M. Malone is a NYT and USA TODAY bestselling author, a RITA® Award winner, and a member of RWA's Hall of Fame.
She lives with her husband and their two sons in the picturesque mountains of Northern Virginia even though she is afraid of insects, birds, butterflies and other humans.
Since starting her indie publishing journey she has sold over a million books and her titles have hit the NYT and USA Today bestseller lists more than a dozen times. She also holds a Master’s degree in Business from a prestigious college that would no doubt be scandalized at how she’s using her expensive education.
I adored WILD by M. Malone and Nana Malone. Talia Hamilton has always been the shy girl who lived in her big brother’s shadow. Now that she is away at college she plans to let loose. Her first night she has an amazing kiss with an older boy from her high school that did not recognize her, Cage Ward. Cage can’t get the girl he met at the club out of his mind. He’s shocked when he checks in on his best friend’s little sister and discovers his mystery girl. This contemporary romance is suitable for new adult audience. It takes place at NYU.
WILD is a fun and heartwarming read. I loved both Talia and Cage. They are relatable characters that had a lot of depth. They both have their issues and develop throughout the story. They have obstacles and misunderstandings to overcome. They were friends in high school, but nothing would have ever happened then because of Talia’s older brother, Trevor. However, now they are in college, and Trevor isn’t there. WILD is skillfully written and easy to read. It had a cute ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Life's a dance. The steps are forever changing, but we refuse to quit trying. Wild is Cage and Talia's two step. Their road to romance beats a rapid pace. She's pushing, he's pulling and they keep ending up in the same place. From good times, steamy encounters and broken hearts, Malone squared choreographed quite a show. Presentation is everything and these authors and characters leave their mark.
Wild by Nana Malone and M Malone is the story of Talia Hamilton and Cage Ward. Cage is Talia's brother best friend and her longtime crush. Once when she was around 15 years old they kissed but Cage seemed to forget it. Talia has always been in her brother's shadow so when she goes off to college with her best friend she wants to break loose some. Cage has been asked by his best friend to watch over his sister, Talia while she is attending college. But Cage didn't recognized her the wild night she was letting loose and kissed her. Now he is trying to keep a promise to his friend but at the same time his feelings are getting the better of him. Really enjoyed reading their story!! Loved it!
This is another lighter quick read from these two authors. Fun little afternoon read that is a bit steamy and lite on the angst. This installment is friends to lovers with a side of best friends little sister. Talia and Cage were a nice match and I enjoyed the chemistry between them. This ending was rushed and left me feeling like there was no real closure to the story. Although I enjoyed this, I couldn't rate it any higher because of the ending and that it just never left me with anything that would help it stand out against all the other books like this. I just wanted more from it.
I don’t understand how this book has such a high rating, the main character (whom was a previous chubby, glasses wearing teenage girl. In other words ‘ugly’) refers to herself as ‘hot’ now. She was self-absorbed, narcissistic and pretty much followed the H to the university where he was studying. How can someone forget their best friends little sibling?! Clearly the H was self-absorbed too. I have tried to read this authors works a few times now and each time the writing style gets to me. The POV changes sporadically and without warning. You would be reading in the h’s POV and the next paragraph is the H’s. The storyline in each of the books I’ve read is laughable, to the point where I cannot finish the story. I don’t this I will be able or want to read any more from this author. If I could leave no stars, I would.
Sorry if this offends anyone who enjoys this book and author, it’s unfortunately not my cup of tea.
Wild by M. Malone, Nana Malone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really enjoyed Wild this book is a lovely read. Well maybe a more accurate thing to say is that I really enjoyed the characters. OMG as usual these two ladies made this story so praise worthy. I could hardly wait to read what would happen next and see if I would be laughing so hard my stomach muscles hurt! Wild features Talia and Cage. Talia has transferred to NYU to break out of her old shell and have fun but as usual there's a monkey ranch thrown in the mix. So what will she would do next. Cage is a Jock and his goal is to enjoy the single life and stay away from serious relationships. But Cage had no idea what he is getting into when it came to Talia. That is until they kiss now can he get her to doing things his way without comment or question. Yeah, right! But it does provide for a lot of funny situations. But of course It's not all fun and loving though. There's a crazy ex-girlfriend and a big brother too, some violent attacks, romance, great sex and friendships. The secondary characters is really great addition to the story, they help add a lot of enjoyment to the story. All in all, this is a funny and fantastic story. If you are in need of a good laugh and a smile on your face then you will enjoy this book.
Gotta love how strong a friendship is until a promise has to be broken because of a girl , not just any girl but your best friends little sister, I love everything I have read from M.Malone and Nana Malone and each book I read makes me excited for the next book and to see just what these authors have in store for us.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Talia Hamilton has on mission. To have fun in college and for once, break out of her shell. So who does she end up dancing with on her first night clubbing? Cage Ward, the star of all her high school dirty dreams and the only man to ever break her heart. So much for breaking free. Cage Ward should be enjoying the single life. But all it takes is one kiss from a mystery girl on the dance floor and he wants to brand her as his. That is...until he realizes the sexy girl with lips to tempt and a body for sin, is his best friend's little sister. The same girl he just promised to keep his hands, and lips off of. So much for friendship.
I love a good best friends sister/ friends to lovers book and Wild is so much fun to read. Talia has just transferred to NYU from her old college to be with one of her best friends. She is also determined to cut loose and have fun and experience college. She has always lived in the shadow of her very athletic super star brother and use to wear glasses and have her nose in a book. She was quiet and shy and never broke out of that shell much. Now she is in a club on the dance floor with her high school crush who kissed her one night and broke her heart when he ignored her the next day and right this minute he has no idea who she is she has changed so much. Their kiss is explosive and Cage is feeling things he has never felt before. He wants this girl even though he has just broken up with his high school girlfriend, who by the way is a psycho. Your gonna hate her. Cage however receives a call from his best friend and is asked to keep and eye on his sister and to make sure she has fun but not to much fun. He gladly promises to do just that but imagine his surprise when he learns his best friends sister is the girl from the dance floor he had his lips all over the night before. This is the beginning of a journey for these two that I loved reading every second of. Their story is full of passion and want and you throw in a psycho and you just know things are going to get crazy. You do not want to miss Wild. You will be missing out on all the fun in reading this amazing book.
I love reading romances where the heroine comes into her own or at least works towards that goal as she reconnects with the guy who held her younger heart and unknowingly broke it. In Talia and Cage’s story, their connection stems from Cage’s friendship with Talia’s older brother, but when they meet back up when Talia’s a college student at NYU, it’s clear that Cage never really saw Talia for the beautiful and intelligent woman she was/is, which means that if he wants her in all ways possible, he needs to decide if it’s worth potentially losing a friend and Talia needs to figure out if she can come out of her shell with or without Cage by her side.
Wild is a sweet and steamy quick read that will make older readers think back on their college years and either identify with Talia’s shyness and her desire, amidst her fear, to let loose and/or cheer Talia on as she attempts to break out of her shell and go just a little bit wild, enough to prove to herself that she has enough self confidence to go after what and whom she wants; either way, all readers will be eager to find out how things turn out between Talia and Cage and if the fact that Talia’s his best friend’s little sister and she still remembers how he made her feel all those years before is something that they can overcome or if, once again, he’ll break her heart and make her regret giving him a chance.
Because Wild is not a lengthy story, the events of the plot line and the conflicts and complications that Talia and Cage endure occur quickly, and while, for the most part, the speed of the text doesn’t interfere with getting to know the main characters or recognizing the push and pull between them amidst the sexual tension, the resolution felt a bit too rushed and I was left feeling like the characters’ decisions didn’t have the depth of discussion that I wanted so that I could understand everything that went down between Talia and Cage.
Despite the abrupt conclusion, I really enjoyed Talia and Cage’s story, and I’m excited to see what this writing duo has in store for their readers’ next read.
Talia had crush on her brothers best friend for years growing up but nothing ever happened between them. Talia’s over protective big brother Trevor had made the rules about his sister clear years ago and Cage had made sure not to cross any lines. After not seeing him for a few years Talia unexpectedly bumps into Cage on a night out. After sharing a chemistry laden kiss, Cage is left desperate to find the hot girl whose name he didn’t get, having no idea it’s his friends little sister. When Talia’s brother asks Cage to keep an eye on his little sister Cage has no idea that Talia is the woman he can’t get out of his mind. Once he realises who she is he has to make up his mind who he wants more in his life...Talia or best friend Trevor. Talia isn’t going to be won over straight away no matter what Cage decides, she has some issues of her own she needs to deal with (mostly her self confidence) and is determined she’s not just going to roll over for Cage.
This is a quick read that’s full of sexual chemistry, funny moments and plenty of push and pull between Talia and Cage that I really enjoyed. The only thing I wasn’t too keen on was the ending. It felt kind of rushed to me and I would have liked to have seen more, especially Trevor’s reaction (although I’m holding out hope we’ll get that in Trevor’s story Wanton).
I really like friends-to-lovers and best friend's little sister romances!
Talia is Bailey's best friend, who we met at the previous book "Wicked". Talia all through high school lived in her brother's shadow. He was the popular one and she was the awkward one. Cage is her brother's best friend. She always had a crush on him but she was invisible to him. Now Talia is transferred to NYU to be closer to Bailey. Cage is tasked by her brother to look after her since he attends NYU as well. What he doesn't know is that they met the night before at the club where they kissed but he didn't recognise her. The kiss lit a fire between them and Cage is determined to find his mystery girl. Imagine his surprise when he finds out that the mystery girl is Talia, his best friend's little sister.
I really liked the dynamic between Talia and Cage. His ex-girlfriend is a real piece of work, a true psycho. However the way he handled the meet between Talia and his ex was wrong.
The story is kind of short and I wanted to see more. Next we are getting the story of Talia's brother, Trevor. I hope that we get to see Talia and Cage as well :-D
Talia Hamilton transfers to NYC and is determined to enjoy every moment of college. So when Talia bumps into her handsome crush Cage at a dance club and he doesn't recognise her, she kisses him. NYC student Cage Ward kisses a beautiful mystery girl and it feels like being struck by lightning. Mystery girl disappears when Cage went to buy her a drink and he can't stop thinking about her. Cage agrees to keep an eye on his best friend Trevor's little sister Talia and he couldn't be happier when he finds out Talia is mystery girl. Cage has had a thing for Talia forever but he'd shoved his feelings aside because Trevor was very protective of her. Now Cage is going after what he wants but what happens when his crazy ex-girlfriend pops up and refuses to let him go?
M. Malone and Nana Malone deliver a funny, sweet and steamy story that you won't be able to put down
This story was fabulous. I love the way the characters are written and how they get into my head. Having read Wicked, the first book in this series, I'd already met some of the characters in this book so I was already invested in reading more.
Talia and Cage are really hot together, I love when a girl gets her childhood crush! Add in that Cage didn't even recognise Talia when they met again at a nightclub and kissed each other's faces off! That really did add to the fabulous, addicting story. Things don't exactly go smoothly and I had a few moments of hatred for one particular character, but that just makes for compelling reading don't you think? I love to hate someone so much they make your blood boil.
I love this kind of book, the hook that keeps you reading is there from beginning to end. I am loving this series and can't wait for Talia's brother, Trevor's book, Wanton.
Even though this was a quick read for me, it was packed with steamy hot and funny moments. And I loved how Talia and seemed to come into her own and embraced her confidence and realized she was beautiful. I am loving this series and am excited for the next book!! And btw these are stand-alones but I always prefer to read in order! I would definitely recommend this book. - By Tina
Quick little read that's perfect for a lazy afternoon. Talia and Cage will steam up your Kindle in this brothers best friend romance. Watch Talia as she breaks out of her shell and goes a little onn the wild side. An entertaining read with cute characters. I read an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review.
Another sweet and sexy read by the Malone sisters. Everytime I read one they get better and better. The chemistry is off the hook and the story is wonderful. Cage and Talia are a wonderful couple and deserved to be read. ♥️
I really wish that this was longer, so that there was more story to go around, and there was less of a rush to resolution.
That said, what was put on the pages is pretty good. I enjoyed every page. These two never fail to deliver great chemistry from their characters, snappy narrative and good pacing.
Enjoyable, as always.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Loving these lighter, yet still a bit angst-filled reads by M. Malone and Nana Malone! Talia and Cage have history, lost of it, and not all of it is good. When they meet again years later in college, Talia is no longer the shy awkward girl she once was. But she is still off limits to Cage, as his best-friend's little sister. But one look at the woman she has become, can he keeps his hands off her?
The Malone’s did a great job again in this story. I loved the way that the characters are so real, down to earth, and likable. Nana and Minx do a great job with their characters. I always like them and feel as if they are so real.
Talia and Cage are both ready for a new life and to move on from their pasts. The only difference is that they have a past together and their future is not supposed to entail them being together. Cage is Talia’s older brothers best friend and she should be off limits to him. Talia can’t get over the kiss Cage and her shared when she was 15 years old. Cage has always wanted Talia, but he knew that Travis, Talia’s older brother and Cage’s best friend would not like it. Travis has always been over protective of Talia and has asked Cage to keep an eye on her while she is at college where Cage attends.
Cage has no idea that Talia returns his feelings or that she has always harbored a crush on him. He wants Talia and he will not give up until she is his. He shouldn’t want another relationship since he just got out of a three year relationship with someone who always got what she wanted, no matter how she went about it. She’s spoiled and crazy, two very bad things to be combined in one person.
I liked this story and enjoyed the fact that the guy was the one who pursued the girl. Talia was determined that she was not going to go down that road again, but one kiss from Cage and that was thrown out the window.
I give this story a 4 star review. I wished that the story would have continued on with the story of Travis finding out about his little sister and his best friend. Perhaps it will be in the next book, Wanton. I always enjoy reading stories by the Malone’s and look forward to more in the future. This was a quick read, but it was packed with a story.
Talia Hamilton is ready to embrace this next step in life and maybe even dabble in walking on the wild side, now that she is away from her brother's prying overprotective eyes she feels like she can live it up a little, and not have a lecture waiting on her when she gets home. But her first real night of living free and wild hits a little snag when she runs into her brothers best friend and her old high school crush Cage Ward. Seeing him again was unexpected, but him not recognizing her after sharing a heated moment stings a whole heck of a lot... how could he not remember her?
Cage Ward is single and ready to have some fun this year, after years of being tied to one woman, he is ready to explore his options a little, and enjoy not having a plus one. Which lands him on a night out on the town with his buddies, and dancing with a gorgeous, yet slightly familiar woman. They share a heated kiss, one that has him wanting to follow her to the ends of the earth, but once he finally catches up to her again, will he still want another kiss?
Wild is a fun and flirty forbidden romance tale that will have you smiling and swooning throughout; nothing says good reading like a tale that comes with a little angst and a whole lot of chemistry! These two set fire to the pages with their heated glances, smoldering kisses, and feisty banter; it was HOT! HOT! HOT! I thoroughly enjoyed this one, the story line was engaging; the characters were well crafted; and the environment was painted perfectly; nice well rounded and emotional read. I highly recommend this one, the moment you meet these two you won't be able to pry your eyes from the pages!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Wow! I loved this book! Wild is a terrific short read and follows the story of Talia and Cage. Talia is very good friends with Bailey, who we met in Wicked.
Talia has always had a crush on her brother's best friend Cage, ever since she was about 15 years old. But since they shared a drunken kiss many years earlier, and Cage had completely ignored the fact that it ever happened and treated her like she doesn't exist, Talia resigned herself to the fact that she would just have to get over it and get herself out there and move on. And with starting college and moving onto campus, what could be a better reason? The thing she hadn't bargained for was that her brother, Trevor, would ask Cage to keep a close eye on her and to be there for her and to show her around, etc to help her settle in.
Cage has been single for about a month since splitting with his crazy and manipulative ex girlfriend of about 3 years. When Trevor asks him to help out with looking out for Talia, he thinks he can handle it, until feelings that he had suppressed come tumbling back out. He is in love with Talia, she drives him crazy, only she doesn't know it yet. But how are things supposed to work between them when Talia seemingly dislikes him, his crazy ex is still popping up unwanted and not to mention Trevor would kill him if he ever hurt Talia?
This is a fantastic read that sent me on such a rollercoaster of feelings and emotions. With a few unexpected turn of events, it certainly left me gripped. I loved it so much and now I really can't wait to read the next book - I'm so excited! Eeekk!
I freaking loved it! This was a short read but I totally fell in love with Talia and Cage. A definite must read. Wild fits the title because things get a little WILD in this one. 5/5 stars Talia was different three years ago but she was friends with Cage and with a crush that he would never know about. One night Talia made sure he got home after drinking and to her surprise Cage kissed her and it was her dreams come true. Cage's best friend Trevor had the best little sister that he could totally relate to and was good friends with. Then Cage got with Jenna and began distancing himself from Talia, little did he know he broke her heart for reasons he couldn't remember. Three years later Talia and Cage are attending the same school, will they run into each other and will the past be brought to light for the friendship that was ruined? These two characters will keep you on your toes and filled with intrigue as you want to know what happens along the way. M. and Nana great job as usual. You bring it with everything you got and I felt all the emotions, couldn't put it down. Talia is a shy girl that I can totally relate too. She was very lovable and I rooted for her every step of the story. Cage was what we all want but can't have but in our dreams. He had a heart of gold though and he was lovable just the same. Your stories bring the reader in and let them feel the characters emotions and lives. I love you both and enjoy the stories you bring to life. Each one different in it's own way with heart and passion. You two are amongst many of favorites that I look forward to reading. ***Reviewed for Sweet & Spicy Reads, ARC provided in return for an honest review***
I really loved this story, it’s a story of friends to lovers and unbelievably cute.
Talia Hamilton has lived in the shadow of her perfect athletic brother for years and now that she is at college she plans to no longer be the invisible book worm she has been her whole life, it’s time to cut loose. Out for her first night with her best friend Bailey she spots the last person she thought she would see, her brothers best friend and her first love who also happens to be her first ever kiss Cage, it’s clear that he doesn’t recognise her and she takes advantage by kissing him again and disappearing in to the crowd. She’s been hurt by Cage before and has no interest in being broken hearted again it’s a time for a new Talia. Only it would seem fate has other ideas.
Cage Ward has finally ended his toxic relationship after three years of hell and being manipulated he is ready to have some fun at college, that is until he spots the beautiful girl staring at him across the club, they share a dance and after a kiss that knocks his socks off she vanishes. Still thinking of the girl he met in the club the last thing he is expecting when he does his best friend Trevor a favour by checking in on his sister the last thing he is expecting is the girl he kissed to be Talia the girl he thought about more than he should as a teenager is the girl he has been obsessing over from the club. One thing is clear to him though the way he feels about Talia is the real deal and he is going to make sure she knows she belongs to him no matter any of the obstacles in the way.
Wild is definitely the right title for this story. Cage who kissed his best friend (Trevor's) kid sister (she was 15), Talia..who has had a huge crush on him forever. Now in college, Talia transfers to NYU to be close to her best friend Bailey (from Wicked). She's excited to start school here with her bestie, and to get out of her comfort zone and enjoy and experience the college life. Only problem is, her overprotective brother. Another problem, when she and Bailey go out with Hunter, bailey's boyfriend, Talia spots a familiar pair of shoulders that turn into a pair of familiar eyes. CAGE! Their eyes lock, they share a dance, then Talia initiates a kiss that totally floors Cage, leaving him wondering who the beauty was and how he was going to find her! Boy was he surprised!
But Talia is still hurt from the way he treated her after that kiss years ago. Cage, who was really drunk at the time, had no recollection of the kiss, which only fuels her anger, until another kiss brings back the memory and he remembers it all. It was because of his family life back then and the fact that her brother was his best friend. He was also dating a crazy woman who was actually totally insane! I mean bring out the straight jacket. Unfortunately...we never really find out what happens to her in this book. And I really want to see what happens when Trevor finds out about them...and if someone throws Jenna off of a building or something! just kidding..(not really). LOL
This is a wonderful read that will definitely leave you wanting...more! Can't wait for the next book!
Wild was another fun read by the writing duo M. Malone and Nana Malone.
I really, really wanted to give Wild five stars because I did like the story a lot but there were a few little things that got to me. For the first half of the story, it seemed that it was constantly being repeated about how off-limits Talia was and that she was Trevor's little sister. It did taper off, thank goodness, because I felt it was mentioned entirely too much. As the reader, we knew this info from the get go and didn't need to be told in every single chapter. Also, I noticed a couple discrepancies with scenes. For example, Talia had on a blouse then it went to him taking off her t-shirt. Not that it had any major effect on the story, but seems this should've been caught by the authors.
Moving on, I have to say that I liked that Talia was the one calling the shots and not so much Cage. In a lot of stories similar to Wild, the guy would be the one in control and it just seemed that Talia kept the upper hand. Kudos to the authors for giving her this quality. She may have been the younger, sweet little sister, but she gained a notch in the relationship.
Overall, I liked Wild and found it to be one of my favorites by the Malones. It's a familiar trope to write about but with their added touch, Wild was a feel-good story that kept your emotions in tack. Oh, and what a great guy Cage turned out to be!
Sexy and achingly heartfelt with some of the best groveling I've seen in a short story in a long time. A forgotten kiss as youth, an unforgettable kiss as adults, and there's only one of them that can win. As Talia desperately tries to embrace everything that's new in her life, Cage is determined to drag her back to being the mousy, utterly forgettable little sister...or so she thinks. It'll take everything Cage has in him to win the one woman he's always wanted but never let himself believe he could have.
Talia has a bit of a ways to go to fully accepting everything she is. She struggles with acknowledging that she's physically attractive and desirable and I also think she hasn't truly learned to love the shyer, studious side of herself either. By the end of the story she's still not all the way there to loving herself and all her facets, but she's making progress. Especially because Cage is bent on proving to Talia that she's been in his fantasies as well as his heart since they were young. While I do wish there were a bit longer of an ending, one where we could see a little more of their transition into a true couple on a more solid footing, the story worked well since their history was intertwined before we meet them in college. And when Cage screwed up, it was his groveling through actions and thoughtfulness that was beyond perfect and sold me on them together.
Wild sure lives up to its name. A fun and hot brother's best friend romance with a bit of a twist, Cage doesn't recognize Talia when he first sees her on the dance floor. A few years and a few changes makes her look very different. Talia is looking to break out of her good girl image when she transfers to a new university. Seeing Cage on the dance floor and not having him recognize her gives her the chance to steal a kiss and run on him like he did when they were younger. A little pay back that explodes when they kiss into hot chemistry.
After the kiss she planned to fade away hoping to not bump into him. Her brother had other ideas, asking Cage to watch out for his little sister and show her around. Cage had always thought of Talia as more than his best friends little sister, he thought of her like a friend. He never understood what happened in high school that made that friendship fade. So he he agreed hoping to reconnect with an old friend. Imagine his surprise when he showed up at her place and realized Talia and the girl from the dance floor he couldn't get out of his head were actually the same girl.
Wild is a great combo of emotion and past hurt and raw feelings and hot chemistry. I really enjoyed reading it!
I received an advanced readers copy of this book for a honest review.
In this awesome fun, light, passion-filled read we got to explore the world of Cage and Talia. This was a tale of the older brothers best friend and the attraction he had for his mates little sister. Aside for a moment in high school (which Cage does not remember), the pair has kept their feelings to themselves.
After years apart Talia transfers colleges and her brother suggests that Cage shows Talia the ropes in college so she does not get stuck in her books. A night of daring leads to Talia to act on the passion, can Cage convince her that they can be more than a quick fling? You should have a read and find out for your self :)
Expert It wasn’t quite a kiss, just a whisper of lips meeting, really. Bus as I breathed out, she breathed in, and vice versa. it wasn’t long before I started to feel like I might die without her to supply me with air. “What do you want from me?”
“I want what I’ve always wanted. you to make love to me. I used to think about you touching me. Kissing me. Back then, you starred in every one of my fantasies.”
Oh, shit. My hands trembled, and Cage struggled for control. “And what about now?”
