The Pepper family is back in their second adventure as Maria tries out to be the school mascot Pimento Olive. Her crazy family embarrasses her so much she takes up the new kid in school’s advice to do what he did and divorce them and come live with him and his butler. For a while this is heaven, but she quickly comes to realize that her wacky relations are what makes her her and she needs them as much as they need her.

This continuation of The Pepper Party series will be of interest to readers of “Wimpy Kid” like books. It has a lot of gross out humor and an over the top plot, but it will appeal to readers in grades 3-5. The review edition was paperback and this would make it an affordable inclusion in a popular interest collection for school or public libraries.

I would recommend this book for purchase if you need to collect more high interest books for your library.

122 pgs. I read 2 chapters/17 pages and gave up. This was a weird book. The plot was all over the place and it was hard to follow. Skip this one.
