Bard didn’t hesitate to run from his old pack when his best friend needed him. His feral years were hard and even a tough gamma would rather live in a pack—so long as it is a good one led by an honorable alpha. The Rogue Pack proves to be the perfect new home for him to make his life. The only thing he lacks is a mate, and he has fought his attraction to the exquisite omega, Loki, for a while. When he is charged with Loki’s care, he is both elated and frustrated. He doubts the brat will ever see him as anything other than a captor.
Loki doesn’t understand why his brother forced him to leave their birth pack. No one who knows the answer is willing to tell him. That includes Bard, the annoyingly bossy and always right gamma who has dominion over him. Thwarted from returning to his arctic home, Loki takes his misery out on Bard in the form of bratty behavior. The sad thing is that he wants nothing more than to be happily mated and raising a family with a virile male like Bard. He simply can’t let go of his resentment toward those who keep him essentially a prisoner in the Rogue Pack.
The test of wills between Bard and Loki is coming to a head. Loki is no longer a pup. He’s becoming a mature omega and his heat is imminent. Bard will do anything to keep the boy safe, but when Loki refuses to be bred, Bard faces a terrible decision. The course he chooses may forever doom his growing love for the omega.

Finally! Thank the smut God for this series picking up again. 😁 I looooove this series, in fact, this is one of my favorite shifters mpreg series. 😌 But there’s no denying that I didn’t like the 5th and the 6th book in the series mainly because of one main character. And now, I’m officially loving this series so much again. 😍 We all remember bratty omega Loki from the previous books and finally, he’s becoming an adult and entering his first heat. And then comes Bard into the picture. I know that they are going to end up together from the previous books and that’s a major difference from the other books in the series. Usually only character is already familiar to the readers and a new character is brought in to match with him. In this story, it’s the art of knowing the endgame interesting, and enthralling and capturing. And Samantha Cayto more than delivered it. 👏 This book is everything I expected and not what I expected at all. Not heavy on the smut that much although when they got to it, it was super erotic, this book is more heavy on the emotions and the storyline. ☺️ My heart broke a bit for Loki for his terrible past and burst with happiness when he finally found love in the end. Bard is a sweet sweet mate who loves Loki with all his heart and wanted to shelter him from the ugly truth of the world. It was not easy for both of them to find an even ground but they managed it. 😌 And I’m hating Samantha Cayto a bit for being such a minxy tease. 😂 Lots of new characters are introduced at the end of this book and I can’t freaking wait to get to their stories. 😱 This book truly was satisfying, sexy and enjoyable. I hope there will be at least a dozen more books coming in this series. 😍
4.5 Loki is Bard’s beloved spoilt brat stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
I struggled to connect with both main characters in this instalment, Bard especially. The plot felt a bit too similar to previous books, bordering on repetitious in certain scenes.
However, the Rogue Pack series as a whole is one of the best shifter series I've read and Samantha Cayto is one of my auto-buy authors, so fingers crossed the next book in this series will be more to my liking.
Loki was really unlikable. I had hoped there would be some redeeming qualities to his general brattiness. Perhaps there is one later in the book but I just don’t think I can hold out so long to reach that part of the story. So...guess this is as far as I go for this book ☹️
I am a KU reader. I have read this series from the beginning. And I will continue till the end. I just love them all. Each one has left me a little teary eyed. But I really felt bad for Loki. I know he was a brat in other books, saying things that hurt others feelings and such. However, I think he has been on the run so long he didn’t learn social graces. Plus, he is homesick and feels he has no choices or control in his life. I also feel he has a little bad luck. Sometimes he gets in trouble for things he didn’t mean to do, but they all think he is a brat and put others in danger on purpose. Ugh, and if anyone made me drink milk all the time, they would find it poured on their head at some point
By far my favorite installment in the series thus far! Loki and Bard were my favorite kind of couple, the bratty omega and the overbearing dominant gamma. Gah!
This book was a bit longer than the previous installments which allowed some extra wiggle room for the author to develop her ideas. I think it's part of why overall I was able to enjoy this book more than the others, the plot was fast-paced still though and exciting!
That tease at the end made me VERY curious for the next book, Alpha Graydon sounds so goddamn hot I need to read his book RIGHT NOW. I highkey hope the author is planning to give his pack a series of its own, a spin-off perhaps, because the sound of almost-feral, huge, naked men that can shift into massive wolves and still live in caves likes beasts sounds... uhhhh, right up my alley?!?!?! *wink wink*
Readable but not much action, which some might like instead of the roller coaster some of the others have been. I like the Loki character and his pre-bred self went with his name.
It is good to see the story between Loki and Bard unfold because we have waited for it. I always enjoy the books in this series but Loki is a difficult character - I imagine as difficult to write as he is for the reader to embrace. It took a lot for me to come to terms with the character but it did happen in this book, albeit near the end. Bard is a lovely character.
The author does a really good job of explaining why Loki is how he is and leading the reader to come to terms with his antics. I just struggled to find him worthy of Bard. Still, my concerns with a character do not change that the story was well told or that the book is well done.
Trigger Warning - Forced Mounting (This is very important for readers to note. If you are familiar with the series, then you will understand the medical issues at play, but it is still an issue for readers to consider before diving into this book.)
I always wondered what Loki’s story will be like, and I’m happy to know it’s ends with a HEA. Loved reading this books, enjoyed it thoroughly. The plot is great. It has drama, action, romance, some humor and low angst. Definitely recommend this book who live a good plot.
Loki and Bard finally got their story!! I loved this one, Loki just needed a mate that could appreciate his snark and love him more for it, and Bard is his wolf! Now I’m super excited to see where the next few books go, as I really want Ryan’s book and now Ethan’s book to look forward to. This series is one of my favorites among the mpreg shifter genre.
I like this writer. This work has good story telling and I liked the characters. The thing that makes me cringe us when an omega is referred to as a boy.
It's been wonderful to read about the progression of the Rogue Pack up to book 7. Loki has been a brat to say the least. The reason why they went from their old pack to the Rogue Pack is finally told to him, after being a secret for years. Bard has always loved Loki. Being in charge of him has put him in a hard position, but it's bittersweet being so close and not being able to touch him. Circumstances happen to bring them together to a HEA!
when you steal you're younger brother from his beloved home to save his life, you better tell him why... better he knows the truth then hate you without knowing why. Oh, and don't forget to bring the best friend who's been in love with your younger brother since he could walk... that will help a lot with how angry your younger brother will be with you when he finds out the truth.
The whole series was mediocre at best. Until this one, I was intrigued enough to continue and ignore the subpar writing. But I couldn’t ignore it anymore! This combined with the unreasonable brat, bad plot, and repetitive “struggles” of the omegas and their mates, it was a freakin’ struggle to get to the halfway point.
I have really enjoyed this series of m/m books about a pack of shifters who have battled through bad situations with their home packs and have formed a pack that is kinder and more progressive. Lots of fun to read.
I do love a good character growing into himself story and this is Loki's. Really, who would name a baby Loki and think he would be shy and obedient? Duh!
This series just gets better and better. God, I never want it to end❤️ IM SO DAMN EXCITED ABOUT THE OTHER VISITING PACKS AND ETHAN AND GRAYDON!! Off to reading more!
