Over two weeks before, Detective Grisham Canton arrested the wrong guy—Solomon Lynch. It wasn’t the first time it’d happened and probably wouldn’t be the last. What made it stand out, however, was the stranger who’d been with Solomon. Grisham didn’t know his name, but the memory of his lean, sexy body, wide dark eyes, and distinctive black and red hair invaded his dreams. Waking with a hard-on was quickly getting old. Grisham heads to World of Aquatica, hoping to discover the identity of the stranger. When Grisham meets Cuzco Judson, the attraction is even more intense than his dreams. After a hot night with the man, Grisham learns a few secrets that turn his life upside down. Cuzco is an octopus shifter and believes Grisham is his mate. As Grisham is drawn into Cuzco’s world—where paranormals will do just about anything to keep their anonymity—will he be able to reconcile that the world isn’t black and white, right and wrong, or will the desire to walk away be too much temptation?

I fell in love with Cuzco and Grisham. I absolutely love these plots I just really wish it was longer and had a little bit more meat to the bones.... this could have been an EPIC series
Grisham first saw Cuzco just in passing when he arrested Solomon and that seemed to start the mating bond. Not really knowing what's going on and why he cant get this guy out of his mind and dreams he search him out........
Hat mir gut gefallen. Liest sich flüssig und echt süß ❤️ nicht zu vergessen die expliziten Szenen 🔥🔥🔥 Kein Riesendrama, eine leichte Kurzgeschichte für zwischendurch. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
I loved this. I've been waiting awhile for another book to come out in this series, and finally, this has come out, Yayy! I liked the no nonsense way the two main characters got together right from the beginning, which was so refreshing. I also enjoyed the part of the story when everybody clued Grisham in about shifters. That was totally cute. This was definitely a charming little read (not to mention with a hint of danger). =) This is also such an outstanding and unique series.
Too short! Not much of a storyline! Too much sex! Which is a real shame as this author is an excellent writer and one of my favourites. I always look out for her work but I hate it when there is not much substance to it. Not really value for money. 😢
This one is not the best of the series. Right of the story goes to sex with no build up between the two MCs. A short 77 page novella but too fast to get to know the characters. Detective Grisham had spotted Cuzco two weeks before and wanted him. Little did they know they where mates.
I have truly fallen under the spell of this delightful series. The opportunity to experience very unique water-based shifters, some of which the human world has deemed extinct, is definitely exciting! I also adore the idea of two brothers, Alpha Kaiser and Beta William, creating this marine park as a safe haven for marine shifters and bringing them together like a huge family.
Cuzco is a coconut octopus who works in the octopus exhibit. He’s also the man who gave Solomon a ride in the previous installment where Solomon ended up getting arrested by Grisham. Grisham hasn’t been able to get Cuzco out of his mind ever since he briefly saw him through a car window. His lusty thoughts are interfering with his sleep so Grisham figures the best thing to do is go to Aquatica and meet Cuzco. Well, Cuzco hasn’t had a lot of experience interacting with humans as he is pretty shy in both his animal and human form, so he is surprised when Grisham comes looking for him and even more startled to realize he is his mate.
After meeting the adorable, but shy Coconut Octopus in the previous books of the Beneath Aquatica's Waves series. I was looking forward to reading his story. The only disappointment was that it was not longer. Getting to know another side of the small Octopus, Cuzco after he scented his mate was interesting. While submissive to his Human mate in the bedroom, he wouldn't allow harm to come to his Detective from anyone: friend, family, or foe.
Detective Grisham could not understand why he couldn't forget the young man he'd encountered, but never met, haunted his erotic dreams. Little did he know the barrel of apples he was opening contained one especially sweet one, some "bad", and others really rotten. His problem was which were the bad apples and which were the truly rotten ones. The "bad" label was subjective, there were bad actions for good reasons. A harder thing for the Detective to accept was that Water Shifters existed.
I looked up Coconut Octopi and they are fascinating.
Esta es la linda historia de un pulpo bonito muy bonito con un detective que en el libro anterior estaba pintado como más prepotente pero que aquí es un terrón de azúcar
