until something tears it apart.
This is one of those reviews that are difficult to write because while there are some things that I really liked about the story there are also some that I really didn't. However, detailing these things would be spoilers so I'm going to tread lightly.
The sweeping and all-consuming romance between Avery and Dominic is beautifully depicted. Their interactions showcase two people who are meant for each other. Avery is strong-willed, smart, an easy match for her over-the-top alpha husband. She is the balance in his life, the one who keeps him on an even keel. Dominic is a doting husband who can't quite believe that the woman who loves him is the one he deserves. He carries his past like an albatross, ever weighing him down.
The first part of the duet is almost exclusively Avery and Dominic's relationship with each other and with the handful of friends they share. There are small snippets of the story's conflict scattered here and there but nothing that I could point to and anticipate what was to come. There is a lot of time spent the couple's life and what it took for them to build it. It is not until the last three chapters that actions outside of the couple come into play, leaving a cliffhanger ending to the first book.
The second book opens a long while later. I understand why the author needed to do this as there are factors that needed to fit, but the time span rankled. Dominic's decisions rankled. It's hard to explain in a review why because in doing so it would reveal major plot points, which I loathe to do. There is a lot more of the conflict action in this second book, some of which, I feel, should have been explored more in book one or the author should have made this one complete book versus two.
Overall, it's a good read. Avery and Dominic are solid characters and the premise of the story is interesting.
Dominic’s POV is the second book in the Shattered Love duet, and you absolutely have to read the first one, Avery’s book first. It’s imperative.
And as much as the writing was almost a clinical story narration at times, I highly recommend that you stick with it because it’s not until you reach the end of the duet that you’ll understand the writing style, and you’ll need to give it some thought to fully understand it. It’s an amazing story with hits coming from all directions. The twists and turns just keep coming at me and my heart broke for these characters. There is so much hurt.
The timeline grabbed me by the throat, and I’ve always struggled in every book that I’ve read, where this has been the case, but, let me tell you, this book, and the next, just won’t work without it. Natalie Hill has taken a risk in alienating readers like myself, but, it has paid off. Stick with it people, and you won’t be disappointed.
The secondary characters are an absolutely integral part of this book, more so I could ever have given them credit for.
While this is a beautiful completion to Dominic and Avery’s story, it doesn’t end there. I absolutely loved Avery’s best friend, Cecile who had been with her family right through this heart-breaking story. In the next book, she needs to step back into her past, and it’s darker than she ever hinted it. This will be her story and I can’t wait for it.
Highly recommended romance with an extra large helping of suspense and redemption. 4.5 Stars.
I can finally take a breath and yeah I had to step away for a minute with all of the revelations and man there are plenty. I had to wrap my head around it all and the tease into the next book which is all about Brax and Cecilia. The author knocked me for a loop with all of the revelations and where the story went. It starts up 20 years later as we find out what Dom has been up to and it isn't pretty. His darkness is his guide as he pummels the competition to find Avery's killer. His new partner is up to the task and as the walls come stumbling down and he finally gets his answers. It's a brutal slap and betrayal of the worst kind when he gets all of his answers. But it doesn't stop there.
Well this author has joined the list of authors I have a love/hate relationship with. The characters wrapped themselves so deeply in my heart I found myself struggling to keep the emotions in place so I could finish the story. Every disruption was met with a stern do not interrupt me glare for any second that took me away. It's an action packed read that has you glancing around for answers in every corner. This new author paid attention to the little details and gave you nuggets along the way that will have you shouting I knew it when it's finally revealed. It's well played and perfectly orchestrated. While Dom and Avery's story does get resolved, Cecilia and Brax is unraveling. The secrets she held are no longer secrets because for him she will risk it all and I for one can't wait.
What a wonderful conclusion to this mesmerizing tale, as soon as I cracked the cover I was drawn right back into the lives of these characters, and instantly addicted all over again. I don't think anything could have prepared me for what I found here, the ending had my jaw on the floor, and my heart swimming in feels!!
There isn't a whole lot that I can say, without giving too much of the story away, so I will just say this... the words continued to be intense and heartbreaking, and the story line was suspenseful and action packed. It has been sometime since I have had a story level me the way this one did, just when I thought I had a handle on things, I'd be hit with another unexpected blow, wow what a story! This one had my emotions running high, and my heart feeling like it was in a vise, which is my book is the best kind of story! Highly recommend this duet, what you find between the pages is certain to leave you moved!
This one is the second one in the series. This one is Dominic's version years after the first book in the series... He is after the one that took away his wife. Little does he know that his little girl is all grown up and stubborn and head strong like her mother. This one threw me for a loop. There were so many twists turns and shocking moments in this one that I didn't see coming. Just wow. I had to take a minute several times and stop reading to take a breathe to make sure I had just read what I did. Natalie did an amazing job writing this one. She grips you from the beginning with Dominic and pulls you in even more with Juliet. I absolutely loved this one. Again a little upset because the ending does leave me hanging. A must have the next one. I have to know what is going on happen with everyone involved in this storyline. But overall this series is a must read. I absolutely loved Avery , Dominic and Juliet and cant wait to get more from them.
After reading Avery my expectations was high for this read. I was hoping the author wasn’t gonna re tell Averys story in Dominic’s words so I was really excited that the story moved on and we got more of the story.
I know I say I don’t like retelling the story but in this instance I’m certainly saying nothing. This book had me gasping, shouting at my kindle at a football tournament and then nearly throwing my kindle. Usually I wanna read in one sitting but yesterday was so busy yet I didn’t want to put the story don. These characters got under my skin so much.
After calming down this story went the correct way. If I had have written my review straight away my review may be completely different (in that I’d have ranted but still given five stars)
I seriously can’t wait to read more of this series. Highly recommend these two stories.
Dominic is the second book in the series and is set years into the future from where Avery ended and this works brilliantly!!
After the heartbreaking ending of book one i wasnt sure what to expect but wow what you get is fantastic.!!!!! Dominic is a man on a mission, hell bent on finding those responsible and seeking revenge!!! With no care in the world only a promise to Juliet for a safe future Dominic has spent the last 20 yrs trying but only coming up with dead end after dead end Until ........... The puzzle pieces start falling into place and betrayal is the only thing you can see!!!!
I absolutely loved this book both of these books have been like finding hidden gems dominic is a brilliant continuation from avery with twists and turns you will never see coming and plenty of " no way " moments to keep you on your toes i cannot wait for cece !!!!

I absolutely love a strong male character and I LOVE a man's POV.
Dominic did not disappoint me. He was a devoted man who lived and breathed his wife. Everything about him revolved around Avery and vice versa. I was completely immersed in the story as we got a lot of unraveling in this 2nd book.
The premise of the story line was addicting. This duet could have definitely been just one book but either way, I enjoyed both of them immensely.
**Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**
“Demons swirled in her eyes, a darkness that was never there before now haunted her.”
A few potential gems quote wise, in serious need of hard editing to remove fluff.
A little better than the first half of the duet, however this feels cut short. The idea Cecelia needs a novella could have been tied up easily in this one. It doesn’t distinguish between two separate characters, too many potential tangents are thrown in.
Predictable storyline. Still told. Hoping the author falls into a better pace in future.
Holy crap - hold onto your hats - it's going to get bumpy!! All I can say is I never saw the ending coming. This story picks up 20 years after the first and Dominic has been consumed with pain and torture. When a surprising partner comes into play this story had so many twists and zingers that at times I had to put it down and walk away. The ending will leave you breathless!! 5 Stars are not enough.
I'm so glad the duet was released together so that I didn't have to wait to find out answers to some of the many burning questions that book 1 left you with. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the book. You won't believe what's in this book, you might think you have a grasp of things, believe me there is so much more to it. Look forward to seeing what happens next after that ending.
All I’m going to say is buckle up and prepare yourself for one hell of ride....After Avery’s story, which I do recommend you read first, I couldn’t wait to dive into Dominic’s. Even if I was a little apprehensive of what was going to happen next. I was just so invested in these characters I NEEDED to know what happens next...
I’m in awe of this new authors writing abilities. The plot twists completely blew my mind!
Questions will be answered, maybe not all questions? You definitely won’t see any of it coming. A fantastic ending to this amazing duet.
I liked this book far better than the first one. It was action packed, easy to read and answered some of my questions. I was surprised by a couple of developments but also called a few of them before they were revealed in the story. However, I still feel like there is more to the story so I will be patiently waiting to read the next book.
5* I wasn't sure my heart could take this book after the powerful first book "Avery". The love between Dominic and Avery is the love we all search for and some are lucky enough to find it. The emotions, the suspense this book had it all. I loved how Dominic wanted to protect Juliet and was desperate to get answers. It's a definite must read. I really can't wait to read Cece's story
Dominic and Avery GAH! I love them! This is part two in the Shattered Love Duet & I could not put it down! You get some answers to my many questions...but just when you think you've got it figured out...well you definitely don't! And now I have way more questions because THAT ENDING!! I cannot wait to find out what happens ❤️
wow this one will blow you away reading it! he is out seeking his revenge for the people that took everything from him. there are so many secrets and a few surprises you must read to find out what happens.
This is the second and concluding part of this intense duet. This is an amazing story which is dark, intense, heartbreaking, and with secrets, revenge, twists, suspense, and action throughout. I cannot wait to read more from this gifted author, and recommend for all.
Wow so good some twists and turns I thought this would be the same as the first but no I still loved it and definitely recommend reading them both plus I’m sure there is more coming from this author. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
This is the second part in a duet. I am unsure I would call it a duet as it didn't feel finished at the end. I do love the twists and turns in this book. Overall a good job and I look forward to what comes next.
A shocking and heart-wrenching page turner about revenge, love, family and life changing secrets. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and had my gasping when huge secrets are revealed. What a great end to Avery and Dominic’s story!
Talking about a story that takes you to hell and back. I love Dominic he is such a loyal one. He is like a dog with a bone he never gives up until he gets what he wants but sometimes it's not always what you think it should be. I loved this book and can't wait for Cece's story.
I though book 1 was intense, book 2 got in my and heart. My heart broke for Dominic. So many emotions but the love they share is rare! I highly recommend this duet!
Gah! Omg this book twisted me up. My heart goes out to Dominic. He is so broken and the darkness that consumes his it palpable. Such an amazing book to follow book 1. I need more though!
