I really enjoyed Eden and Simone's story. Simone is from a powerful, billionaire Italian DeSerra Crime family. He is suppose to stay away from Eden. He and his family had destroyed and mulipulated Eden's father by using her as bate. Noble as he is call was a FBI agent that was coming after the DeSerra Crime famly.
Years later Simone runs into Eden at her Garden Store, she is now the owner of Eden's Gardens. Eden doesn't want to have anything to due with Simone. Simone has realized that the sexual chemistry he has always had with Eden needs to be exlpored. Wow this is a very erotic story. Especially when they start having hot descriptive sex. It was NOT Raunchy but it was Erotic.
Simone is a real alpha male. He defies his family to be with Eden. He will even kill for Eden. His loves shines right through. He adores her and he would die for her. Eden adores Simone just as much. These two just are soul mates and it comes through in the storytelling.
There are great secondary characters. A crazy ex wife. Oh she gets her just due!! I was clapping my hands. Then someone has kidnapped Eden. This is the part I liked but and I din't like. I don't like it when females are beaten and kicked. She was NOT raped so that I did like. I just don't like abuse.
The other problem I had was Eden and Simones back story if they were so much in love and she is still fanatizing wishing she had let him take her virgintity. Instead she gave that honor to someone else. The story would have read better if it had been Simone who she had given her virginity too. It would have given them a better connection in the beginning of the book. I had to push through the very beginning because there had been no real physical connetion between them in the past. But boy do that make up for it.
Overall this was a Very Good Read!!

Love the DeSerra brothers!
I actually started this series with Book 4. No need to read in order but this was my third book I read in this series and I really enjoyed it so I recommend to read all of them! These men are passionate alphas trying to regain the hearts of past loves. Niya James is great at writing love scenes and describing the longing within her characters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and can't wait to jump into Marcello and Regime's story!

A suspenseful love story!
I love reading who done it stories and this one did not disappoint. Eden Noble and Simone De Sera broke up years ago because of Simone's sketchy family business. Simone's relationship turned into something he was not expecting to happen. In the process, he broke Eden's heart. Years had past and they both moved on with their lives, or had they. They never really forgot about each other. With their unexpected meeting in Eden's Garden store, Simone was determined not to let her get away again despite the promises he made to his uncle, the Don of the family. Simone kept one crucial detail from Eden and turned out to be his undoing and threw Eden into the path of an unexpected and unknown enemy of her father.
I just knew the ex wife had something to do with the predicament Eden was in. I was shocked to find out that it had nothing to do with the De Sera family. One never knows when an enemy will come back to bite you. But in this case, they found out that revenge is best served as a road paved straight to hell. 3.50 Stars. (BW/WM). Amazon contemporary romance. Italian Mafia. Second change adulterous affair. Eden Noble is a beautiful Black entrepreneur and flower shop owner, she is also the loving daughter of a retired FBI Agent and the ex-girlfriend to the Simone De Serre, nephew to the Don of the notorious De Serre mobster family. A decade or more has passed since Eden learned that her relationship with Simone had been engineered by Simone’s infamous crime syndicated uncle in an attempt to entrap Eden’s father. Following that failed fiasco, Simone’s uncle forbade Simone any contact with Eden and Simone abruptly ended their relationship without explanation; however, Simone continued to monitor Eden’s goings and comings. Ten years later, the two reconnect acknowledge that they loved and still love each other despite how thy began. Initially, none of either of their family members is happy about their refusal to split up; but that all changes after Simone’s estranged wife shows her dark side and Simone issues her an ultimatum that forces her to sign their divorce papers and Simone rescues Eden from the clutches of another enemy of her father. At the end of the day, Simone and Eden are wed and expected to live happily ever after with the blessings of both their families.

Wow this family has cajones for real!
Fresh from helping to save his uncle Mario's outside child and the child's mother, Simone lands in his own past fast becoming his present with a woman he once befriended to compromise her law enforcement father. Simone and Eden had a rough go of trying to get their love life back on track. First his family was displeased because they promised Eden's dad they would keep Simone away from her and second from the wife he had been trying desperately to divorce before he met Eden after they were teenaged boyfriend and girlfriend and third there was the son of one of the men her dad took down as an FBI agent, hell bent on getting his revenge against Eden's dad for locking his dad up. Needless to say Simone, Eden's dad, Simone's family members, the police and even the FBI joined the search for the kidnapped Eden. Pulling all of their resources together the assembled group got to Eden just in time to save her from sudden death either from falling off the side of the mountain she was climbing or by the bad guy's son who was in hot pursuit since Eden got away from him. All in all this was a very good suspenseful thriller that captured and held my attention. Now on to Marcello and Regina's story!!!!!!

Wait...What???
While Eden presented for the first third of the book as a smart, strong black woman, the direction of the book turned. Loved Eden and Simone's reconnect and their passion. But how does she start out so strong then all of a sudden just rolls with someone she knows is super dangerous? The book felt at the end like a lot of parts were played up, but not finished. ××spoilers×× his family was against them, willing to kill him and/or her then they just accept it, no more mention of them??? What happened with Donnel, why the focus if it would be left unresolved? Declaration of love out of nowhere???? Felt like the story got rushed to finish, but didn't make sense in many way at the end with so many loose ends that were started but not completed. Make it make sense

Well Well looks like I just found another gangster family in the De Serra family and its all good! When we get a glimpse of Simone and Eden you think they are as different as night and day until you get them in a scene and its magic.The gives an old fashioned kind of romance with a twist.The alpha male who is Simone is not waiting around to claim his girl Eden it is full steam ahead.The was just a fun read with some sexy,some mystery and a little gangster thrown in to keep you interested.The writer does a really good job with not only a good story but the pace of the story never slows and you don't get a dull moment.If you what to see Simone Says cause a little havoc take trip with him and his lady love Eden.

LOVED, LOVED THIS STORY...
I loved reading Simone and Eden's story. These men when they find that one woman they love, they love them fiercely, and very protective of them. And I love them for that. This was a very good story, with that said I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who enjoy reading a good story about giving love a second chance,it also had a bit of drama in a good way, not that crazy kind. A well written interracial storyline. Eden and Simone knew each other in H.S but betrayal got in the way. They meet as adults, Eden has no trust for Simone but that doesn't stop his pursuit. Can they find love? Can Eden trust him? Characters well developed and realistic. The chemistry is scorching hot. The plot flows well with the story and is filled with drama, distrust and romance. I could not put this book down, I just had to know how things would work out! It is a second chance love story made difficult by betrayal in the past, half truths, a meddeling mob family and a crazy ex-wife! It is a well written story that is easy to follow even with the twists and turns, for once I didn't feel a 100% sure about the outcome even though it says in the review of the book that there is a happy ending, it wasn't obvious what kind of happy ending, and I liked it!

The story of Simone and Eden is one of a lost love. During college they broke up because of their families . Years later Simone unknowingly walks into Eden's flower shop and the feeling bed s they had for each other came rushing back. Then Simone's uncle finds out and told him not to see her anymore. That's when all the fun and action takes place. This is a real good read. I really enjoyed it.

Beautiful
This book will leave you wondering... and on purpose... the storyline itself is just beautiful...and well written.

I'm not usually into Mafia family books but Ms. James makes their part not as important than as what’s going on between this Alpha Male and a woman who is strong on her own without a man and how they come together. The plot is well thought out but rushed in a couple areas. All in all it was a satisfying read.

Very Good
Simone and Eden are a wonderful pair. This story had it all: good chemistry between Eden & Simone (both with strong personalities), a good plot, solid secondary characters and hot sex.
The storyline was engaging and came to an expected conclusion without being trite and sappy. Very good!

This excellent book earned more than 5 from my perspective. To me this was another spin on Romeo and Juliet. To be in love but afraid and take the chance anyways even if it could mean your life. I would recommend this book to anyone over 18 interested in a good read. I received this book as w ARC in exchange for an honest review.I look forward to more from Niya James

Simone was a cocky alpha that did like being told no, except by his father or uncle, heads of their crime family! Eden was stubborn, but was mostly a pushover when it came to Simone! Danger touched their life, it provided the catalyst to them realizing that they had a connection that was worth fighting to keep! 💞

ThiThis is a good story. Simone and Eden found their way back to each other. FaFamily and foe tried to keep them separated but omission of the truth ended it. However, an unfortunate situation amended what was broken and reunited them in the best way.

This book was pretty good it was different from many second chance stories that I have read. The ending was a little strange and didn't make much sense. There was all this buildup with Eden being kidnapped but the ending fell short in my opinion.
