WOW this so SPECTACULAR! What a fast paced well written creative read by Melanie James. This story shows how truly gifted Ms. James is. What a enjoyable entertaining story I couldn't put my reader down, it's a most exhilarating read. The interaction between the two main characters is fabulous as they spring to life with their steaming hot chemistry. The scene descriptions are so powerful and captivating That it kept me engaged with all of the mysterious attempts to keep this pack down. Calder Lorenson has inherited the Twisted Tail Pack. The pack is in trouble and it puts Calder into the limelight because he is now the Alpha and he can't trust the pack ranks either. Then the pack finds this old pack law decrees that he must be mated. Because Calder has no time to spare, he ask Gerri Wilder the famous matchmaker for help. In crashes Dr. Daisy and Gerri knows she is the perfect mate for the Alpha and the pack. Calder and Daisy passion is off the charts. This is a gripping suspense, danger, mystery, camaraderie, action packed, pent-up rage, emotions spiral, skyrocketing heart-throbbing sensual romance, and a melt your heart. I give it FIVE HEARTS easily! It gave me hot flashes throughout the story! I would recommend this to everyone who loves a steamy romance with a little humor thrown in it's a great story that I will read again and again! I voluntarily reviewed this book, because I love sharing my thoughts with my fellow readers.

Even on a deadline, Gerri is still able to come through and find mates.
I really enjoyed reading about Calder and Daisy. It was refreshing to get a chance to read about a character who doesn't know so much about shifters and have to learn and experience as she goes.
Although I was a bit sad that there wasn't too much background for the characters...
Daisy seemed to have no issues moving around does she not have family?
What did Calder do before he became alpha? Did he have to fight or did the previous alpha just die of natural causes.
There were just a few details that could've been added to make it feel like a complete story.

Allowed to run into fate

What an auspicious debut for this author into the PDA world. Gerri is once again put into a position to save the day, not just for these two, but for the pack that needs a chance to grow and rebuild. I enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read the next book by the author.

HIS TWISTED TAIL is a short and sexy story set in the Paranormal Dating Agency World, but also the first story in the series within that series Twisted Tail.

Calder has taken over as Alpha of the Twisted Tail Pack, and he has one headache of a mess to clean up after the actions of a truly evil former Alpha practically destroyed lives without thought or care. There is a lot of healing and leadership needed in this Pack and Calder is fine with providing that, it’s just going to take some time and his own actions to prove himself to his new pack members. He won’t tolerate any nonsense from them, but with several members of the Pack working against him he always has to have an eye on his back and the welfare of his people. Someone has dug up an ancient pack law that states that an Alpha must be mated in order to hold the position. Like Calder has the time to go searching for his mate, but a friend has another option for him.

Daisy is sick and tired of the men she dates letting her down and dumping her because she doesn’t fit their “requirements”. Why the heck did they even date her if all they wanted to do was change her? She’s taken a break from dating and focusing on her career as an ER doctor. One day she actually runs into a sweet little lady – inserts a hearty laugh at that description – one who has a love for coffee and pastry, and knows a bit about romance and finding just the right person. Gerri Wilder didn’t have to let herself be knocked down but she knew that Daisy needed her unique help, and she soon had the perfect man in mind for this skittish lady.

I enjoyed this quick story enough to plan on reading the entire “series within a series”. It’s fast and hot, and sizzling yet there are answers that I really wanted from Calder and Daisy which I hope I’ll find within the rest of the series. And for a good story, I’m willing to wait for those answers. One thing I will remind readers of, keep in mind Calder’s special gift, it might explain how some things happened so quickly. Overall I had a good time and I’ll be back for more.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Calder Lorenson and Daisy Parks. Calder is an alpha who find himself in need of a mate after people from his new pack try and push him out with an old law. He knew it was going to be somewhat of a battle after seeing the condition the old alpha had left the pack in. The problem he is finding is that he is constantly on alert waiting for the next attack to come. So when he finds out he must mate in the next 30 days or step down as alpha he doesn't know what to do. It isn't like he hasn't been looking for her. So when a friend suggests the Paranormal Dating Agency or PDA for short. He is skeptical but figures with Gerri's success rate he has nothing to loose. Can he get the woman of his dreams and still keep the pack or will he loose it all before he can even enjoy it?

Daisy is a restless ER doctor who was just out for a break one morning. When she (literally) runs into Gerri. Gerri knows that she as a shifter could have avoided the whole collision but there is something about this woman that she is supposed to meet her. So when she goes for coffee with her Gerri finally starts to realize what it is that is special about this woman. She was meant to meet her and send her to her latest client. Daisy is skeptical but figures a few days of vacation are exactly what the doctor order. However when she meets Calder she just knows this is something special. Can she find a way to get past her own insecurities to be with this man or will it all blow up in her face before they even have a real chance?

This is another short story in this series. Each of the book can be read as a stand alone the only reoccurring character in the series is Gerri Wilder. This book is amazing full of ups and downs. I really makes you want to find that perfect one to be with. There are so many things I want to tell you about this story but don't want to ruin any of the surprises for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

This was a very enjoyable story and works well, regardless of its short length. This is the first story I've read by this author and I liked it well enough I'll probably try more of her work in the future.

Daisy is an emergency room doctor that works a lot and has next to no life outside of work. Daisy is a BBW and had men try to shame her for her size so she stopped dating and buried herself in her work.

Calder is an Alpha werewolf that was recently put in charge of the Twisted Tail pack. The pack had a really bad Alpha for a long time so Calder is dealing with a lot of rebuilding (in a lot of different ways). Unfortunately, some of the holdovers from the old regime are determine to get Calder out and since they're too weak to challenge him, they find a law that says an Alpha has to have a mate within 30 days of taking the post, in an attempt to get him out.

Daisy is just starting a 2 week vacation when she runs into Gerri. They end up having coffee together and hitting it off. Although she's nervous about it, Daisy agrees to meet a shifter through Gerri's dating service. Calder learns of Gerri from a friend and contacts her for help in finding his mate in time to meet the deadline. Gerri arranges for Calder and Daisy to meet and things go well and move very quickly. There's a bit of an issue towards the end but it's dealt with quickly and the story ends with Calder and Daisy together and heading towards a HEA.

This was a very short story but it was still very enjoyable...you just have to keep in mind that it will be over quickly so not to expect a complex plot. Daisy was a good heroine and I liked how despite her nervousness, she took the chance on Calder. Calder was great...typical shifter that finds his mate and is automatically sweet and loving and possessive. Overall, I liked the characters and the story very much and would recommend it. :)

Love me Gerri and her PDA matchmaking way!

I like the shifter universe where Gerri exists has spread, allowing for other authors to use her and her PDA matchmaking services in their books, it's interesting to find a different writers style and see how well they work with given the rights to use that world to guide their story. I've read some books that totally miss the mark which is unfortunate given how cool a different writer could make their book if the didn't deviate from certain "if it's Gerri's world rule must apply..." Like ex instead a book where they used Gerri in reference but true mates didn't bond or exist in their world. . That book sucked but could have been good... Point being, I liked this book. Was it as fleshed out as the originals , no but better than a lot I've read lately that seem to waste the gift that is Gerri ha... I particularly like this authors spin on how a shifters "majic" existed and new ways it could work for them differently and with a variety of " gifts". I look forward to seeing more with that. As per the couple , they were both likable. Daisy and Calder were good together. I like Daisys character progression the most.

Another fantastic book in Paranormal Dating Agency (Kindle World Novella) His Twisted Tail by Melanie James unites the PDA with her Black Paw Pack series. Calder Lorenson is now the alpha of Twisted Tail, a pack with a bad reputation and that didn't take care of it's pack members. With all the stress to set them back on the right track, another blow has come his way. He has to find his mate in 30 days, or he'll no longer be alpha and the bad element will be back in charge. How is he going to do that with all the work he has to do? Will Gerri Wilder from the Paranormal Dating Agency be able to find his mate? Daisy Parks, an ER Doctor in the city isn't happy. Her work is stressful and all the men from her past have been far from kind, especially about her curvy figure. When fate literally has her bump into Gerri , could her fate finally change? I thoroughly enjoyed this novella, it was a fun, sexy read for an evening. I loved the connection between Calder and Daisy. With surprises I didn't see coming. I highly recommend reading it.

With Griffin out of the Alpha position at Twisted Tail now it's up to Calder or is it? There is evidently some kind of pack laws that require one thing. He must have a mate. And within what time frame? WHAT?

Daisy is finally having a much-needed vacation being an ER Doctor is fulfilling, but she needs a break. She literally almost runs over the lady who may just be who she has needed in her life, or at least she may help her on figuring out whom she needs.

Gerri Wilder is at it again in this tantalizing tale so get reading and find out what she is up to with these two.

This story is short, fast paced and easy to read. I read this book in one sitting and wasn’t once bored. I liked that Gerri knew there was something special about Daisy. I liked Daisy. I liked that she gave love a chance and agreed to date a shifter. I also liked that Daisy and Calder instantly clicked, she accepted his wolf. I liked that Calder was still helping his new pack despite the danger they were causing.
I loved that Daisy saved her mate’s life. Not only did she use her doctor skills to pull the bullet but she also took the danger out that was trying to stop her from saving Calder.
My only question/confusion is; how did Daisy know that the chief was going to try and kill her and Calder? He said his name, Calder mentally told her to run and the next minute she was ripping the chiefs throat out?
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read.

A novella-length book that was enjoyable to read. There were a few gaps but I could make some assumptions and fill some of them in myself. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

He's been told he needs to find a mate in 30 days otherwise he no longer Alpha. He calls Gerri Wilder of the Paranormal Dating Agency to help find him a mate. She just happens to know of someone, Daisy Parks, an ER doctor and also human. She happens to have bad luck with men, they don't seem to like her curvy body (they consider her fat!). She meets Gerri Wilder who tells her she should date a shifter and she has just the one in mind. Daisy has never known any shifters before. Now will these two hit it off and will Calder remain as Alpha? Read and find out for yourselves.

Melanie James hits another out of the park! One of the reasons I read Melanie James’s books is because she manages to inject humor into the most difficult of situations. New Alpha Calder Lorenson is being forced to find a mate to satisfy some archaic law dug up by his enemies. In an effort to find a mate he can be happy with he calls Gerri Wilder’s PDA.
Dr. Daisy Parks is an ER doctor with no life outside work to speak of. When she literally bumps into Gerri Wilder she doesn’t yet know that she is about to enter the adventure of a lifetime. Now all they have to do is survive it.
A fun twist with action, adventure and love wrapped up in one sweet tale.

Gerri Wilder strikes a winning match--again!

Calder is the new Alpha a of a Twisted Tail wolf pack. The previous Alpha was mean and did terrible things to his own people and nearly destroyed pack and lands. Some of his minions remained and Calder knew it was only a matter of time before they tried to take him down. The first thing they did was look up an old law and take it to the council to enforce--he had 30 days to secure a mate. An old friend sent him to Gerri Wilder's Paranormal Dating Service. She sent him a young ER doctor. They were Fated Mates, though she was human. It is a great story with twists and turns, as are all Paranormal Dating Agency books.

Excellent read!

I love shifter books, author Melanie James did not disappoint me! I found this book to be well written and the characters well developed. Even though this was a short story the author gave us the right amount of backstory so that the story didn't become repetitive. I love the matchmaking idea for the shifters, that shifter is using her gift wisely. I love how honorable the hero, Calder, is. Taking on a broken pack is a big job and making that pack better isn't an easy task. If you enjoy shifter stories with love at first site sexy time, this is one for you!

Calder has taken the Alpha position for the long-abused Twisted Tail Pack. And instead of challenging him directly, the old-timers take a side-ways shot at him. He must find a mate withing 30 days or lose the position.

Daisy runs, literally, into Gerri Wilder of the Paranormal Dating Agency. And agrees to make a trip to Twisted Tail to try her hand at dating a shifter.

This story is a wonderful example of Ms. James' fun and frisky stories about shifters and their mates. Solid 5-star read.

Calder thought being the Alpha of Twisted Tail sounded great, and expected there would be challenges but what he found was the territory to be in a state of despair.
The Council has given him thirty days to find a mate or forfeit his position of alpha and of course he can't leave the pack territory.
Daisy an ER doctor on a two week vacation runs into Gerri who talks her into dating a shifter. Being a doctor has its perks, with inquisitive mind that wants to learn and find answers. So she agrees to go on a long weekend to get to know her shifter and possibly her forever mate?

This is another fab addition to the Paranormal Dating Agency kindle world series! I really liked the characters: Calder was a strong and caring alpha who ends up having it bad for his fated mate Daisy. Daisy, a human ER doc, has no luck with dating and literally bumps into Gerri from PDA. Well, Gerri gets her sorted and sparks sure fly when Calder comes across Daisy having a bath in his tub. Good fun! This book is full of smoking hot romance, humour and action. Loved it!

Furtastic read

Very well written. Calder is an Alpha who has taken over the territory of a deceased abusive alpha and not every one is happy about it. Gerri the PDA guru runs into Daisy a BBW and ER doctor who has not had any luck with relationships. She soon finds herself in Twisted Tail to meet Calder. While getting to know one another a crises arises sending them both to the scene. Little did they know danger beyond the crisis lurks. Read the book to find out what ensues.

An awesome introduction to the pack of Twisted Tail - under new leadership and rebuilding itself after misguided control. Headed up by Calder, this pack will survive only if a Mate stands by his side and soon.
A chance crossing of paths has Dr Daisy heading to Twisted Tail for a blind date and week long break. Chance is a fine thing especially when mixed with witty conversation, fabulous rapport and an unexplainable feeling of connection.

A cute story, fast paced and sweet. I loved this little book! It was a fast paced, easy to read, and well written story. Daisy just need a push from Gerri Wilder to find her perfect mate. Calder was desperate but willing to do what needed to be done for his new pack. The story moves quickly once it gets going, and the characters are easy to get behind. It was a cute story that was fun to read in a short amount of time!

Who Ya Goin' To Bump Into.......

Gerri Wilder that's who, if she wants you too! Poor Daisy has no idea who she just knocked down and her life is about to take a turn for the better too. No more Emergency Room for this Doctor once ahe get to Twisted Tail!

Calder has 30 days to find his mate, or he's not going to be alpha anymore.....30 days! He was gifted with special majic, but even he can't whip up that kind of magic....

What a fun paranormal book this was.

I loved how Daisy was semi clueless about shifters. I especially liked the scene with her and the matchmaker where she finds out she is talking to a shifter.

I felt bad for Calder. He is a good man who is trying to right a wrong. He is trying to help a pack that has been beaten down. However there are a few that like the old way and will do whatever they can to stop Calder.

New author for me and I like her!

This is a book that I enjoyed reading. The descriptive abilities of the author impressed me, she was able to let me "see" what I was reading and that's important to me. I'm thrilled that The PDA and the wonderful Gerri Wilder are open for different authors to employ. Good characters, an interesting story, and Gerri's majick touch come together in a book that I enjoyed reading.

The power of a mate

The pack is in disarray and almost destitute. Through work of the council steps are taken to help get them back on their feet. Gerri sends the Alpha his mate, which shocks the both of them. Wicked men still exist in the pack though and try to put the Alpha down.

Pda standalone

This is my first read of the new pda standalone. If you haven't read the pda books do it. Anyways, a great read, as always the main characters are both stubborn and don't want to believe in true love. In the end they do, but have adventures in the book to find it. Awesomeness at it's finest.

First read of this author

This was my first read of this author and it was enjoyable. I am fascinated with Gerri Wilder and the PDA so reading a different author in this Sassy Ever After World was inevitable. This was a good first story about the Twisted Tail pack and its new Alpha Calder. The only really different part was the mating results.
