Can love triumph over hate?

In the Year of Our Lord 1497, an estimated fifteen thousand rebels march from Cornwall to London to protest the King’s taxes levied to pay for the war against the Scots. Lady Senara Arscott is a Cornish born beauty caught in the games men play. After her father and her fiancé revolt against the Crown, her family is stripped of its heritage, its fortune, its home, and its title. To reinforce His Majesty’s political connections, she is forced to wed the enemy, a man known only as De Wolfe.

When untrained and poorly armed revolutionists confront the Sire’s professional soldiers at the Battle of Blackheath, one man, a fierce warrior, claims countless lives in the heat of conflict. The firstborn of Titus and Desiderata, Arsenius De Wolfe successfully defends the realm and is rewarded with a new title, an estate, and a highborn wife. In short, Arsenius wins everything Senara lost, but can he claim her heart?

Barbara Devlin was born a storyteller. A Texan, through and through, Barbara hasn’t been without a book in her possession since she was in kindergarten. She wrote her first short story, a really cheesy murder-mystery, in high school, but it was a Christmas gift, a lovely little diary with a bronze lock, given to her in the fifth grade that truly inspired her love for writing.

After completing part of her undergraduate studies at the University of London, Barbara returned home and began a career in banking. But the late 80’s weren’t too promising for the financial industry, and every bank that hired Barbara soon folded. So she searched for a stable occupation, and the local police department offered the answer to her prayers.

Initially, Barbara wasn’t too sure about her new chosen career in law enforcement, but she soon came to love being a police officer. However, on an uncharacteristically cold and icy day in December 1998, Barbara was struck by a car and pinned against a guardrail while working an accident on a major highway. Permanently disabled, she retired from the police department and devoted her time and energy to physical therapy.

Once Barbara got back on her feet, she focused on a new career in academia. She earned an MA in English, continued on a course of study for a Doctorate in Literature and Rhetoric, started writing historical fiction in her spare time, and completed five full-length novels featuring her fictional knighthood, the Brethren of the Coast. Book six is currently in the works.

(Heirs of Titus de Wolfe Book 2)

It's the year 1497 and an estimated fifteen thousand rebels march from Cornwall to London to protest the King's taxes levied to pay for the war against the Scots.
Lady Senara Arscotts family is on the losing end of the protest and all have forfeited and given away by the king. She is a Cornish born beauty and she's all caught up in the games that men play. Now that her family is stripped of their heritage, their fortune, and titles she has been given away in marriage and forced to marry the enemy, a man known only as De Wolfe.

When untrained and poorly armed revolutionists confront the Sire's professional soldiers at the battle of Blackheath, one man, a fierce warrior, claims countless lives in the heat of conflict. Arsenius de Wolfe successfully defends the realm and is rewarded with a new title, an estate, and a bighorn wife. Arsenius wins everything Senara lost, but can he claim her heart? Can they work through the conflict together to become one? If they do can he win over her people as their new lord?

Barbra Devlin writes a great novella that gives you more insight into the de Wolfe's life. I really enjoyed it and the story line was wonderful. I give this story four stars.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
💋💋
I really adore this small series from Barbara Devlin , so inspired.
The offspring of Titus DeWolfe can’t do any wrong in my eyes , they fight , live and love just as I expected them to , everything done with grit and honour.
Arsenius DeWolfe son of Atticus finds his true love at the behest of the king .
Senara ( what a beautiful name ) is his prey , whether she likes it or not , what the king says goes .
The two build their relationship and it wonderfully written, it makes it so easy to imagine these two young people finding their way .
Get tissues ready , if your a softie like me you may shed a tear at the end.
Your going to have to read it to find out why .
Highly recommended!

After I read book 1, I was looking forward to the rest of this series. Another fierce De Wolfe hero, Arsenius, the son of Titus and Desiderata. Lady Senara is left bereft when he father lost everything he owned by working with the wrong side against the Crown. She is offered to Arsenius as a bride for his loyalty and defense on the battlefield by the King. Senara has not choice to marry and they both will have to make their way.
So can these two be happy and make a life together? I really enjoyed these two characters and the trials they went through. This was another great story that you do not want to miss.
Cannot wait for the third book in this series!!

I enjoyed this 2nd story written by Barbara Devlin in the De Wolfe Pack World.

Here we have Arsenius De Wolfe, the firstborn son of Titus and Desiderata, from Lone Wolfe. He is also the grandson of Titus de Wolfe, the first and the nephew of Atticus and Isabeau de Wolfe from Lion of the North.

Arsenius and his cousin Atticus, are both rewarded with lands for their current service to the King, but that is not all. Much to their dismay they are also rewarded with forced arranged marriages. There were several laugh-out-loud moments between these to during battle, when they found out their new dates and when they are waiting to meet their brides. These two cousins are hilarious.

Lady Senera Arscott has found out that her current betrothal has been canceled and now she's been given to another in an arranged marriage by the King. She must do her duty for her family who has been stripped of everything. Their lands, titles and business have been given to the enemy. An enemy, who she is now forced to marry. She is a little bit of a fiery woman, but she has promised her father to keep her mouth shut.

To Arsenious, she comes across as a meek woman...what a wrong perception, which he will find out soon enough.

Her ex-fiance is not willing to give up either.

I loved the way their relationship developed throughout! I look forward to Titus' story next.

Arsenius DeWolfe is a valiant warrior and the King has rewarded him with land and a Cornish bride after the battle they won against the Cornish rebels protesting the King’s taxes levied to pay for the war against the Scots. Lady Senara Arscott family is stripped of its heritage, its fortune, its home and given to the King’s favorite her new husband. Her father has told her to be meek and mild, hold your tongue and all will be well for that is what’s expected of a lady. I love this story Serara is a strongly opinionated heiress who stands up to Arsenius which this just intrigues him even more. He wants to marry a woman who’s not afraid to speak her mind, to be a help mate and be by his side in every way. Now he just needs to convince her they are perfect together and hopeful he can find a love to last a life time like his parents and other family members. This is my honest opinions after I voluntarily read a copy of this book that was provided to me with no requirements for a review.

Must Read!

I truly liked this story, that progresses from Titus, The Duke of Ausborn, and Desi's oldest son. Arsenius , with his cousin Titus, defeat a Cornish uprising, detrimental to Henry the VII. After killing almost three hundred men together, the two cousins are given lands, and brides, from the opposing forces. However, Lady Serena, already bethrothed to a childhood friend, is angry with the Kings decision! She isn't in love with her fiancee', nor does she want to marry s warrior, who has conquered her people, taken the home of her parents, and been given her father's title of Earl. Her ex fiancee,' is not willing to let her go. Does he truly believe that he can over throw a de Wolfe? Yes he does. We shall see!
I highly recommend! Thanks! Enjoy!

Arsenius Titus de Wolfe, son of Titus and Desiderata, has just emerged victorious in this battle. The people in are feeling as if they are bearing a heavy tax burden with no foreseeable end to the wars. Arsenius has been given an Earldom and a wife for his heroism. Neither of which was wanted. Senara Arscott has been waiting for her betrothed, Petroc, and her father to return from the war. Senara must overcome her distrust of the king’s choice for her husband. Her father has been stripped of his heritage and must divulge the secrets of their livelihood. Can Senara and Arsenius find love in this land of distrust and deceit? I love all the books written by Ms. Devlin. You will enjoy this installment of the “Heirs of Titus de Wolfe”.

If you need a quick book to read in one sitting, perhaps before bed, this is an absolutely fabulous story about Titus De Wolfe’s son, Arsenius. Continuing the De Wolfe saga with the heirs of William De Wolfe, Barbara Devlin showcases her well honed talent as a very creative and reputable writer! Her characters are very well thought out and refined while the development of her stories always provide a flurry of excitement. This is a must read if you enjoy reading about the De Wolfe family, their adventurous escapades, disappointments, humor, experiences with love and loss, as well as their staunch family integrity. I throughly enjoyed this one. Barbara Devlin never disappoints.

Always a great read

Barbara Devlin does it again with another romance and the ability to have sensual scene without being too graphic. I don't mind graphic details but it's nice that a book can engage you without those images.

World of de Wolfe Pack: The Big Bad De Wolfe (A Kindle Worlds Novella) (Heirs of Titus De Wolfe Book 2) by Barbara Devlin. What an exciting and enticing Medieval Romance set in 1487 England.
This Novella is the story of Lady Senara Arscott and Arsenius De Wolfe, the firstborn of Titus and Desiderata, De Wolfe. A part of the Kindle Worlds , look for Book 1, "Lone Wolfe", the story of Arsenius's parents, Titus and Desi.

Well written with enticing, intriguing and utterly fascinating characters. The storyline is not only, unique, but fast paced with twists and turns the reader won't see coming. Treason, political intrigue, secrets, passion, challenges and finding a HEA, makes Arsenius and Senara's story fantastic! As well as a bit of humor thrown into the story, or to me, anyway. A Novella packed full of deliciousness with a satisfying ending. I absolutely love Ms. Devlin's stories! She never disappoints me. She's a fantastic storyteller, who draws the reader in and holds them in utter awe. Captivating and seductive Medieval Romance! A must read!
