Blood & Secrets by Rose Harper is book Four in The Calvetti Crime Family. This continues the story of Carina and Mateo. I do feel strongly that you need to read the previous books 'Blood and Secrets 1', 'Blood and Secrets 2' and 'Blood and Secrets 3' first.
Blood and Secrets 4 does pick up where we left book three. Carina and Mateo just hours into married life when he goes to see an informant but ends up getting taken. Both working to get back from this position in their lives and seek out the enemies that have make such a move.
This series is a dark romance that has some graphic reading parts but overall I have really enjoyed their story and look forward to then next installment.
Blood and Secrets 4 does pick up where we left book three. Carina and Mateo just hours into married life when he goes to see an informant but ends up getting taken. Both working to get back from this position in their lives and seek out the enemies that have make such a move.

Whoa! What to say? It's getting harder writing about this series because everything is so not what it seems and one hesitates to write too much as to give anything away and spoil it for others. Mateo is abducted for most of this book after the meeting in the last book that was a set up and spends almost the entirety of the book away from Carina. The brat in me wanted to protest that because their relationship is the most fascinating part to me. But Carina? Well, we finally get to see her not being relegated to being the woman of a house full of macho mafia men but the true reap she really is. She will kill, maim, do whatever to have Mateo back safe and sound. And that's exactly what she does. I said in Book 1 that the OW didn't bother me because I felt like she was in for a world of shit and with her appearance in this book, I was damn right. Though she's not completely out of the picture yet, she's as good as dead already. This book is a big hunt for Mateo and in the quest to find him so many secrets come out, previous characters are unveiled for who they really are but through that even more questions arise. Once again, there was a cliffhanger and this one I really didn't see coming. I haven't seen any of them coming but this one definitely took the cake so much so it's hard to stop in between to rate this book because I'm so compelled to jump into the next one and see what comes next.
Definitely a very addicting series and one where I don't feel taken for a ride when each book ends on a WTF?

Each installment gets quicker and quicker to read, there is a cliffhanger, but I'm thinking to next installment is the final one or at least I'm hoping it is, because I feel like it's dragging on and although I love the characters I want them to find their peace. Some new things came to light in this installment and it has me questioning things from the very first installment and going wtf. There might be some triggers for people within the first couple of scenes so I just wanted to put that in here as a forewarning and Dom I fall head over heels for him in each installment and I hope the author has plans for a book for him.

I believe that this is my favorite part of the series so far! I don't know if the final book will change my mind, I way for it expectantly!
In this book we finally see how twisted Carina is. We got teased about her craziness and her bloodthirst in the previous books but didn't really see her in action. Let me tell you that apparently so far she's been holding back but since Mateo is taken she's raining hell on everyone!! She's going batshit crazy and kills everyone in her path; better watch out :-P
New players are introduced and some of the existing characters agendas. I'm curious to see how Rose Harper will wrap up this series. I hope the final book will be more than fifteen chapters because I'm not ready to let Carina and Mateo! I'm definitely reading all the books in order when I get the last one for maximum effect!! I can't wait :-D

Carina reminds the reader that she’s not a woman to be trifled with. And I would not want to make her mad. She’s one bad a** female. Gavino shows the reader how much things have changed since book three – just one more reason not to cheat. You would also miss out on what makes Carina the best at what she does.
Our main characters show us the messier side of their world. So if you’re sensitive about certain things this could be a warning for you. Nothing is too graphic but there’s just enough that your imagination will have no trouble filling in the blanks. One thing this author is very good at is getting your imagination involved that it’s like having this crime family soap opera play out on your mind’s video screen – shivers will go down your spine. This book has a lot of suspense and part of that will depend on which point of view you’re reading at the time.
This may be a short read but with so much going on you wouldn’t think so. Each scene flows nicely from one to the next with nothing there to drag it out. Carina was a good choice for Mateo because they are so similar. This is the book where I truly understand where the title came from. I found this one to be the most emotional so far. And then this author does it to me again. She’s left me hanging on the same cliff I was on with the previous book – my arms are going to start getting tired.

In this book, Carina rises through the ashes like a vengeful phoenix. Mateo is missing and she will do anything and everything to have him returned to her.
Will Carina get to Mateo in time? What devastation will be left in the wake of her awakening?
In this fourth installment into the Blood & Secrets series, we finally see Carina untamed leaving us know doubt as to why this series is so named. Secrets continue to unfold like a rose in bloom while the blood flows like fine wine. It is gruesome and can definitely have triggers.
With that being said, the excitement of finally seeing what they can do had me giddy with anticipation. I wanted to see their alter egos come out to play. We get a no holds barred look into what Carina can do. Let me tell you she completely freaks me out. I was a little disappointed however that Mateo’s dark side is still quite hidden.
The anticipation as always had me excited for what was to come next.
Again, however, I was left disappointed by the advancement of the book. Although I loved the fast-paced action I really don’t like that we only advance minimally in Mateo and Carina’s story.
The ending OMG! What? That came totally out of left field. I did not see that coming!

This is book four in this series and does end in one heck of a cliffhanger. Please be sure to read these books in order or you will be lost. Every book in this series contributes a great deal to the on going storyline.
Book four starts off right where book three left us. With Carina and Mateo now married will Mateo include her more in the decisions that need to be made for themselves and their family? Carina and Mateo are interrupted on their wedding day, when Mateo must go meet with an informant. He refuses to let Carina come with and says he'll be back in a few hours. Well let's just say that all hell breaks loose and Mateo gets abducted and a couple of traitors try to take what they want from Carina before they are supposed to kill her. This story gets more intriguing as I read each book and there are so many twists, lies, betrayals and even a handful of backstabbing douche bags, it makes you go WTF is happening!!! I'm so ready for the next book I can hardly contain myself. All the sick twisted games are being played without a care of who might get hurt. Definitely a must read series for all of us who love the hardcore filthy, dark, dirty romances!!!!

Well all I can say off the top of my head is HOLY CRAP what a series this is. My problems is how to review it without giving anything away for readers that haven’t gotten to part 4 yet. First I’d like to say the author has done an amazing job of keeping this reader pulled into the story from the very start. The storyline is very well written, to the point that scene after scene the intensity, suspense and of course the romance builds with “ on the edge” excitement.
We know who the main characters are, we “Think” we know the good guys from the bad, but do we really? Who is behind the threats, Who is behind the kidnapping? Who can Mateo and Carina really trust? So many unanswered questions, luckily some will be answered in part 4. One thing I will say is Carina is in full Queen mode in part 4 and it’s awesome to see her step up to her rightful place as Mateo’s wife, partner and equal.
Fantastic addition to the series. If you haven’t started these novellas, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. This is a very good, suspenseful Mafia series that you don’t want to miss. Two Thumbs Up.

Whoa !!!
This really kept me at the edge of my seat. I didn't expect that I really would like it - not the cliffhanger though. But really, had my teeth gritting. I couldn't put this down since I began reading it.
Even though I really don't appreciate cliffhangers, this particular series had all my attention since the beginning. And the length of the release of each book is not that long - that I very much appreciate. The very intensity of the plot and the relationships between characters sucked me in. So much adversity, betrayal, suspense and the twists rolled into all the books. And there is one more book to be expected. I think that would be the conclusion to it all. And I can't wait to get a hold of it.
Sorry, no spoilers here. I can only relay so much, that can get you too curious about it. Go grab it. It's worth it!!!

I didn’t think much more could happen to Mateo and Carina, but I am so very wrong! B&S 4 takes the story of these two characters to a whole new level. What is done to Carina is monstrous, but not something that she hasn’t had before. But now we get to see more of the madness that comes when she lets go and embraces her darkness. Mateo himself starts to fracture and break, but he starts to unleash the side of himself that he has kept in check.
There are more secrets that come to light in 4 that I was not expecting, but they just make the story that much more impactful. And some of them are HUGE! I did like the book, but I am glad that the next book is going to be the finale of their story. I want the whole and I want the end! Rose Harper is going to need to pull out all of the stops to top the other books. And I am HOPING that we get to see the true unleashing of rage from Carina and Mateo to show why they should not be crossed!

Carina is the ultimate strong heroine in this ongoing love story with Mateo.
Super fast paced writing style filled with insane violence, blood, gore, and intense passion as opposing forces press hard against everything Mateo and Carina have tried to keep intact.
The author had a way of intensifying the emotion and drama of the main characters that sucked me in to the story. I absolutely hated Camille and her vile psychotic personality. I uncharacteristically waited for the moment where she finally got what she deserved, and I wanted her to suffer.
Carina is actually equally psychotic, but I was totally on her side when she wreaks havoc on Liam and Jake.
Another HUGE cliffy at the end of this book. I don’t know how much more I can handle!!

Man, I've been dying over this series. I hate short books, but I think that Rose Harper knew what she was doing when she wrote all of these books short and released them closer together.
I finished it within a few hours, unable to put it down. I love reading all that is Carina and Mateo's world, watching as they find themselves falling in love with each other while they have to find and put a stop to those that are after their lives.
I love all of the characters in this series. My favorite has to be Dom, though. How could you not love him? He's charming, suave, and looks out for his people. He's the perfect best friend to our main character.
This book ends on yet another cliffhanger, and it's a doozy. I can't wait for book five!

Now Mateo has been taken, and Carina finds herself attacked in the shower by Jake and Liam the Reap comes out to play, and the horror of what she is capable of is there for all to see. More secrets are being uncovered but the one thing they haven't found is who has Mateo, because as long as he is not with Carina, the longer she starts becoming detached and a killing machine. I am in a hot sweat I can't believe where this has ended up, absolutely mind blowing, such creativity on every page can't wait for more.

Blood & Secrets 4 is the latest release in the story following Carina & Mateo by Rose Harper. This mad and dark couple are separated for most of the book however in that time they are fighting for their lives to see each other again, Mateo having been taken by the mole/traitor who at the end of book 3 we find out is Camille. And Carina trying to survive the two men trying to kill her. I felt parts were dragging in this book however moments picked it back up that made me decide to keep reading as well as the massive bombshell that happens right at the end that makes me very intrigued to see what happens in the final instalment of C&M’s story.

Another crazy ride on this wonderful ride. Rose Harper is knocking them out of the park. This series just keeps getting better and better. Now if you haven't read any books in this series you really need to start at the beginning. Beware though this is a binge worthy series and you will be addicted. The twist and turns, holy crap!!! This book is full of surprises that had me on the edge of my seat and picking my jaw up off the ground. This has been my most anticipated series this year so far. I can't wait fo the next!!!

In true Rose style she has delivered us with another seat grippling read. I devoured this book so quickly, I love all the characters but Domino holds a special place, I hope we finally get to see him unleash the monster within.
Some questions are answered but Damn that cliffhanger ending is a killer. Like seriously WTF killer.
I can't wait to see how Rose ends the series with the next and final book.

WTF! Every time I start reading I think this must be the last book because they are so intense and full on, how can the story keep going before it runs out of steam? And then once again, you get totally wrapped up with the storyline and then ANOTHER twist comes!!! I only hope the next book isn’t too long to come out! 😳 wish there was an emoji for nail biting! 😁

Rose had done it again! What I really enjoyed about this book is you see what the brothers think throughout this story. And man the plot twist!!!!!! From actual love to betrayal. I feel like this story keep me on my toes a lot more then the others. Just when you think you have everything figured out BAM! Your on another ride. As I've said before I do not like how short they are but the books do not come out to far apart and the wait is so worth it.

I love the whole danger, thrill, suspense and romance that comes with the mafia romance genre. I can even forgive the cliffhanger just because I really love this series. Blood and Secrets 4 by Rose Harper. This was a great mafia romance with a darkish themed background. Rose is becoming one of my favorite go to authors when I am looking for a good mix of drama, sexy scenes, strong characters, and of course a well deserved HEA. (even when it takes 3 books or more to get there).

A Very Entertaining Story
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. “Blood and Secrets 4” is another great book from Rose Harper. It’s a very enjoyable, well written book. I loved the interesting, engaging storyline and the characters chemistry and interaction, they really npulled me into their story and I loved reading about them. If you are looking for a great read then you want to read this book. I would recommend reading it

Even though I just came into this series with book 4, OMG what a ride. Those who are supposed to be friends are really not, those who aren't, might be?? So many twists and turns, it is good to see a strong female lead with an equally strong male counterpart. Truly they are the king and queen of their story.

A great continuation of where book 3 left off. On Mateo and Carina's wedding day he gets abducted when he had to leave to meet an informant. Carina is tough as nails as she will due anything to get Mateo back. This is a quick dark, dirty romance with betrayals, lies, that if harcore.

This book is so intense with what happens in it.
I couldn't even stop reading it because it was gruesome the way Carina does what she needs to in order to get her king, Mateo back as he belongs to her and no one else.
Camille doesnt stand a chance anymore.
Carina & Mateo are so deadly together and i love it.
Cannot wait for the next one to be released.

When I started reading this story, I couldn't put it down. I read the book in one day.This author is an awesome writer.I cannot wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work.You should definitely read this book.

Great addition to the series
This is book 4 in the series. Carina and Mateo are back. I will not put any spoilers here rest assured more secrets come out and there is no doubt left as to why the series is titled as it is. I cannot wait for the 5th and final book.

I saw the next book will be the end, I don't want it to end. Carina becomes the Reap after being cornered by 2 of Mateos's guards. There is a traitor in the midst. They are closer to finding out who is trying to destroy Mateo.
