description I'll admit right up front I went into this one without the same level of excitement as I did with book two. However, I signed up because I loved this author's writing and loved the first two books. I had hoped with this being the third book (featuring this couple), in addition to all the other stuff going down with the club, we would be spared the extra drama caused by other women that got tiresome halfway through book two. Alas, that was not the case, and it really took away from my enjoyment, and I found it completely unnecessary plotwise.

description

Unfortunately, my tastes have changed a lot since I read book one and two. I am just not a fan of stories featuring one couple being drug out over several books anymore, and this one felt just that drug out. Like the author didn't have enough actual plot to fill a third full-length book. So instead she just added a bunch of needless drama, 1001 pointless flashbacks, and an uninspiring third POV.

I also have ZERO patience for pointless other women drama. And like I said, this one had an over abundance of your typical cliché type of OW drama. From Peggy, the club whore who and who for some reason was still around when she should have been kicked out the first time she caused issues. Then we had Melissa with the oh so original plot twist. If that wasn't enough we then get a random he was hard for at 67% and thinks to himself "She had plump lips, which could be used in my favor." and had Tess not intervened I am guessing he would have dropped his pants for her, and the <-- Just for the record I don't THINK he did, but as I said, it is never made 100% clear he didn't either. Which annoyed me because it needed to be made clear because I finished this book not really believing 100% in Trigger's ability to stay faithful. It was seriously all so unnecessary and eye-rolling to me.

description

If I set those issues aside, the rest of the book was OK. Obviously, it was my least favorite of the three, but I was still connected enough with the "mole" plot and whatnot to stay engaged. I found the pace kind of dragged in parts. It also didn't have the same energy as the first two had. However, the secondary characters remained intriguing. Denton and Fin were adorable, and Tess was BADASS. Last, it was all wrapped up in a satisfactory, but somewhat lackluster ending considering all the buildup with the mole, Allen, and whatnot through three entire books.

description

So yea, a bit of a mixed bag I guess with this one. The other women drama just felt like filler to drag out the story and create more unneeded drama. There was already enough drama with the mole storyline that would have carried the story forward all on its own. The OW stuff could have been dropped with no effect on the overall plot at all. After two books I was expecting this couple to be more solid and be a team working to expose the mole. All the relationship drama (not to mention all of Triggers hot and cold weird ass moods) took away from the overall story and slowed the pace. Maybe it is my mood today, or as I said above my tastes have changed, whatever it is I am sure I will be in the minority, and that is fine. So please do read other reviews before deciding on whether to read this one or not. description

Unleashed-Banner-BT

So ive been mulling this one over for a few days before I put pen to paper.
Unleashed the final book in the Devils Reach series is one I have been waiting with bated breath for especially with how we left things previously and the identity of the mole finally revealed and as I would expect this was excellently written full of the usual twists and turns with murder and mayhem throughout.
This particular series definitely doesn't pull its punches in regards to its content with gives a very realistic flavour to the whole story.
I reread both Trigger and Demons to prepare for this as I wanted to experience the whole tale as a full entire narrative and I do think this really helped me in terms of my enjoyment of unleashed.
So my issue of why I was ping-ponging in my eventual rating is I didn't quite enjoy Unleashed as much as its predecessor's.
This had a few things that didn't quite work for me: well Two mainly I wasn't a fan of all the OW drama: even if that is all it was unnecessary fluff: I thought we had maybe got to a point where we could cast off all that unwelcome showmanship and just cut to the chase.
second Triggers mood here was off the charts: I mean the man was already certifiably psychotic did we need to add an extra element of insanity into the whole equation.
But besides them grumbles This is still the darn best MC series I have read and for the reason alone I have to give it its due.
So I am going to go with a five on rating as despite my bugbears here: I can't in all conscience rate it any lower: I just enjoyed the story too much and this is so much better than others of a similar genre ive rated a four.
I voluntary reviewed an Arc of Unleashed (Devil's Reach, #3).
All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

It’s safe to say I’ve found this series addictive. I’ve had a few issues (mainly Tess) but never once did I consider not continuing with this but...

The flashbacks bothered me more here. It just felt like too many for the book.

And the whole Savannah thing confused me. I was torn between it being a blatant push for another book. Or a clever link to help Tess out. As soon as I realised it was a series by this author I flicked over to Goodreads to check it out. I’ll admit I was intrigued and considering making it my next read. But all my friends that have read it have 2 or 3 stared it so I’m not going to bother.

Also I’m not sure about the whole Zay thing. I didn’t want to make this a spoiler review because I personally can’t resist reading them. So I try not to put temptation in your path. But I can’t do it any other way so...

Despite my moaning this has been a riveting series. It’s not one I’ll forget in a hurry but I’m just not sure it all worked as well as it should have in the end.

The Devil's Unleashed!

What a RIDE! How do you describe a book that left you screaming OMG in every chapter?
Mind blowing, Epic, Shocking?
Nope!
For me it was Earth Shattering!
I'm sure you may say "Really", Earth Shattering?!?!
Well for me, it was!
I've followed J.L.Drake from day one.
And Drake keeps getting better and better with every book.

Drake as an amazing ability to give you Characters with such depth and emotion, that you can't help but become immersed into the story as if you are really in the book. And that is what keeps me coming back for more!

With Unleashed, you finally will find out if all of those strings that Drake left dangling in Trigger and Demons will be pulled into a giant bow or a giant web.
Drake is famous for the unexpected, so the surprises and OMG moments will make you say...."Did that really happen!"

Unleashed is a thrill ride, hands down and coming from someone who had only read 2 MC series prior to the Devil's Reach Series, I'm beyond impressed with how raw and realistic Drake portrays the story of Trigger, Tess and the Devil's Reach MC Club.

It's safe to say that I'm all in at 5 stars & wouldn't be apposed to #pushforfour!

The Devil's Reach MC is ready and waiting to patch you in! All you have to do is Flip The Switch!

Unleashed will be the best book of 2018!!
WOW!! Just WOW!! I honestly don't know where to begin!! J.L Drake has blown it out of the water with Unleashed!! This is the 3rd (and possibly the last BOO!!) Book in her Devil's Reach MC triology!!
I LOVED Unleashed I actually have loved the whole triology!!
I am not leaving any spoilers because I truly believe you need to read it for yourself!! I highly recommend you read the series in order as they are all linked together and to understand you need to start at the beginning the backstory and the characters are weaved into each book!!
Trigger and Tess are finally reunited but with them it's never easy!! You finally find out who the moles are along with some more twists and turns that you won't see coming!! If it was possible to give a book 10 stars this would definitely be the book that earned it!! Is the mole who you think it is?? Does Tess get away?? Does Trigger, Brick and Rail get out of prison?? Does Alan get what he deserves?? And do Trigger and Tess get thier Happily Ever After?? You will need to read the book to find out!! Definitely one of the best books of the year!!

Unleashed is the final book in the Devil's Reach Trilogy. While I found the first 70% awesome I must admit the last 30% was a little shaky for me. Although I loved Tess and her badass ways I found her again to be frustratingly reckless. I didn't like how she decided to meet with her mother without telling anyone and if not for Trigger she would have been very sorry. Also I wish she was stronger around Trigger after Gus. She knows what he's like and I felt she turned into herself just as much as he did. I'm still unsure of the twist with Trigger's mom and Zay. The ending was cheesy but I didn't mind since I love an HEA. Overall Devil's Reach was an awesome Trilogy and I look forward to reading the other series by this author.

(Spoilers for Trigger and Demons inside)

Prepare yourself for a HUGE book hangover with this read!

We knew from book one that the alpha male Trigger had met his match when Tess walked into Helmond's bar... We know there's a mole and a Father making life difficult for the Devil's Reach crew. As the MC club tries to get out of the hold of a bad drug deal, the leaders are in jail and Tess has been taken.

The third and final :'( book in the Devil's Reach Trilogy does exactly what the title says - everything gets Unleashed.

Throughout most of Unleashed you're on the edge of your seat wondering if anything is going to be alright ever again and who's going to survive until tomorrow. Every victory seems to come with solemn hurt within the club.

This book is an amazing roller coaster that does complete justice to the not so traditional love story between Trigger and Tess. All the reader can do is sit down and hold on!

This is a MUST read for 2018!

Someone call Kurt Sutter... the Devil’s Reach Crew has arrived and they’re taking over.

UNLEASHED is the 3rd book of the Devil’s Reach trilogy and was well worth waiting for. I had a book hangover from the time I read DEMONS, the 2nd book, last March and was left unfulfilled by anything else I tried to pick up. J.L. Drake weaves such amazing depth into her characters and story lines. Her imagery is vividly detailed and so clear, you feel like you are there in the story.

Trigger and Tess are not your typical H and h. They find love in each other that neither thought could ever be found. Brick and Minnie bring balance to their lives. Rail makes you laugh out loud over and over while Gus reminds us all of the pure goodness even in the most evil places.

But don’t be fooled...the villains are the most complex and twisted individuals of the book. I thought I had seen some things but this...this is a whole new level of evil I could never imagine in my worst nightmares.

My heart raced with every turn of the page and I didn’t know if I could make it to the end of the book. 22 Chapters of laugh out loud, agonizing, tear filled, scream worthy moments that spun your head so fast you didn’t know how it could possibly end with an HEA.

I don’t know how she does it but J.L. Drake is amazing. If you’re looking for a gritty romance that has true depth, this is it.

I hate to say this as I've genuinely loved this series, but the first half of this book was a hot mess.

I just could not keep up with all the characters - at all. In the first few chapters there are so many people referenced that it was too much. I might expect this if I had read the second book last year but it’s only been a couple of weeks…

I found Savannah and that crowd particularly confusing to be honest. Who are they? I thought that they were characters in a romance book that Tess was reading and Trigger’s friend happened to know them. To be honest, in the last book they confused me and I didn’t really understand them, but I didn’t realise they were so pivotal to this one.

I also wasn’t keen on the constant flash backs. The previous books had limited flash backs but this book seemed to constantly flick between random time periods (some being years prior and some being twenty four hours prior) so it was hard to understand.

Gahhhhh, I might just go back to book two and re read parts as looking through the reviews I seem to be the only one who struggled!

I will say that the second half of the book, where Trigger and Tess were reunited, flowed so much better and I enjoyed the story again.

Despite being a little disappointed in this one I adore Trigger and Tess and have really enjoyed their story.

WOW! just WOW! I was speechless when I finished the book - I truly needed a minute or two to compose myself. This was a book that we needed to wind up all the loose ends, Jodi did a wonderful job yet again; holy cow what a roller coaster ride she took us on.

Not giving any spoilers away - you'll have to read on your own, but you won't be disappointed!

Trigger and Tess's story continues, after book 2 "Demons" Trigger goes to jail, and Trigger's father, Allen, has kidnapped Tess & Gus, with help from that turncoat Jace. The mole is out there and only Trigger knows who he is - he will get his. Gus's cancer is expanded upon. Yup that nasty Peggy is still around. We are treated again to a visit with Tess's mom Felicia - ewww! You will be surprised by what this book has in store for you. The ins and outs of the MC and the contributing players of the book are woven brilliantly in this book, including Fin and Denton and their love for Trigger and Tess.

You've got to read this third book in the series - so worth it - you wouldn't in your wildest dreams believe what this author has in store for you (dark and twisted) - but when you do read it - you'll slap your forehead and say to yourself "of course!!!"

3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars! This book was highly anticipated, but read more like just “meh” for me. I expected more than we got. This felt too rushed with unnecessary situations added for no real reason. I didn’t think we needed Allen’s POV, unless it was for some type of anticlimactic situation and it wasn’t. Sorry, just meh for me.

Oh lord what can I say without giving too much away? Unleashed is everything I was hoping it would be an more. Jodi did not disappoint, I was sucked in from the very first words till the end. It's a roller coaster of emotions and twists and turns that seem like they may never end. This is defiantly the ending Devils Reach deserved and then some, Trigger and Tess will forever be my favorite MC couple.

In typical J.L. fashion this book is a page-turner. It's an emotional rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. There were a couple of times I had to set it down for a few in order to get my emotions back under control. Yes, the characters in this are twisted. It's dark, it's gritty, and it's brutal. But you will come to love the monsters and question your idea of what a monster might be. I highly recommend this for anyone, but before you read this one, you should read the first two. The series could end here, and I would be okay with that... I would love a 4th

What a rush!!

This book was really a decent read with a lot of drama and violence and all that good stuff that keeps your adrenaline pumping as you turn the pages.

It's so none stop that you wonder how these people can actually function when they go from one violent episode to another in a matter of days.

Since it's a Biker MC story there's the ever presence of OW drama, but it's kept to a minimum.

The heroine becomes more and more bold as the books evolve. I love her badassness but also her resolve to not be a doormat the the hero's BS. Instead of being the kind of heroine of tames the hero's demons, she embraces them. And I found that refreshing.

All previous drama's come to a really nice conclusion in this final installment. Only peeve is the unsafe sex. Dude was a manwhore and heroine, for all her toughness, never made him use a condom. Its completely overlooked.

It really was a thrill to read!!

Wow, what a trilogy! This book ends with a bang, tons of bloodshed, and just a little bit of sappy romance. I loved reading Tess and Trigger’s violent love story unfold.
All the subplots are tied up quite nicely (although, maybe using the word “severed” is more accurate given the gory goodness). There are a few heart-wrenching moments, as the lives lost aren’t all on the enemies’ side, which made me shed a few tears. 5 stars!

Holy freaking roller coaster Batman! Let me take a second and pick my jaw up off the floor.

Unleashed is the third installment of The Devils Reach series by JL Drake and let me say this now, it's the best one yet. You get all your questions answered from the first two books and then some. I laughed, I cried and I was pissed off a lot but in the end, you'll be thankful for these moments. It's a true testament of a great author when they can make you literally want to slap them at some point while reading their book. There is just so much MORE in this book. More heartache, more pain but also more love and character building. This book will keep you on your toes and up all night because you just can't..put..it..down.

Just when I think she can't get any better than she already is, she blows it completely out of the park. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.

WOW going in on the third book in the devils reach series was bitter sweet because it was it was the end I couldn't wait to read and hopefully we get to see more of these interesting characters in the future . So did not see some of the things coming that really tore my heart out we do get some questions answered and a little mind blowing parts that were just WWWWOOOOOWWWWW . After the way the last two ended in such cliffhangers that made me hate love my kindle , I just couldn't wait to dig into this and see what the character would be faced with. I can't wait to read more by this incredibly talented author that just draws you into everything that goes on with every character and story line . OH MY GODDESS THOUGH the chemistry and fire between Trigger and Tess is off the charts and to see how much they both have grown through out the series just WOW . One click this series as soon as possible you don't want to miss it .

Tess has gone through hell so far in this series and she has always come out on top,  now the mole helps her escape and gives her a clue on how to help Trigger and the MC , she also has plans for her so called mother .
Tess wants her man and his brothers in her life at home where they belong.
Trigger is sitting in prison with his brothers waiting for his way out not realizing his woman is safe finally , and when he gets out he flips only to have a hard time coming back , luckily he has Tess and his brothers to help him.

Holy Moly what a ride, Unleashed had my heart thumping in my chest as the intense thrills continued none stop through out this rollercoaster of a ride with dark and often brutal action, gritty dialogue and hot loving.
The continuation of the journey started in books 1&2 for Trigger & Tess, the completion is told in 3 and the authors terrific writing will keep you guessing. It’s full of suspense, tension and heartache, a definitely a page turner and hard to put down once started.
I enjoyed it immensely and highly recommend it!

This book had my anxiety up from the start. It was a whirlwind of emotions and I could not stop reading.
Tess is a bad*** chick. Trigger is.. well, Trigger. Haha! I didn't think I could love them more than I already did.
I wanted to throw my kindle at times, but instead just held on tighter. I laughed, I cried, I cussed at some of the characters. I had my mind blown with some of the things I learned. And I didn't want the ride to end! I see a definite reread in my future. <3

Wow, wow, wow. Unleashed by JL Drake is the third book in her Devil's Reach series and not a standalone. Trigger and Tess' story continues and you must read Demon first.
Tess is under the watch of the Devil's Reach MC when she gets kidnapped by Trigger's father. Trigger himself is in prison and can't do much except survive.

When I read Demon, I thought omg what a vicious bunch of people, but Trigger crowns Demon. There's more of everything. More danger, more violence, more deaths, more darkness. Because Trigger IS a dark read and not for the faint of heart. A read full of twists and unexpected turns.
I loved the story and the characters and give 4,5 dark stars.

5 unleashing the demons stars!

What a journey Trigger and Tess took us into. Devil's Reach was a story full of darkness, betrayal, angst and so many twists and surprises but among all the chaos and the darkness that surrounded Tess and Trigger's pasts there was some light that forced itself into their future and made it blindly bright.

All I can say is WOW!! This book left me with a hangover like no other. JL Drake has done an amazing job at finishing out the roller coaster Trilogy that is the Devils Reach. I laughed I cried I wanted to throw my book across the room. In the world of MC Romance the unconventional love between Tess and Trigger, is a love story for the ages two people who are so dark and twisted, they both feel they don't deserve to be loved. But through their trials and the determination to not let life bring them down they manage to navigate everything life threw at them. With support from Brick and Minnie and the never ending love that Gus has for them they're destined for their HEA.
