Cassie Howell is a recovering compulsive liar, is on permanent grounding by her parents, has a boyfriend who's a vampire, and has just gotten into a car wreck in said boyfriend's limo while she was supposed to be at home. Whoops. How could things get worse? Well, she could get dragged into the magical land of faerie, where nobody is who they seem, and where everybody has a lie to tell. Now Cassie is trapped by court intrigue in a land where liars reign so supreme they might just make her look like an amateur at lying. What's a girl to do when everyone around you is so busy telling their own lies that nobody seems to know what the truth even is? And how can Cassie possibly get home?

Well. This one's a bit different from its predecessors, though that is not a bad thing, you understand.
This volume brings a much wider world building to the overall arc, as well as some new potential allies.
We also see more of our heroine's underlying core beliefs in this story. And whilst she still has episodes of selfishness which gave me pause, this is nevertheless an essential volume - not only for Cassie's ongoing development, but that of the overall story arc.
I do hope she's not going to throw it all away...

Inside this story of vampires and vampire hunters, this book is a story within a story. Focusing on Lockwood, who he is and his back story. Tho it is light on vampire action it is still jam packed with fantasy lore and animals. Agian, little to no graphic gore or bad language. Well paced and believable plot points and reasons things hapen.given the world's it is set. A worthy addition to this series of books. 10 out of 10
Different setting for the latest in this series. Loved the dynamics in this book and the voyage of self discovery for Cassie. Also great to find out so much more about Lockwood. It ends with what looks set to be a turning point for Cassie so moving forward, I'm curious as to how this could possibly affect circumstances. Love this series!
Wow this book was magical, quite literally! Loved that our very own liar Cassie got whisked away to a whole new magical world, her humour and whit intact. Beautifully written and really enjoyed getting to know more about Lockwood and his past. Can’t wait to see what trouble awaits Cassie in the next book. Brilliant series and a definite must read.
I have yo say, when I first started to read the first book, my expectations was not very high. But now I just finished book 4 . I can hardly wait to get into book 5. Robert J. Cane, Is a master story teller. It is very much a great book series, and that is to say that all his book series are something anyone should read. Be ready to be ensnared.
I have been enjoying this series until this book. If you are a person that enjoys fantasy type fiction, you might be a fan. For me this read was veritable torture, and I must admit I skipped past several pages. Looking forward to the next in the series... Hopefully not faerie focused.
Best of the series yet. The internal struggles of a 17 year old seemed spot on (having raised two daughters myself). But the added stress of the paranormal just blew those up immensely. Entertaining and fun read. Definitely going to be getting the next one.
These books keep me looking forward to the next one. So many twists and turns. I am a Christian, but feel comfortable reading this series. No problem with bad language and sex scenes !like so many other books. Thanks for that.
I found this book interesting, and it's nice to know what Lockwood is and understand the silver blood. As for Cassie and Mill, it's a great story. I can't wait to see what happens next with them.
