Finnegas, a wise, elderly poet, spends his days fishing for the Salmon of Knowledge. He meets Fionn, a young boy who hopes to become a brave warrior, but who must first find a poet to instruct him. Follow the story of a young boy who sets out to become a warrior but, in an unexpected twist, acquires much more than he had ever expected to gain. • Delve into the rich world of traditional Irish legends and the tale of a young boy, Fionn, who aspires to become a great warrior. • The story is complemented by interesting and creative collage-style illustrations. • Fionn’s tale of gaining knowledge shows readers how good things in life may come unexpectedly.

What a wonderful book!! This book really brings the old Irish legend of the Salmon of Knowledge to life. The children in my class loved it. The colours are inviting and vibrant and the illustrations are child friendly. I would highly recommend this book for all ages.

This is a beautifully made book- each time I read it I see something new.

My little girl is just 4 months but we read it at bath time and she already likes to look at the colours and patterns. The length of the book is just perfect for smaller kids too.

This publication brings one of the familiar traditional Irish legends to life and makes it accessible to younger children. The textured layers in the illustrations invite the children to explore the images and at the same time, give the story a new dimension which is not over-laden with wordy text. The font used throughout the book is very unique and compliments the legend.
