What a wonderful book!! This book really brings the old Irish legend of the Salmon of Knowledge to life. The children in my class loved it. The colours are inviting and vibrant and the illustrations are child friendly. I would highly recommend this book for all ages.
This is a beautifully made book- each time I read it I see something new.
My little girl is just 4 months but we read it at bath time and she already likes to look at the colours and patterns. The length of the book is just perfect for smaller kids too.
Got this as a signed copy from the author at a book signing event and gave it to my girlfriend who is a teacher. She loves using it in her class, the colourful illustrations really bring an old Irish story back to life and the personal note from the author was really appreciated. I can't wait for the next book.
Such a wonderful, well-written book with beautiful, detailed and interesting illustrations. I have used this book in my class with children aged from 4-7 and they absolutely adore it. It has inspired stunning, creative works and stimulating conversations.
This publication brings one of the familiar traditional Irish legends to life and makes it accessible to younger children. The textured layers in the illustrations invite the children to explore the images and at the same time, give the story a new dimension which is not over-laden with wordy text. The font used throughout the book is very unique and compliments the legend.
I was not expecting such surprising illustrations in a children's picture book. Very imaginative and appeals to children of all ages because of the outstanding detail and the intensity of colour.
This is a beautiful retelling of an old Irish legend. The use of texture and colours really make the illustrations come to life. A fantastic book for young and old to enjoy!
