An interesting story dealing with bdsm. Kayla is out with her friend and finally gets her to her place. On the way she took a cig out of her hands and put it in her bag. When she finally gets home, she has a small drink and then lights up.. Unfortunately she falls asleep and awakens with smoke spiraling in her apartment. She;s rescued by one sexy firefighter, Trent. She;s taken to the hospital for an over night stay. The next day Trent shows up and then leaves her his number. She is released from the hospital and calls Trent for help. He shows up and takes her home with him. There she meets his roommate, Chase. They are each captivated by her. Just as they are coming to know each other they discover the secret she was keeping, the cig. Then when her friend is moving back with her parents and she stays with the Trent and Chase and then they discover her other secret. Life is definitely on a collision course with her past.
Fantastic story and interesting insights into bdsm.
Great story to read.

This was an okay read. The sex scenes were hot, but I did not care for how the initial kink elements were introduced. IMO, it just felt somewhat off. The storyline developed some depth with the introduction of Kayla’s background and how Chase and Trent helped her deal with it. For those who may be triggered by abuse or sadism should be aware of these elements in the story. I liked the characters and the story. I just did not feel any deep connection with them or the story. You should read it for yourself to make your own judgement.

Who knew that setting her apartment accidentally on fire would bring not one but two sexy firemen in Kayla's life. Trent and Chase are co-workers and roommates that are used to sharing their women. Where the is smoke there is fire and in this story there are two delicious firemen there to save the day!!! Kayla moved to Chicago five years ago to escape traumatic events in her life to have only one friend, a job and no social life due to her inability to trust. That doesn't mean she doesn't go out with her friend to help get Anna over her broken heart. When Kayla gives into temptation and wakes up to her apartment on fire and can barely breathe she dimly sees the fireman there to carry her to safety. Trent and Chase share more than an apartment and a job as firemen together. Getting tired of sharing one night stands they wonder if they'll ever find a special woman to share for life. Where Trent is sweet and kind, Chase was cocky and arrogant but that made everything work so well. Everything seems to click for the two firemen and the beautiful women saved from a fire until the truth about the fire was revealed, and a punishment seemed fitting for Kayla. Can this love triangle be as real as it feels?? How are Trent and Chase going to react when they find secrets about Kayla's past and why she fled her hometown five years ago?? Ahhh Smoke and Fire. Good lusty fun?

The Gist: Kayla is a dumbass and manages to burn her apartment down in a gloriously stupid way. But then snags herself two sexy firemen. So, clearly, of the two of us I'm the one going about things the wrong way. lol

Kayla, Trent and Chase were fun. The guys are firefighters. Sexy and a little cocky. Into sharing chicks. Kayla's not having her best moment but she's a nice heroine overall. Doesn't flail or fall apart over a crisis. They were all good together. Had nice chemistry.

There's really not much to Smoke and Fire. It's just mindless sexy fun with cocks everywhere you turn. The editing isn't fabulous (typo or content-wise) but really if you just go into it for mindless sexy with a little heart it's still a fun read as the two best friends find the girl of their dreams.

Though if you really hate seeing a main hero or heroine having sex with someone else the opening scene on this one will bug ya. It's before they meet their heroine but, yeah, the guys have a random detailed hookup.

What a great read.
Kayla had just returned home after babysitting her friend on a night out. Stopping her from making mistakes.
But when she finally gets home, she has a few drinks after all it is the weekend! But in her drunken stupor she found the cigarette in her bag that she had taken away from her friend earlier. After lighting up Kayla fell asleep and when she next opened her eyes her flat was on fire!!
In comes Trent who picks her up and rescues her. Trent goes to visit her in hospital and before leaving as her out in a date?
Trent lives with Chase and they do everything together. Both firefighters and enjoy the company of a lady together. But they are getting tired of one night stands.
I don’t want to get the story line away but there are so many twist and turns in the book and the chemistry is off the chart fire hot!!!

Good in a way but also gross

What I didn't like - The disgusting way too intimate and way too graphic sex scene between the main guys and someone not the main girl. It was disturbing, and I'm extremely disappointed. And it took place 2 days before they met main girl. Now, I understand they did shortly after talk about wanting something real, but in a romance, this stuff does not belong. Label it erotica and give us trigger warnings. Don't just spring this on us once we've started a book. Let us find a book more to out taste, which will save us time and save you from a bad review.

What I liked - The overall love story was okay. I liked that grooming (in a sex predator sense) was a subject in this book, though I'm not sure if I liked the way it was. I think it was cool kinks were brought up and the difference was made clear between exploring them safely and abuse.

Overall - It wasn't a bad story, but it could have been better.

Smoke and Fire starts this series out, whit an interesting story about coping the past and moving on, with a happy-ever-after ending, and a twist. This book has a great lineup of characters with real life issues that readers can relate with and the backstory of the characters will hit the readers in the heart. Our heroin is healing a broken heart with trust issues and has escaped from traumatic events. Our heroes: two sexy hot and steamy firemen, one is sweet and caring, while the other is completely the opposite self-assured and self-central. These two-different heroes not only work they live together and make everything work. A fantastic story, dealing with a steamy MFM romance and a making for a great read, before the reader realizes it, they are close to the end of the story. I enjoyed reading this book as there is interesting insights into the world of MFM romance and relationships.

The next thing she knows Trent and Chase are firefighters putting out her apartment fire. She has no where to go and the two tell her she can stay with them until she can find out what to do. She doesn’t tell them the truth about what happened and she also has a dark secret that she’s keeping from them. When they guys pack up her apartment they find her secrets and wonder if they should tell her or wait for her to tell them. As they get closer they all three are together. Will it work out or will she have to tell them as there should he no secrets in a relationship?

Great Story, Trent and Chase save.Kayla from more than just a fire

Kayla, accidentally sets her apartment on fire and is rescued by a hot firefighter. Who offers her a place to stay. She just can't seem to say no.
Trent and Chase are firefighters with the same house. They are best friends, more like brothers, and roommates. They share just about everything. They are mid thirties and starting to think about settling down. Then enters their life.
Kayla has secrets. She has lied to Trent and Chase. When they find out, Chase jokingly tells her she deserves a spanking. There is nothing Kayla wants more. Chase and Trent are more than happy to give her what she wants. Then they learn her secret. They are determined to help her get her life back.
A sweet and steamy, older men young women MFM, romance. Light BDSM, spanking. Nice epilogue.

While the relationship growth between Kayla and her two firefighters Trent and Chase was oddly sweet, Kayla’s backstory and history was not.

Her experience with an older predator while she was just a teen, was disturbing and all to real. Knowing that there are men out there in reality, grooming and manipulating young women for their abuse, was definitely creepy.

Trent and Chase find what they are looking for in Kayla. And she is finally able to face her demons with the support of her two men.

Sexy ménage story with lots of steam but lots of potential painful triggers.

A good story with lessons to be learned. The main female character had an unusual background that necessitated her recreating herself and relocating. Through a mishap she meets two very alpha type males who help her out of a tight spot. A closeness develops between these three characters. The main female's past history is discovered by the two main male characters, who help the main female character face her demons of the past to enable her to move forward. These three do manage to attain their happy ever after.

Thank you Ms Callahan for another outstanding romance. Smoke and Fire is written beautifully with well designed characters that you will route for. Kayla, aka, Hannah, escaped from her small town home and relocated to lose herself in Chicago. After trying to bury a horrific past, everything is about to change yet again. Follow Kayla, Trent and Chase as they right a wrong as well as find their happily ever after. I hope that you love it as much as I did.

I know this is supposed to be a short reading, but can't help to love it so much! This is the type of short and insta-love reading I usually go to when I don't really in the mood for reading dark and suspense romance I usually go for.

As you guys notice in the cover and blurb of this book, yes this is a menage (M F M) book. While I don't have any complain about it like maaan +1 hot hero? Who would decline that?

I love the storyline, and it's fast paced since it's too short, but I enjoyed every single thing and maaan it's so hot 🔥 I think I need Trent and Chase to cool me down tho💦💦

Therefore, I really like this book and looking forward for more in the series!

I loved Trent and Chase. Their characters were all I would look for in a hot firefighter. Kayla was harder to like. She takes away her friend's cigarette at a bar when she is too drunk then goes home and gets drunk herself and decides to smoke that cigarette which lights her apartment on fire. It was hard to get past that. It seemed a little abrupt when suddenly she has a secret past. That said, the romance was hot and there was definitely some suspense and hot alpha male action. It was a fun easy read, great for vacationing or by the pool.

Wow, talk about heatng things up. This one interesting tales with all the drama, action, suspense and danger. The characters are well developed and believable.
