Loved this book as a child

3.5 Stars.

This children's book consists of four short stories for young readers. They are humorous takes on fairytales - "The princess who wouldn't get married" for example, seems to be a simplified/prettified take on King Thrushbeard. The stories are approachable and entertaining with a manageable amount of text for beginning readers.
