I am flabbergasted. The sniper is like Joker, in that his goal is to hurt the one Superman loves the most. Understandably, Batman assumes this to be Lois Lane, and they set up a trap for this villain together. However, what they didn’t figure out is that his target was Batman all along. “The one you confide in the most. The one who understands you the best. The one you’ll miss more than any other. When he dies…” Then, in DC fashion, they wallop you with that crazy romantic line and never address the event again. Typical.
