An ancient vendetta ignites a turbulent love triangle. Will she choose the Viking who loves her? Or will she choose the enemy? Cursed by her dragon ancestor, Sage is at the root of a burgeoning prophecy that threatens her sisters. The only way to protect them is to leave Winter Harbor, Maine, and travel back in time to tenth century Scandinavia. To travel back to Håkon and Leif, the men she left behind. Two warriors pitted against each other to win her over so they might strengthen their position in an ongoing war. Yet when she arrives, she's captured by someone else entirely. Set to annihilate his nemesis before he wreaks havoc and claims Sage as his own, Viking Håkon Sigdir pursues Leif. Until Sage is taken by Magnus of the Årud tribe. It then becomes a race to see who can save her first from the enemy's rogue ally. A race that turns into a battle of wills as their rivalry for Sage intensifies. Sparks fly as an age-old vendetta ignites a love triangle that threatens not just the fate of Håkon's people but his very heart. Will Sage ultimately choose him or Leif? Will she see past the dark enchantment affiliated with her ancestor's prophecy and realize who is destined for her? Better yet, will she see clearly the evil imposter? Because if she falls for Leif's mock heroism rather than Håkon's genuine valor, the war will be lost. HEAT LEVEL: Sizzling Hot. Recommended for a Mature Audience.

This is definitely my favourite book out of the series so far! Mainly because I LOVE the new characters that we’re getting introduced to, the have spark and sass and it’s amazing! And I really loved that mythology and lore and magic took the forefront in this book, it made me enjoy it that much more! This series has been great so far and I’m looking forward to seeing what the next book brings.
Call me a little kinky. . . I was expecting a little menage, but then
I love to read Sky's stories of vikings, time travel, drangons, and more. She bring to life tales that captivate the mind and transport you to a world beyond comprehenstion in this day. When this lates installment int he Viking Ancestors came available, I was expecting a little menage, but then I got a deeper story of true everlasting love and then true deceit and deception along with a curse. Sage, Hakon, Leif, and in a sense Magnus all find that they have a role to play in this battle of heart, the land, the people. Trust and connection will be the key here.
Sage is plagued with a problem she is supposed to fulfill out an ancient prophecy but two Viking dragon warriors are in love with her and want to be her mate. One is Hakon the Viking dragon who fights for good; the attraction to him is long standing but instantaneous and the other is Lief the enemy dragon warrior. Luckily Sage can avoid the problem since she is in 2018 Maine. That is until the ash tree sends Sage back in time to 10th century Scandinavia. Sage must deal with the love she holds for Hakon and Lief also while preventing the war that threatens Hakon’s clan but her family as well. What is Sage to do stay with Hakon thereby stopping the threat or give into Lief. This is the second exciting book in the Viking ancestors rise of the dragon series. In the first book we see Emily and Sven who face their challenge falling in love and having a future. This book is Sage, Hakon and Lief’s story. Whereas the first book had some confusion this book is better bringing everyone back to 10th century Scandinavia with a love triangle to complicate matters. Also the book can’t really standalone even though this book is not as hard to follow as the first book. Still the book has lots of action, plot twists that no one ever sees coming, nice fully fleshed out characters, and a very steamy hot romance! Sage’s dilemma between good versus evil is pretty exciting and a very big dilemma even though the scenes between Sage and Lief are brief. Sage is great strong heroine even though she has a lot to deal with she never loses who she really is or becomes weak. Hakon is definitely a hot handsome hero that is pretty easy to fall for. Sure he makes mistakes but manages to fight the evil surrounding him. While Lief on the other hand is also hard to resist despite his evil intentions. Sage really has a tough choice which is pretty understandable. This is definitely a good book and series, am eagerly waiting to read the next one too!
Vikings Valor is book 2 in Viking Ancestors: Rise of the Dragon. Sky is really taking things to the next level in this series. Book 2 gives Hakon and Sage the chance to come together to try and put and end to the curse they find ancient Scandinavia under. Hakon and Sage will have many trials in this journey and will have to learn to trust one another.
oh when the past catches up to you! vikings fighting, dragons fighting, love, lies, revenge and everything in between! this war is heating up, and I am loving it. We also find out more about Vigdis's past which was very interesting, and more about Sage and her sisters.
Sage travels from her modern home in Maine to tenth century Scandinavia. Håkon and Leif are still fighting for her hand. With a prophecy threatening her sisters and herself, will she be able to pick the right man who is her destiny or fail?
