In a lot of trilogies I've read, the middle book is filler. Sex and dates but nothing really exciting till the cliffhanger. This book same thing IMO.
Adam Lawson and Mia Delaney are getting closer, fighting the walls both have up. Getting time with the kids and growing closer there too. While dealing with DeGennaro's. Honestly it was a slow read for me and I found myself skim reading to find the good stuff. Then at the end the boom is dropped and it makes me eager to see how this story will play out.
No, I can't tell you how it ends, you must read it. It isn't a bad read it is a good read but I just wished there was more action, less sex. Needed more angst!

LM Carr - Giving Up For You – does it again …
What can I say - but I have fallen more in love with Adam and Mia … In the continuation of this oh-so-intense love story – their romance evolves quickly into more than either of them had imagined.
Mia is happier than she has ever been and Adam’s love for the incredible woman in his life will make you melt … SEXY, SENSUAL & achingly SWEET.

OK I don't know where to start except if you haven't read Give In To You, you must cause this whole story is amazing. In Give In To You we see the start of Adam and Mia relationship, well in Give up for You we see them over come some battles, but there are still some left to fight and can they win. Mia loves Adam with all she is and adores his kids, but is her love enough, she knows that his battling his own demons but she feels something just isn't right especially when they are at a moment when they should be excited ready to move forward start a future. Adam has moments where he doubts himself when it comes to Mia, feels he's not good enough, but Adams loves fiercely and he'll do anything to protect Mia even if it means breaking her heart. When the truth is out can Mia forget and forgive or will she always have a part of Adam with her. When her secret is out, will Adam understand. I'll just tell you, I love LM Carr, her writing is amazing I felt like I was apart of the story, I felt every emotion and yes I cried, not going lie it's a tease cause there's more, I hope so much more, but it's so worth the read. Definitely a one clicker.

Adam Lawson and Mia Delaney were very much in love. Mia thought they were soul mates. Along with his children Maddie and Luke they were a family. Adam proposed to her on Christmas Day and Mia thought she would never be happier. Then things changed. Adam changed and he became cruel and drove Mia away. Mia was heartbroken and she didn't want to go on. If you read the first book you really need to read this one. I can't wait for the next one. This book does contain profanity and sex scenes so it isn't for all. The story is great and I loved it. I just hate to be left hanging

Mia and Adam continue their struggle to survive their romance. Unexpected circumstances break them apart and...Oh. My. God. I won't say anything else. Except read this book! It's romantic, sexy, heart wrenching and heart warming!

You want to know what really holds my attention in a book? Secrets, suspense, surprises...and I can’t forget about sex! This book had all of that and so much more. I really enjoyed the story and the depth of the plot line. The author took her time and made certain that all areas of the story were covered and little by little a very small puzzle piece would be revealed. Even after completing this second installment, I still don’t have the puzzle done…In fact I only have 1 corner completed. There are still so many missing pieces. I keep turning it this way and that way, but whenever I think a piece is going to fit, it doesn’t.
Adam broke my heart right along with Mia’s when he thought he was doing the right thing.
“So this is it? We’re done? I ask in a state of disbelief and shock.
“Yes.”
“You’re really just going to break up with me with no explanation?”
Yep…he did. He pulled the asshole card. Adam begged for a date, begged for a chance, begged her to marry him, and now he’s throwing her to the wayside. The right thing to do would have been to come clean and tell her the truth! The pain she feels was seeping through the pages. Adam isn’t faring any better, but he wanted this so let him feel like crap!! As much anger as I felt towards Adam, I also felt a tremendous amount of happiness reading such delicious angst. Adam makes a reappearance and although Mia is still heartbroken, she has found a way to move on. Will she forgive Adam?
“I know I’m a bastard for coming back, begging for another chance. Please forgive me.”
At the end of this second installment, any progress that Adam has made working his way back into Mia’s heart takes a detour. He makes a presumptuous mistake that I would in turn make him grovel for a very long time. It’s going to be interesting how he fares in book 3.

There is a range of emotion I felt in this book that can only be described as HOLY CRAP WHAT DID I READ AND WHY DID I LOVE IT?
I went from AWWW, and went all the way to F**K I WANT TO PUNCH SOMEONE and back again. And if that doesn’t attest to the writing skills of this author then nothing does. She was able to pull me so far into the story I ignored my children and my husband until I closed my Kindle and was able to return to my world again.
When everything seems to be going so well, and life seems perfect fate almost always will send in a speed bump to make sure we are paying attention to what is truly important. Sometimes that bump in the road just shakes the car, and other times it acts like a brick wall that will halt us in our tracks. And after we pass that obstacle we hope for smooth sailing, but sometimes there is a detour up ahead that is unavoidable.
So I think that about sums everything up without giving anything away… You will just have to read it to know what I am talking about. BUT you do need to know that this author is one you will want to look out for in the future. She has a writing style that will leave you wanting more at the end of each book!

No, No, No... what! Holy cliffhanger! In the best possible way, this book was a train wreck.
I had hints, I really did, you could just feel the suspense, tension, something building in Adam. He was off! I wasn't the only one, Mia could feel it. The danger, darkness, desperation.. something was there, something was up... amiss! The train has out of the station, they were enjoying the ride, some could say the train was flying down the tracks, but to Adam and Mia it was just perfect. Doom, danger they flared up, I thought I could see it coming, then BAM! The wreckage, the carnage, how do you recover from getting decimated. You feel like the air is sucked out of your lungs and you are sinking, going under, only live of close friends can pull you out of the carnage.
Did the conductor see something on the tracks causing the wreck that no one else has seen?
Probably seems like an odd review, but I don't know any other way but to describe my emotions in this book without giving anything away. That would ruin the book.
Great writing, emotionally drawing the reader in, getting us invested in these characters' lives, begging for more... waiting for November 17th.

This book had me on A rollercoaster of emotions I was happy, sad, mad, I couldn’t put this book down I read in two hours!!
Mia, Mia, my heart really goes out to her she has to deal with alot in this book I really love her character she still remains sweet, and caring through it all.
Then thier is Adam, well he is so different he goes through alot of changes in this book I just wanted to slap some sense into him you love to hate him and hate to love him I cannot wait to see were LM Carr, will take his character next!
I really enjoyed LM Carr, and her writting style just keeps you wanting more and more her characters and thier development are very well written I cannot wait for the next book in the seris.

This book was amazing! I didn’t think it was possible, but I enjoyed this story even more than the first in the series, Giving In To You. The roller coaster of a ride that is Adam and Mia continues where we’ve left off at the end of book one. LM Carr’s writing was so fantastic, captivating me from beginning to end!
This romance novel had plenty of sexiness, lots of anguish and mystery! Mia and Adam’s journey had me on the edge of my seat. There were several moments I wanted to throw my kindle, but hey, that’s what a great book is all about, right?
The road to happiness always has it’s ups and downs, and there were plenty! The end of Giving Up For You ended on a cliffhanger. I am counting down the days until I find out how their story ends! I need more Adam and Mia as soon as possible. Thanks for another wonderful story LM Carr!

LM Carr has done it again with another amazing read. I fell even more in love with Mia and Adam in this book. And at times hated Adam. But that ending... Gah can she leave you hanging. ready for the next book please!! :-)
If you have not read Giving in to you than you need to this book continues where it left off in Giving in to you and you see them grow in their relationship. This book gives you suspense with not knowing what is going to come next but it will also give you heartbreak.
I could not put this book down when I started it I had to know. I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. And of course it does and just had me dumbfounded on holy crap did that just happen.
Mia and Adam are perfect for each other but will they last? Or does one of them do something to tear them apart?

~ARC for an honest review~
Can I tell you that L.M. Carr has done it again! She managed to hook me in the very first few chapters and keep me engaged through the whole book. I loved Adam, I hated Adam, I loved Mia, I hated Mia. My heart broke for both of them and then slowly started to repair itself. This rollercoaster was one I wanted off of, only to get back on and sit in the front row. I thought Giving In To You left me in a book hangover, not nearly as much as Giving Up For You. This book still has my heart racing after finishing it hours ago. I will be sure to follow and read pretty much anything Ms. Carr writes!

This book had me all over the place with emotions. I went from happy and content, to down right giddy, only to have my heart shattered and then picked up. I was happy and then sad. It was such a roller coaster but I devoured it. The emotions were real and raw and captured perfectly. The story line is relatable and it flows easily from page to page. I'm looking forward to the conclusion of Mia and Adam's story. And I'm also looking forward to many more books from a very talented and amazing new author.

L.M. Carr makes you fall in love with Adam and Mia in the first book and then makes you love them even more in the second and makes you mad at them all at the same time.
I read this book in one day. I could not put it down even when I tried, which honestly I didn't try very hard because I HAD to find out what happens. Everyone should read this series if they love a story about a hunky man, a smart and beautiful women, and all the ups and downs of a whirl win love!!

What a journey.... At times you just want to say OMG what is wrong with him....
I carried my Kindle every where will reading this story in one of the OMG moments I put it down, then I sat on my kindle (Duh) and my screen got damaged. I scramble to my laptop turned it on. You know the process. I just had to finish the book. The story is that amazing. Now I need the next fix of Adam and Mia......

I received this for an honest review... To say that this series is great is understatement... This book is a serious cant put it down.
I am in love with this series and with Adam an Mia this is one of books that takes you on an emotional roller-coaster that you will not believe!!! I am so excited for the next book in this series I can barely wait for it!!!

Fantastic!!!
I absolutely love this book. Adam and Mia are wonderful and I need more!!! Not redundant or wordy, easy, fast read that keeps you glued to every page. Not liking the cliffhanger...Ugh...more waiting.

I don't know where to begin! I hadn't read the first book when I received the arc. This story is amazing!
Everything you are looking for in a romance novel.
Book 1 left us on a cliffhanger, thankful I had book 2 already to jump into!
Loads of emotions pulled from each direction!

OMG part 2 is just so amazing and intense! I love this story and find the twists and turns to be unpredictable which is fantastic! Adam and Mia have combustible chemistry and I am pulling for them so hard! They have been through so much it's crazy! I am so glad I didn't read this when it first came out because I would have absolutely hated waiting for each new book! Book 3 here I come! Fingers crossed that everything work out for this totally amazing couple!

Mia and Adam are living in their own little world with his kids and her dog. The love they have for each other is deep and they are sure nothing can come between them and break it. But life is full of surprises and some unexpected surprises show their face to question their commitment.
Adam suddenly is acting strange and being hurtful. Mia is determined to be tough and stick with him, but he is working hard to push her away. They continue to struggle with their relationship and soon find themselves away from each other.
The story is heart wrenching, especially when Adam’s kids are involved. Adam is stubborn and Mia is unwavering. They love each other, yet both have moments of doubt regarding their relationship, making them see things that shouldn’t be and causing them to make wrong choices.
The writing once again is great, pulling you into the story. You feel the emotions these characters experience and you want them to be together. The book ends on a cliffhanger that had me pulling my hair… once again, things are not like they seem and wrong actions might mess things up.

If i thought that i couldn't be more addicted to this book like i was with the first one, oh boy i was so wrong.
This book is more intense, heartbreaking, a rollercoster of emotions, no words would do the justice that it deserved. I leave you with this:
What will you do when you feel that the person you trust the most take the rug under your feet? Can you live with that or it's better to give up?
That's what Mia discover when her perfect family disapear. She had the perfect fiancee, the perfect kids and after one simple phone call everything was torn in cold blood. She don't wanna live anymore, what's the purpoise?
Until she finds out that she has one good reason to keep fighting.
Adam made the unthinkable off letting Mia go because he thought that his decision would be better for her, it would save her from him, until he saw her again and realize that he wants her back, hard. Is it possible to love again? To forgive and let it go? I can't wait to see what the other book will bring, but one thing is for sure LM Carr is one of my favirite writters. She's amazing.

~I was given a copy for an honest review~
First off, I'll by saying if you haven't read the first book then go buy it before you start this one or otherwise you'll be missing how they met and all the craziness that followed. Anyway, there's only one word to describe how I felt while reading this book....GUTTED. Talk about breaking a heart, Mia's basically got ripped out, stomped on over and over throughout this book. I felt like throwing my kindle and calling Adam every bad name I could think of. I know he has good reason for it but my God, did he turn into an awful horrible person....He has a lot to make up for...Mia is a strong character who has an amazing supportive friends that stay by her side especially when she finds out some unexpected news. Adam has some demons he has to battle but doesn't handle it well. This book has so many frustrating moments but then you throw in the moments with the kids and the attraction between them then it makes a all around fabulous book! I can't wait to jump into book 3 to see how Adam wins Mia back.. he's got his hands full now

Received an ARC for an honest review
I couldn't wait to get my hands on this and start reading about Mia and Adam again and I'm so glad I did!
This is the second book of LM Carr's "The Giving Trilogy" and she did not disappoint....again! I thought my emotions in the first book was crazy but this book had me up and down like a roller coaster. I wanted to hug Mia, she was strong and positive and then I wanted to punch Adam so bad, he was such a jerk. When I turned the last page and bam ....cliffhanger, LM Carr had my mouth hanging open for a few minutes. I said "HOLY BANANAS". I flipped the pages again thinking that there were more words written..... but there wasn't. Damn it!!!! Where is book three? I need it NOW...like right NOW!!
This book was really well written and you will not be disappointed. LM Carr is brilliant!! Can't wait for more of her books in the future!!

Loved getting back to Mia and Adam's story. I hate the way some of the things went for Adam and Mia but I cant go into details of what those things are because itll giveaway spoilers. Just know Adam does things for his children's safety and sometimes not what he feels is best is always right. He runs from what's standing right in front of him thinking he's doing right by his actions. I really love this series, its an emotional roller coaster that will rip your heart out but in the end all the drama has you biting your nails and not wanting to put the book down because you know something good is going to come out of it and you can't wait to see what's coming from each turn of the next page. I need to get to book 3 like now because the cliff hanger this books leaves you just makes you want more of Adam and Mia. And did I mention Adam is a total babe? Oh yeah he's the guy you want to keep all for yourself.
