A bad boy, enemies-to-lovers, office, roommate romance.
Aiden is an alphahole and absolutely infuriating.
You're going to effing love him!

I'm Carly.
A nice girl. A nice girl who has recently figured out that nice girls get the shaft. So, I've decided to become Carly 2.0 and say buh-bye Carly 1.0, the doormat.

There's a problem, though. An alphahole is my new roommate and my CEO’s son. He’s also my boss and the alphahole is gunning to ruin me.
Alphahole: A grade-A alpha male asshole.
The epitome? Aiden Carmichael.

Aiden wants to give me the shaft. In multiple ways, if you get my drift.
Good thing the new me has decided to fight back and if push comes to shove, fight dirty.

I'm Aiden. Alphahole.
Or so the chick my father put in my corporate apartment and my department at the office calls me. Whatever. She's got spunk. And a great rack. She tries to come off as a badass, but I see right through the act. If she's gonna tangle with me, she'll be the one to get tied up in knots. It won't be me.
I have no problem fighting and as far as I'm concerned, the dirtier the better.

OMG, this book I bloody loved it like so much.

tumblr_mtr48z7vjA1qhhgs9o2_500

Its one of those stories that instantly reaches in a grab you by the throat and you're unable to shake free until that final curtain.
This was such addictive reading; a slow-burn, room-mates and enemy to lovers rollercoaster that took me through such a kaleidoscope of deep emotions; which I felt from the top of my head down to the very tip of my toes.
I ran the gauntlet from start to finish; leaving the party with a massive book hangover and still wanting more from these fascinating new characters that have sprung forth from this author's vast imagination and Alphahole does a fantastic job leaving the stage splendidly set-up for further future developments.
As an added incentive I am already emotionally attached to a great deal of the individuals portrayed between these pages and will definitely no question be reading anything else set in this particular world; I mean how could I not.
Embarking aboard the aphahole train is an experience in a league all of its own; one you will most certainly enjoy.
It's full of unexpected humour, plenty of action and is also super smoking to boot.
Aiden himself, our resident Alpahole/Hot sauce is such a character.
Even when he is at his worst you can't help but be drawn to his cheeky-boy arrogant persona.
He's one unapologetic Alphahole and I loved watching his metamorphosis from arrogant douche to; well a bit less of a douche as he slowly drinks the cool-aid that is Carly.

images.jpg

I loved that even though Aiden does grow as an individual throughout this story he still manages to stay true to his inborn nature just a much more likeable version of himself that was there all along but was just buried deep; like really needs a shovel deep.
Carly/Peaches, I really adored this girl with her ingenious set of new rules for the new an improved Carly 2.0 she had me from the first page.
Who hasn't been screwed over and taken the mick out of; Carly was being proactive and taking control; this girl was so my hero especially when she stood up to Aiden's complete bullcrap, calling him out and refusing to be his whipping boy.

7934978

This also had a fantastic supporting cast that I really want to learn more about especially Carly's new friend Ally whos vibe I was really digging.
In fact, the whole story here was jam-packed with something for everyone.
Not one for slow burns; well I would make an exception here the best bit for me about Alphahole was how the tension was expertly ratcheted up notch by delicious notch; it really was one of the best slow-burn romances I have read and when we eventually arrived at the expected destination well boy it was so worth the anticipated wait.
So Alphahole gets a massive thumbs up from myself, this one turned out to be a real winner that I totally recommend 100%.

erica

Give it a go I really don't think you will be disappointed.
Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of "Alphahole" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions are entirely my own.

The h was a hopeless doormat, hopeless.
On the other hand, if a woman gets aroused and feels attraction to a POS of DNA-waste/aka male protagonist shorty after he had sex with OW and treated her/OW disrespectful, she deserves him and his disrespectful attitude, IMO.

It's very sad, that many female authors write such disgusting male protagonists and female readers praise them.

Is an abhorrent std-driven male, who calls women bitches and makes pics while face-fucking and anal 'doing' a woman (even if she is not a nice person, but why then have sex with her at all?), a new definition of a book boyfriend?

Is he what women want as their partner, husband or maybe as a boyfriend for their daughters?

4.5 stars: forced proximity, hot sauce and peaches goodness

I’m always down to read an enemies-to-lovers, especially when it’s a forced proximity/roommates trope.

Carly (26) just moved to San Diego because of a job transfer (from Buffalo) after a disastrous relationship, best friend AND sister situation. Broken-hearted, she realized her “best friend” wasn’t a good friend after all and her sister didn’t care to be a sister to her either. So now she’s looking forward to this new beginning, a Carly 2.0 who’s not going to let anyone walk all over her.

She goes to her new apartment and encounters a woman yelling at a man… this man ends up being her new alpha hole roommate, Aiden (29), who’s also her boss’s boss 😬. He’s also way too arrogant for her likes… and he wants her 👀. He’s gonna turn up the sexual tension to get her in his bed.

Let the enemies-to-lovers trope begin 😈

What I loved: possible spoilers
—the tension. Oh lawd. So much tension 🔥. Which also means that this is a slow burn 😅. Their first kiss happens at about 52% and they go all the way by about 76%. But then… then they act like bunnies 🤣👀.

—cereal eating? Oh yeah 😮‍💨😉 Aiden loves to eat cereal 🥵 lots of other stuff happens too, but I can always appreciate a man that eats healthily 🤷🏻‍♀️. Carly eats healthy too so 💅 a good symbiotic relationship is always a healthy one 😅🤣

—the taboo office aspect 👀. It takes a while to get the full effect, but with all the tension in the office and at home, it felt just right 🔥

—I saw yours so I’ll show you mine 👀. Aiden trying to figure out who’s using his shower means only one thing… he has to reciprocate 💦 and show his too 🤷🏻‍♀️. See. He’s being fair

—the bonding. Sigh. That 70s Show leads to lots of cuddling and 🔥. I’ll admit. I reread that a few times 😉

—the times I laughed! the team building paintball exercise scene alone has be almost peeing my pants 🤣. I was D Y I N G 🤣. One of my favorite scenes ever 😅🤣 loooooved it 👏🏻 and the hot sauce scene too was 🥵😮‍💨 and 🤣🤣

—the family stuff. It goes to show that not everyone is perfect or has a perfect life. Aiden and Carly both have family struggles that got to me. Aiden’s turmoil runs deeper and has affected the way he is with people and how he sees relationships ☹️. It matters since it causes the biggest rift between him and Carly 😬

—the side characters. I’m so glad we get their books 👀

—the epilogue. Many times, epilogues show us their lives in the future, which this one does, but it also shows us how many conflicts/problems revealed throughout the book have been resolved 👏🏻 more books need this

—the OMD 😈. I luuuuurve OMD 😉

—shutting down the OW. Aiden is great at putting the ow that show up in their place. I stand by men who take out their own trash 💅🤷🏻‍♀️. Their women should feel secure enough to not have to worry about taking out the trash that isn’t theirs, and Carly doesn’t. This leads me to…

—Carly standing her ground when it came to the ow stuff. I appreciated Carly not caving and making Aiden stew in his regret juices (I’ll add to this down below)

What I didn’t like/wanted more of: spoilers
—longer grovel. The third act conflict felt more like a fifth act conflict 😬 (it happens after 95%). We knew it was coming because it was alluded to earlier in the book, but I still felt 🥴 about it. It had happened, I’m sure the grovel would’ve been longer. It doesn’t take long for Carly to give in to Aiden; he DOES fix the “problem” that cause their rift. I wouldn’t have minded if we had seen Aiden’s turmoil for that week 😈 give me alllll the angst 💅🤣 I wouldn’t have minded some bloody begging knees 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

—the owd 😐. I didn’t mind the exes, it’s the evidence against them that made me feel 🥴 (this is just MY pet peeves though). I’m team Carly for this 🤷🏻‍♀️

Overall, I loved it

⚠️safety squad⚠️
-no cheating/sharing
-H slept with OW when book opens up. He hasn’t met the h yet. He has video many OW and pictures for insurance purposes/blackmail 😬. OW2 shows up to their apartment. H kicks her out. She also shows up in his apartment in NY. Kicks her out then. She causes drama for H’s family as well
-OM ex keeps calling h. She tells him off
-OM2 is creepy and flirts with h
-parent with cancer/drug addict sibling
-alcoholism family member
-cheating (not between MCs)
-spanking/anal play/foot kink
-condoms/then none/on the pill

So I have some things to say about this book and they may not be good.

WTF was wrong with this hero? He is such a jerk, worse than a jerk. He makes sex videos of women he’s with without their consent, knowledge, or approval whatsoever. His explanation: in case the women try to blackmail him in the future, he’ll bring out his arsenal of sex tapes filmed without permission. I’m sorry but I am not okay with it, not even in the least. Even if the woman is a mega-bitch, you cannot do that, you just can’t. There needs to be a concept known as consent but the hero apparently missed that memo. The fuck is wrong with the guy? Gonna knock off 2 stars for that.

As if that wasn’t aggravating enough, there was this scene where the heroine is giving his crazy ex an earful, and guess what she says. ‘This girl’s over you.’ Who talks like that in real life. Who? No one. That’s who. That is just in break up songs. Apparently, that girl missed that memo. Maybe I’m hairsplitting here but it really rubbed me the wrong way; it irked me. I tried really hard to imagine someone talking like that in a serious convo but came up empty.

All in all, I had a hard time finishing this book; at one point, I was going to DNF it. I did not like the characters, the pacing, and the major plot twist.

‘He’s an Alphahole. An alpha male asshole who wants to pound his chest and make everyone fall in line out of fear of him.’

‘What a grouchy ogre jerk.’

Redeemable alpha male? ✔
Lovable female lead? ✔
A fun story? ✔
Non-stop, eventful plot? ✔
Slow burn romance with waves of intense heat? ✔
Strong characters? ✔
Satisfying HEA? ✔

‘Now that I’ve arrived, I hereby declare myself Carly 2.0’

He’s heat, he’s spice, he’s not anything nice.

She’s sweet, she’s kind, a fun-loving find.

26-year-old Carly Adler is a fresh face in San Diego, and she wants a fresh life too, intending to leave the soft skin of pushover Carly behind to step into the robust hide of Carly 2.0. Carly part two stands up for herself, intercepts people who try to cross her, puts people in their place and isn’t to be taken for granted, not anymore. From a small life in Buffalo, Carly has left behind the people she belatedly saw as false-hearted and faithless. Sweet, lovely Carly has decided that a new place means a new her and she wants to leave the life of a doormat where she found it because nobody gets to wipe their feet on her anymore.

‘No one but me needs to know that this new and improved version of me isn’t who I’ve always been.’

Walking into her new corporate apartment is one of the best days in Carly’s life, only in that one day she gets a keen and unsolicited insight into her unexpected roommate, Aiden , learning three things about him: he’s shamelessly striking, he’s a slob of epic proportions and he is the consummate definition of ‘Alphahole’ wrapped in a scorching ribbon of 50-shades hotter, and 50-tones of unprincipled alpha.

“You’re a rat bastard!”
“Maybe. Jury’s still out on that.”
I glare at him. He’s still smiling.’

Aiden Carmichael is a bad-boy alpha, but more than that he’s an irrefutable asshole, and he knows it and loves it. He’s angry and fiery and vindictive, and Carly better not get on his bad side because he will come for her too. Aiden carts bitter ire, and as he deals with the laboured and damaged relationships with his own family, he sees his new roommate as the perfect target to discharge his repressed quandaries. So what better way to release harboured feelings than to toy with his gorgeous new roommate?

‘I accomplish my chosen missions every day of the week. At work. At play. In hell, too.’

“You’re an HR nightmare. How has CC not gotten sued?”
“I don’t sexually harass everyone. I’m rather selective, in fact.”

But not only will he cross every boundary to invade Carly’s personal space at home, he is seeking to enflame her failures at work with the same tenor because it turns out that he is also her boss, and not only that, his father runs the entire company as CEO. With a target to claim her and destroy her at the same time, Carly won’t take his nonsense with a pinch of salt, because she’s not a doormat remember? It’s shame that Aiden has no idea what boundaries are because he wants to intercept every one with Carly, and he’s not going to stop.

‘All I know Is that I can’t show weakness with this guy. Like a typical alpha, they prey on the weak. It’s like showing red to a bull, like blood in the water to a hungry shark.’

D.D. Prince writes a book about a man who is oblivious to civility but skilled in vulgarity, a steaming piece of alpha male pie who doesn’t like to lose, but will take a chance to lose if it means Carly will see him as more than his namesake. Hoping to release the negative energy of her topical life Carly has little choice but to evade asshole Aiden and his asshole antics. Less than accommodating, obscenely naughty, repugnantly self-obsessed and loosely moraled in most all areas of his life, Aiden Carmichael loves playing games that Carly has no interest in playing. Carly has a big heart though, and perhaps it’s infections enough counter Aiden.

If I had to live with Aiden in alpha asshole mode? I think I would have a spiritual breakdown. if I had to live with Aiden following his alpha asshole phase? I’d have a hormone uprising.

Great story, great fun, SO good 😊

‘Alphahole’ is one of the best alpha stories I’ve read so far! If you don’t believe in love developing in the space of two weeks, ‘Alphahole’ screams otherwise.

“Don’t give up on me. It might take me a while to learn to not be an Alphahole, okay?”

Trigger Warning: Swearing, mentions of a past suicide, sex scenes

My first book by this author and I’m an instant fan! I love an alphahole but he has to be redeemable and that’s exactly what I got with Aiden. He was so full of himself as well as bitter and angry with life in general. Carly is the sweet forgiving girl who gets walked over by the people in her life but now she’s ready to be a new Carly, the 2.0 version. Aiden is definitely the one to help her get into that role. She was so feisty and in his face. I loved that the more she shared her outrageous thoughts about his awful behavior, the more he fell into lust and then love with her.

description

There’s some other woman drama here but Carly was able to stand up to it pretty well. One part had her questioning things but when these two finally talk it out she sees it for what it is. When another incident arises it really hits home but it has more to do with his reactions to the problem rather than the other woman.

description

This is a lengthier book but holy heck it never slowed down. These characters are so well developed and this is written in a style that just pulled me completely into their story. And the steam. The chemistry between Carly and Aiden is beyond sizzling and yet this actually has a slow burn feel to it, despite the intense desire these two feel for each other.

I’m HIGHLY recommending this to anyone who loves an alpha hero who is also a bit of an a-hole as well.

Alphahole- arrogant, alpha, entitled, loosely moraled,
a$$hole! Yes I think that describes Aiden Carmichael to perfection. This guy had me alternating between wanting to slap him and/or wrap my legs around him. What is kryptonite to an Alphahole? A sexy, sassy, take no bull, brilliant co-worker named Carly. Ok, co-worker might be a stretch since he is her boss! This smart romance is one of the sharpest books that I have read this year. It has all the slow burn you expect in a well developed enemies to lovers story. It has all the witty banter, snark and heat that made me keep turning the pages.

I was lost inside this read as I watched Aiden and Carly dance around each other. I went from wanting her to give him a piece of her mind and take that cocky Alphahole down a peg or two, to wanting her to hump his leg. He’s so sexy, she’s so sassy and together the sparks fly! I was so invested in these characters, by the end of the story, that I felt like an office mate myself. There is nothing sexier than watching two people, who could not be more opposite, find that spark that makes them combust. This author can write well developed characters, she can build up the burn and she can sure let the smoking hot sexy fly when the time is right.

If you love an enemy to lovers office romance with all the banter and steam that we expect from a incredible story than you NEED to read Alphahole. I highly recommend this book to everyone. I loved it!

***For fans of office romances, bully-to-lovers romance and/or slow burn romance.***

4.5 Stars!

H - An alpha-hole (lol). He's a man whore and an ass. He's controlling, arrogant, a jerk and a j/p alpha.
h - I liked her. She's beautiful, smart, funny, loyal and determined to not be walked on by anyone ever again. My only complaint with her was her inner monologue. While initially great, it became redundant. Less inner monologue would've been better.
1st person POV with POV from H and h
sex - delayed until about 70% but steamy when it happens.
triggers - none
ow - minor ow drama. H hates ow. There are times when the ow resurfaces only for the H to end whatever drama she tries to stir up quickly. He's not interested in ow.
hea
epilogue - short but satisfying

FYI - This book is aptly named. If you don't like alpha-holes, you might want to steer clear. I like alpha-holes and so it was with utter glee that I began reading this book and DeeDee Prince did not disappoint.

When the H and h meet, he had just finished having sex (& recording it without the ow's consent). The h walks in on the scene as this ow is getting dressed. She immediately becomes aware that her "roommate" is a man-whore and an ass due to the way he treated the ow. She then becomes intimately acquainted with his obnoxious behavior. The things he did to her!! Urgh! It was kind of ridiculous and immature in many way and yet when you finally learn some of his history and WHY he did what he did, it seemed more understandable though no less immature and ridiculous. Sabotaging her at work? Really??? Yet would we expect anything less from an alpha-hole? Lol! I think not.

When the H "made his move" on the h, he was no less of an alpha-hole.

Brief excerpt:

" "Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Step back," I ordered.
He moved in closer. His body is now directly against me.
My face goes red.
"Enough of this shit with us. I want you," he says.
I choke on my shock. And I shove.
"Listen," he commands, pinning me again.
"Get your hands off me," I snap.
"Let's go home. Get this out of our systems. We both want this." "

A few paragraphs later -

" "Now, Aiden. Let go of me. Or, I call the cops instead and have you charged with assault."
He steps back but only about half a foot. "This is gonna happen.."

As time went on, slowly, the H began to realize he was wrong about the h and then he realized that he'd majorly messed up any chance he had of being with her. That was great! I really appreciated the fact that the h had a brain and did not just jump into bed with the H because he was gorgeous and he wanted her. It took time for the H to work his way into her bed and into her heart. I loved that! It made the story much more believable to me. I also loved that the H was possessive of the h before they were together as a couple. He warned his brother off from dating her and later was jealous when he saw her dancing with another guy at a nightclub. That was so much fun to read!

Excerpt of his thoughts when he saw her dancing with another man: "Fuck this. I'm on the move. I'm in the thick of the group of people moving, bumping into me, but I have a single-minded focus of getting those hands off what's mine."

Thankfully, this H's asshole behavior while truly appalling at times was no where near what I've read in some books. I didn't hate him and was beyond ready for them to finally "seal the deal".

Those of you who love office romances, bully-to-lovers romance and/or slow burn romance will probably love this story. I'm not an office romance fan and I still enjoyed this one. There were some great humorous scenes and plenty of moments where I wanted to kill the H. Not that I'm vindictive or anything, lol. :D **I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.**

Alphahole lives up to its title in every way and could even be described as the provocative, lust-filled version of The Odd Couple. That is if you replace Oscar and Felix with Aiden Carmichael, our resident alphahole slob, who is scintillating, enticing, infuriating and murderously frustrating, and Carly, a neat-freak, good girl on a collision course towards bad and learning to love every minute of it. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Alphahole! I loved the explosive interactions and sexually charged moments. The characters’ backstories and circle of family and friends added another dimension of entertainment that wouldn’t allow me to put the book down.

This book was a ton of fun.
Aiden pissed me off and got me all flustered, much the same way he did with Carly for the bulk of the book. The tension was super well done. Carly was awesome. Great supporting characters, like Ally and Joshua, who I can't wait to read more of.

This couldn’t miss since it is a mishmash of many of my favorite book tropes: RomCom, Enemies to lovers, office romance, surprise roommate and an H who totally lives up to the name of the book. I love him. Carly, the girl who brings him to his knees, is a sweetheart. They are hot together. It is laugh out loud funny with some heartfelt moments too. This was fun and I highly recommend it. 5 stars!

"Follow The Rules?
Firstly let me start by saying please go one click this book straight away as if you can only buy one book this month make sure it's Alphahole by D.D Prince.
This book is absofuckinlutely fantastic and I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could.
I got so invested in their storyline I read it in a day and only stopped to feed my fiance and cat.
I say thankgod for days off as I think I'd have gone crazy if I had to stop reading for longer than a couple of hours.
This storyline really pulls you in and gets you invested in all the words.
It makes you feel that you are a part of their story and on many an occasion today I have been sat with a massive smile on my face thanks to Carly Adler, Aiden Carmichael and co.
These two couldn't be more different if they tried but it works.
She's a down to earth Buffalo girl who has had everything dumped on her recently and decides enough is enough. She decides to kill the old doormat Carly and become Carly 2.0
She gets a new job at Carmichael Consulting International in San Diego and that's when the fun really starts.
Aiden Carmichael is a grade A jerk, a massive alphahole who has had everything he wants in the past.
He's definitely not used to being told no until he meets Carly.
Carly isn't afraid to put him in his place and call him out on his antics.
This is a fantastic story that really lets you see everything about the characters.
The sexual chemistry between these two is off the charts and the banter is hilarious.
Seriously it's a great 5 star read that you really need to one click asap.
I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

𝔸𝕝𝕡𝕙𝕒𝕙𝕠𝕝𝕖 is the first book in the Alphahole Roommates Series by D.D. Prince. This is sort of my first book by the author other than skimming Dominant years back.

Carly just moved to San Diego to start a brand-new life after all of the people she’s close to back home have betrayed her in one way or another. She is excited to begin her journey and takes a cab to her new corporate housing. Turns out, instead of Ally, whom she thought she’d be rooming with, she ends up being paired with Aiden. A grade a alphahole in every possible way.

I realized that while I enjoy enemies to lovers reads, I’m not a fan of the whole hero is a goofball f-boy and doesn’t take life seriously. I didn’t Aiden. He didn’t come across as sexy or have any appeal to me.

Carly was alright. She’s nice, did nothing wrong and does stand up for herself every time Aiden is a douche to her.

I just honestly found this book forgettable, boring, and unmemorable. It’s been a few days since I’ve read the story and I already forgot it. It’s a basic roommates to lovers premise with an alphahole.

I would have liked a shorter book, more time between the hero and heroine, less secondary character interaction and it was so long. It was so long without being interesting and I almost gave up.

Certain things trigger moments of smiling. They vary depending on the person. Sometimes it is a smell or a good book in a favorite chair on a rainy day, or it is seeing a book on your kindle from one of your all-time favorite authors. That was me today when I discovered this wonderful book that made me smile more times than I can count.

I will admit that I was wondering if this was going to be another 5 star read from this author. Not because I did not think she had it in her because good lord, this woman can write. Rather it was because, she writes Hot Vampire, MC or Mafia romance all of which with dark (sometimes very DARK) undertones. I posited whether she could possibly do an enemy/coworker romance. I should not have ever been concerned because she knocked this out of the park. She is the queen of writing about Alphaholes in a way that makes you hate them and love them at the same time. If You have ever read Tristan, Tommy, or Alessandro then you know. MMMM Alessandro. Sorry, shiny squirrel moment. I didn't mean to digress. Anyway, my point was she did it again with this book. While it is in no way as dark as the majority of her other works, there is still a similarity in creating Aiden, a manchild, that I wanted to punch several times while at the same time I wanted to see how many times it would take to get to the tootsie roll. FYI, It would not matter that he isn't a tootsie pop. I would do it in the name of science...

Aiden. Sweet Holy Titfire. The mouth on this guy. Ovaries gone. Carly. She cracked me up. Her list and Carly 2.0 attitude were perfect. The banter and push and play between those two were palpable. The anticipation almost killed me at times. In fact, as much as I liked Carly, I was ready to push her out of the way to finally see for myself Aiden Jr. #TheStruggleWasReal #Greysweatpantsdrivemecrazy When the steam finally happened my kindle was smoking and not just because it was 111 degrees in Idaho today.

The timeframe of this book happens relatively quickly but it never felt like an instant love story. There was so much going on that it seemed like it happened over a very lengthy time. I liked that a lot as instant love makes me a little stabby because it generally is cheesy. This is a long book. I am not sure this author knows how to write short ones. The setting was intriguing and I really appreciated the effort that went into to describing the job setting. The secondary characters were great too. I really loved Ally and Jude and Meryl and Austin. I want them to have their own stories too. Yet, in the same breath, I don't because this author is booked until 2020 or some crazy date and I need more from Tristan or any of those hot as hell Valentine men first and a hot alien. I promise, I am not demanding, I just have needs!

That being said, Fantastic book. I should never have doubted this author. She always knocks my socks off and makes me ramble on and fangirl.

Was happy to receive this ARC of Alphahole & have to say it was the perfect blend of laughter, steam and even a light tear.. ok admittedly I’m a sap!
But I can also admit to actually laughing out loud!

Mr. Alphahole himself needed a wake up call and at one point I wanted to reach out and smack his arrogance ... a good read I didn’t put down.

Oh how I love a good ALPHAHOLE! They are my absolute favorite kind of heroes (or anti heroes) to read about and the can never get enough of em.
There is a thin line and perfect ratio between just a total asshole who gets off on it... and an asshole who is just enough asshole and alpha. Aiden was a perfect balance of asshole and alpha.

Aiden & Carly’s love is filled with wit, snark challenges, smiles, HOT HOT HOT sexiness and it’s all wrapped up in a trope of romance I don’t often read.

1. The plot kept my attention and was extremely well written.
2. The alpha Hero was an asshole, however, the heroine’s backbone, snark, and wit makes her a worthy opponent.
3. The secondary characters were very well developed and I look forward to seeing them again.

DD Prince definitely delivered with this. From MC, paranormal, dark, and mafia, she can definitely pull it all off.

this was one of my summer reads...

no so classical "enemies to lovers" either...theer was smth OFF with the H, can't quite point things out, except him being an asshole was quite a bit annoying...until it wasn't but then again, it was a bit too late for me to like it more :/

I never got to post my review, i also almost forgot what was it about :/ which is not a good case, usually, I don't remember the details, I do remember I liked it enough to pass my time in the shade, so definitely on the good side of things... *thumbs up*

OMG, where to start!!! So I am ashamed to say it took me way too long to pick up this delicious book. When I finally got time to myself, I was on an airplane. I read so hard I forgot to be terrified that I would die. Then I spent the next few days ripping heads off whenever anyone interrupted my Aiden time. This guy.... fanning self. Only DD can write sex scenes that make me forget where I am and who I am. A BIG 5 stars for this piece of magic. Love, love loved it!!! ❤️❤️❤️

This has become one of my top two favorite books by DD. I love this author. She is funny, down-to-earth, and can write a seriously hot sex scene.

DD is brave to release this while Mercury is retrograde. She has bigger cajones than me, which is kinda saying a lot.

Like DD, Carly 2.0 has more cajones than Carly 1.0. No more weak little doormat for this girl. I think most of us can kind of relate to the doormat thing at some point in our lives. It can be a painful challenge to grow that backbone.

Carly’s challenge is an alphahole named Aiden; I fell in love with him almost immediately. You probably will, too.

This story strays a bit from the darker stuff DD is known for. It is still a fantastic book. Definitely check it out!

I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.

When I first heard about this book I was intrigued. A story about an alphahole?! That had me wondering about the man who was acting like one. Would I like him? Or hate him?

To my delight, I really enjoyed this story. I was a bit afraid when I started it that the male character ‘Aiden’ would be too bad or too mean to be loveable or do things that would be unforgivable but luckily that wasn’t the case. It took me a little bit to get into the story but once I was in, I was really, really IN it! Aiden is a character that you have to get to know to really love.

I really liked how the writer wrote this story. Both character grew in their own way. Carly became stronger, more confident in her own worth and Aiden became less of an alphahole. Both were hurt in the past by people they trusted. That’s something that they had in common and both dealt with it in their own way. I found Carly a very loveable character. Yes, she’s maybe too loyal to people who doesn’t deserve it but that only shows that she has a big and loyal heart. For me, she had the perfect combination of sweet and sass to make me love her.

The story is told from both POV’s. One of the things that I found fascinating about this story is that it’s a contradict on itself. Because in one way you can say, it’s a slow burn story because it takes a lot of pages before they have sex (but what a hot and sexy buildup we get to that moment!!) but if you look at the timeline in the story, it goes very quickly. So is it then a slow burn story or not?! Whatever you call it, it’s hot and sexy from the beginning to the end, that I can tell you! It was never boring and the story was easy to read. The chemistry between Aiden and Carly was everything I hoped for. The second characters (friends and family) were also great.

I really hope that the writer decides to write more books in this genre, maybe even a book about Aiden’s brother Austin or Carly’s friend Ally? I really hope so!

D.D. Prince is quickly becoming one of my favourite writers! She’s a writer who isn’t afraid to write different genre of romance books. Paranormal, contemporary, dark mafia, fun alien stories, she writes it all but no matter which genre she writes, one thing always stay the same, her male characters are strong, alpha, dominant men and her female characters have a great heart but also a bit of sass. I really adore this combination. It reminds me a bit of my other favourite writer Kristen Ashley. But just like KA, D.D. Prince has her own, unique writing style and I love it!

Carly has decided she needs to become Carly 2.0 after being finding out her best friend thinks she is boring, her ex dumps her and her wayward sister maxes out her credit card. The opportunity drops in her lap when she is offered a three month job doing what she loves, if she proves herself she gets a permanent place with the company. Not to mention the perks are unbelievable including an apartment.

Everything around Carly is looking up until she meets her roommate. A complete slob, jerk and the sons boss, Aiden Carmichael. Carly wants nothing to do with Aiden but he hits on her repeatedly, tests her at work and eats her food. The new Carly would just keep her mouth shut but something about Aiden has her going head to head with the Alphahole named Aiden.

Aiden is not used to being rebuffed, he is handsome, rich, and women beg for chance with him. That is until he meets Carly, he is determined to have her but she is determined to keep him at a distance. What happens when Aiden realizes Carly is not another woman who is just after his money or power?

This was better then I anticipated. I thought the whole story was a hoot and could not put it down. Aiden begins as a big jerk, he is purely alpha and conceited but there are so many layers to his story that helped create who he is. Loved Carly, she was a ray of sunshine but could be a fierce woman at the same time. Wonderful read.

"When it rains it pours" about sums up Carly's life at the time when she first meets Aiden. Considering Aiden wasn't at his best when Carly first meets him surely he couldn't make an even worse impression afterwards could he? Why yes he actually does lol. What ensues is a series of bad decisions on Aiden's part trying to trap and attract Carly at the same time. Never fear though Carly is up to the task of straightening out our Alphahole on how to treat her. I found this book to be engaging and entertaining with a heaping side of smexiness.

What can I say about Aiden Carmichael? How can I love someone who is the true definition of "Alphahole" ? Well, I love everything about him.

What can I say about Carly? She's beautiful, kind, loving, and does not take one ounce of Aiden's "Alphahole" behavior .

This book is fantastic from page one. Aiden has reasons for being an "Alphahole" and his guard is up at every turn. Carly has reasons as to why she does not let Aiden treat her like a doormat and calls Aiden out at every turn.

The side characters Ally, Merle, Austin, and Jordon are awesome as well!! I would love for each of them to have their own story!! (Hint Hint DD).

I honestly could not put this book down. I love Aiden and Carly hard and I'm green with envy that Carly gets all of that Alpha Sexiness!! This is definitely a Five-Star read. Hands down!! I was so sad to read "The End". Kudos DD Prince!!! You've done it again!!!!💗

4.5 stars

I loved this book.
Carly has been screwed over a lot in her past by her ex, her sister and her best friend so when she gets a job opportunity she moves and decides to become Carly 2.0 .... no longer a doormat.

She ends up Sharing an apartment with Aiden her boss’ son and guy who is taking over her boss’ boss’ job whilst he is sick.

Now Aiden.... he was the epitome of an alphahole... I tried not to like him but damn some of the things he did and said when he was turning on the charm was HOT AF. He was 100% infuriating though, sometimes I just wanted to shake him.

Aiden is your typical closed off alpha hole with a shit load of family drama and has been screwed by his ex.... he doesn’t do relationships but he also doesn’t like that fact that Carly turns him down more than once as it’s a hit to his ego.

I love that Carly grew so much over this story, she didn’t just give in and this was a massive slow burn..to the point I thought to myself is that actually ever going to happen?

The chemistry between Aiden and Carly was HOT, the way Aiden was with his nephew made my ovaries go BOOM.

If you love a slow burn, enemies to lovers, office/roommate romance then this is the book for you.

This kind of read is usually right up my alley. Carly has taken on a new job in a new city to get a fresh start in life. There's a "mix up" and her corporate housing roommate is with the boss' son, Aiden. The jerk of all jerks and they really get off on the wrong foot. It's one of my favorite tropes of enemies-to-lovers slow burn with a jerk alpha. Carly was just fine. And the plot itself had all the right stuff too.

I think for me it was just the style of writing. Romcoms dance the line of cute & fun and just being too much. This fell into the latter for me. Although I liked all the ingredients, the story itself was just way too over-the-top and extra that I couldn't connect. It lead to quite a few eye-rolls and skimming through the pages.

Would I recommend? Eh. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. You have to like it extra-silly.
