Archana Garodia Gupta is the author of “The Women who ruled India” which details the stories of 20 women who ruled in India. She writes on retail, women’s issues and history for newspapers and magazines, including columns for The Hindu and Indian Express.

Archana is the coauthor of the bestselling two volume “A History of India for Children” published by Hachette, which was nominated for the Crossword book award, and included in the Times of India list of 10 books every Indian Child must Read. With a lifelong passion for books, languages, travel and history, she has a knack for weaving delightful nuggets of information into engaging tales.

A leading national quizzer, she is seen on national television as an expert on Kaun Banega Crorepati. She has won the ‘Champion of Champions’ title from BBC Mastermind India.

Archana was the National President of FLO, the women’s wing of FICCI, in 2015- 2016. She has been working in the sphere of women’s development since the last two decades.

In her business sphere, Archana Garodia Gupta, an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, owns and runs a successful gems and jewellery business, Touchstone.

Another wonderful, concise history for all age. This book which is the 2 nd part of the book series by Archana Garodia starts from the Mughal era till 2018/19.
It covers the dominance of Mughals , later by french, Dutch, Portuguese and finally the British. The evil British rule and the way they plundered India has been covered well in this book.
Archana Garodia has also summaried the world around as the years go by.
His india fought the British , hit independence, followed by partition, riots and then further challenges of forming and running the vast diversified country has also been covered here.
The Nehru era, Indira years, the opposition rising and falling, the Rajiv Gandhi years are all covered in brief. The indo- China and indo -pak war, the Punjab Crisis, kargil war and terrorism across the globe is also mentioned briefly.
The rise in various sectors has slso been described over the years post independence.
Overall a wonderful read and reference book for all history lovers and also for all who wanted to know about India can surely gain a lot by reading this book.

The book was delightfully full of trivia until India's independence after which it was just vilification of the Congress and whitewashing RSS and BJP
