Billy Moon accepts an offer to move into a long-abandoned, isolated house. Even though he lived in the area for a year, no one ever mentioned the Forth House. The townsfolk kept silent about the house. His recent friend and boss Tom Howell bought the house at an auction. He was not familiar with the area. After he hired Billy, they went to look at several properties Tom purchased at an auction. The Forth House was their first stop. They noticed that it was immaculate inside. Even though no one lived there. Billy noticed a mirror at the end of the hall. And the mirror noticed him. Billy's reason for living was his beautiful wife Laura. Three years into their marriage she was miserable. They worked hard but struggled for money. He wanted to move her into the two-story house, assuming she would love it. Billy ignored warning signs. He did not understand the horror that awaited them in that house. And he put in danger his beloved wife, his sanity and his soul.

This was an extremely eerie story on a haunted house with a terrible history. Billy Moon and his young wife Laura move into that house and Billy begins to change. Murder is taking place. Can the main characters be protected against the evil forces of the house? Can they leave alive? What a creepy page turner that leaves nothing to be desired. I can highly recommend reading this haunted house story. It will cause you goosebumps and nightmares!
A very scary story. Once I started it, I did not stop until I finished it. What a deliciously dreadful story about the house on Butcher lane. Thank you Cameron Joseph for this creepy page turner, I loved it.
Cameron Joseph has hit the horror, drama and suspense jackpot with his writing of The Forth House. The characters are expertly defined and the setting believable. I was so reminded of many ghostly and unexplained experiences as a young girl growing up in an old converted school house in WV. The reflections in the mirror, doors mysteriously slamming, locking and reopening, lights flickering on and ghostly images appearing and overpowering various visitors to the Forth House were powerful and intriguing albeit outright scary at times. This book presents a powerful and gripping exploration of horror and suspense. The cover picture is a perfect portrayal of what the reader will experience. This is a definite “must read” for all those drawn to horror and ghostly drama writings. A superb creation by Cameron Joseph! I recommend this book without reservation.
The Fourth House was a very good read!! I thought the characters were interesting in a story that took you on a mysterious journey! Hope there is a sequel
A scary story. I loved it, it was surprising. I liked both this book and The thing in the pit. I hope there is a sequel to this one. If there is, I'm reading it during the daytime. Once I started reading I did not put it down.
Loved this book it was scary. I liked the length, I read it on the edge of my seat. It really surprised me. I had no idea what would happen next. It's a Novella length and an easy read. I started it in the evening and finished the next day. I don't always have time to read, I have a busy schedule. Lately my reading is usually recipes in cookbooks. I enjoyed reading this book, but I did not read it while I was alone in the house. And I glanced in the mirror too.. boo!..I hope he writes a sequel. This was good it was almost like watching a movie. I'm going to read thing in the pit soon.
This is a scary haunted house story. It's a page turner about a young couple who moves into a house with a sad and violent history. It's a house of horrors full of evil. When I was reading it I expected events to take place but was not ready for them when they did. I read it in the evening and found myself avoiding mirrors and looking over my shoulder. I'm still thinking about the fate of Laura Moon. I highly recommend The Forth House. And I'm looking forward to a sequel.
Dark, Unsettling, and Unforgettable The Forth House is not just a horror novel. It is a descent into madness, legacy, and the quiet desperation of a man trying to protect the one person he loves. Cameron Joseph delivers a chilling story that is as emotionally raw as it is terrifying, following Billy Moon and his wife Laura as they attempt to escape poverty, only to find themselves trapped in something far worse. From the moment Billy steps into the house, something feels wrong. The townsfolk will not speak of it, and those who do seem to suffer for it. But Billy, desperate to give Laura a better life, accepts the offer to move into the house on Butcher Lane despite disturbing signs. What follows is a slow, agonizing unraveling. Voices whisper through mirrors. Shadows linger. The house itself seems to feed on fear, guilt, grief, and secrets. As the story unfolds, Billy is forced to confront not only the horrors, within the house but the darkness within himself. The tension builds relentlessly, and just when the reader begins to understand what is happening, the story shifts. A hidden connection emerges that changes everything. By the end, Billy's fate is sealed in a way that is both tragic and strangely redemptive. This is horror with heart. Readers who are drawn to stories where the supernatural is tangled with personal reckoning, and where the past refuses to stay buried, will find The Forth House haunting long after the final page.
I stuck with the story while rewriting conjunctions in my head. Goodness how awful. Who wrote all the great reviews? I wouldn't recommend but kudos to the author for trying to write a story and put it for others to read.
I don't often leave bad reviews, but I'm hoping the author will take this as positive criticism. The writing is bad, the dialogue is terrible, punctuation missing, and the storyline is all over the place.
