*Note: this review will contain minor spoilers for book 1. If you have not read Seduce yet, you can check out my review of it HERE*

3.5/5

Savor is the second book in the new adult paranormal romance series, called the Succubus Kiss Series. You do need to read this series in order, but the prequel novella is currently free, so grab it and give it a try! Seduce and Savor are each really quick reads and Savor picks up right where Seduce left off, so you can read them back to back in about a day. I loved how many paranormal creatures there were in the first book, and in this book we get to add even more to the mix. You might recall from my review of Seduce that I loved that the city had four main supernatural nightclubs and each one was centered around catering to another paranormal type. In Savor we get to journey to a new one of the clubs, called Potion #9, the witch night club. I love the different atmospheres that Jennifer Snyder describes in each of the clubs.

Our whole gang of characters needs to ask a certain witch for help. At the end of the first book, Kenna was infected with a wraith. And in Savor she is trying her hardest to get rid of it. Wraiths are pretty deadly so the pace of Savor was very fast and kind of frantic as they rushed to try and save Kenna. The wraith made this book feel darker. The dreams really creeped me out. I would hate it if I knew every time I went to sleep, this awful nightmare (that was real!) was waiting for me. I felt really bad for Kenna, but the dreams really added to the atmosphere of the book.

Savor is a super quick read, and was a good second book to the Succubus Kiss series. We got to know more about Randal and Sage, both of whom seemed like mysterious and guarded characters in the first book. They still are, but we are slowly learning more about their pasts. And Jennifer Snyder has more than a few twists and turns up her sleeve in Savor. I didn't see the ending coming at all. It does leave things hanging, so beware of that, but the books have been coming out in pretty quick succession, so hopefully we won't have to wait too long to see what is going to happen next. The Succubus Kiss series is a great one for fans of paranormal romances that feature a variety of paranormals. It is a quick, fun read.

The synopsis pretty much sums up what this book is about, so I am just going to dive right in and let you know my thoughts. Savor, the second book in the Succubus Kiss series, was so much fun to read! Things are certainly getting more intense as Kenna struggles with the evil wraith that has begun to take over her soul and her mind. She is beginning to have some intense nightmares, all thanks to Mr. Wraith. In these dreams, he communicates with Kenna letting her know exactly what he has in mind for her.
“Make no mistake, sweet succubus. You are mine now.”

I’m not going to lie; the wraith scares the crap out of me!

Kenna is such a strong character who I really like. Even though she has been thrown into the life of a Succubus and her soul basically being sucked away by the nasty wraith, she remains strong and determined. Nope, there is no crying or whining on this girl’s part – she is out to kick some major evil butt! With Randal and Dex by her side, I know that she will overcome any obstacles thrown at her. There is a new character introduced in this installment and her name is Lexy, and I think she adds a magical touch to this story. I can’t wait to find out more about her and really hope that she and Dex get together.

Jennifer Snyder once again left me hanging at the end of Savor, but I forgive her because I know the next book will be just as good if not amazing. The ending left me craving the next installment of this interesting and captivating series and I am waiting anxiously to see how this story plays out and what fate awaits Kenna. This compelling series has all the right ingredients that make it an engrossing and engaging page-turner that is a must read for any fan of paranormal romance.

I enjoyed getting to continue reading about these characters. Sage wasn't really present throughout this book. I'm still not sure how I feel about her. Randall is growing on me. Then there is Dex and yeah, he's just a great character.
This book introduced a new character that I can already tell I'm going to love. Kenna and Randall finally have a little smexy time in this installment.
I didn't like how the format of the book was the same as the first one. The story kind of went along, not a lot of action, and then, at the end, the book built up and just stopped. It was sort of a let down. I wanted to see a resolution from the first book still.
There are still so many questions that need answered. I hope book 3 comes out soon and that it resolves some of the problems. This book gets 4 glittery stars!

I have received an ARC copy of of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review.

I love Jennifer's books. They are are different and pull you in straight away. The previous part of the series was a well written story, but this one is so much better. It's hot, steamy and guys are drool worthy. But first thing first....

Savor is the second part of the series about Kenna, a succubus with a heart. The book starts with Kenna being trapped in a nightmare. And I have to tall you, that the descriptions of all those nightmare gave me shivers. And I felt cold. My imagination was working way too well for me during them. We learn from the first part that Kenna was infected with wraith, a being that sucks life out of her and also takes over her body, conscious, actions... She is terrified, but there is a hope. Her mother again leaves her a note, with a possible solutions. Or rather a name of a person who might be able to help her. She decides to visit the mysterious owner of a club called Love Potion #9 and learns there that it's not the owner, Luke Bloom who is able to help her, but his sister, Lexy. The only problem is...Lexy stopped practising magic...no one knows why... But Kenna is determined to find Lexy and asked her for help. So her journey begins, and she is joined by Randal and Dex *swoon*. After she finds Lexy and learns what it takes to perform the spell, she is not sure if she is able to do it.

Savor is a brilliant fast paced story, that gets more and more sexy, but also has the danger, revenge, hate, love and friendship in it, which I just adored!

About the characters:

I like Kenna, she is fun protagonist and I like that she is not all about seduction and feeding. There is something more and that makes her likeable.

Randal. He is supposed to be the main protagonist for the male role. But let me tell you that: I was not happy with him at the beginning. After he left Kenna after she got infected in previous part, I was not happy Bunny with him. He lost some brownie points, but fortunately he got them back.

Sage. I don't know why, but she makes me angry. She is too selfish. I preferred her more in previous book. Here she is not really keen to help Kenna. And she doesn't have to do much. Hopefully she will be better next time!

Dex. OMG! THIS IS IT! He is hot, sweet and I love him! Kenna doesn't want him, so I can take him. Gladly! I hope Jennifer will decide to write a short story (or a long story, I will take anything) about him. I would love to see his POV. <3

Well written, with only few mistakes, story that left me wanting so much more! Well deserved 4.5 Stars!

Savor picks right up where Seduce left off. Kenna has been infected by a wraith that is getting stronger each and every day. It's invading her dreams, well I guess nightmares would be more accurate, and it's slowly starting to control her when it comes to feeding.

After a visit from her mom at the end of Savor, Kenna heads to Love Potion #9 in hopes of finding someone who can rid her of the wraith. Though Luke was the name her mom mentioned, it turns out that his sister Lexy is who Kenna really needs. The problem? Lexy stopped practicing witchcraft years ago and moved away.

Sage isn't in this one quite as much as the first one and I'm still not exactly sure how I feel about her at this point, but Kenna's human bestie Bree shows up and puts a definite wrench in their plans to find Lexy and get rid of the wraith once and for all.

Luckily, we get to see more of Randal in Savor, and while he's still somewhat of a mystery, his feelings for Kenna really started to show, which was nice to see. In the beginning I was still rooting for Dex, I'm not gonna lie, but towards the end I was definitely rooting for Randal and Kenna to get their HEA.

There is still a lot up in the air for Kenna at this point, and that twist at the end? Totally didn't see that coming. Needless to say, I'll definitely be reading the next book when it comes out.

Kenna Blake returns in book two of the Succubus Kiss series. As you can guess from the series name, Kenna is a succubus. Book one left off where Kenna was infected with a wraith. It's pretty much trying to take control of her and will quickly kill her if she is not able to figure out how to get it removed. She finds a note from her mother one morning that points her in the direction of Luke Bloom, the owner of the club Love Potion #9. It's a hot witch club that leans towards the naughty, with spelled drinks. Kenna and her friends head there only to find out Luke is not able to help, but he knows someone that would be able to, his sister. The only issue is that she's been MIA and not doing magic for 5 years. With time ticking down, Kenna has to find Lexy and somehow convince her to help remove the wraith before it kills her.

Savor is a fast paced adventure with engaging characters. I enjoyed seeing the vampire hunk from book one in this installment. I wanted more face time with him and I got it in book two. I like that there's a nice mix of paranormal in the series, succubus, witches, weres and vampires. It's well rounded and not just focusing on one specific type of paranormal. Savor does leave off where I'm dying to know what happens next. So I already know book three is going to be a must read for me. I suggest this series if you're looking for a succubus read!

Savor (Succubus Kiss #2) by Jennifer Snyder Savor begins where Seduce left off, trying to find a cure for, Succubus Kenna Blake, who has been infected by a wraith.

I like that Kenna is not your typical succubus.  She is concerned for others, even her prey.  She is a good person that doesn’t deserve to suffer by being plagued by a wraith.

I appreciated that vampire, Randal Vincent, shows a lot of support for Kenna in this story.  He wants to do what he can to help free Kenna.  He doesn’t want to lose someone else he cares about to the same faith as his sister.  I felt bad that he has to relive his nightmare of his sister lose.

We meet a couple of new witches in this story.  Even though they are siblings, they are two very different people.  I enjoyed the contrast of their personalities.

A lot of interesting things happen in Savor. For example, we find out why Kenna was targeted by the wraith.  The plot was intense and entertaining.

I felt bad for poor Kenna.  Just when you think, things are looking up for her, she is hit with more bad news.  I cannot wait to see what happens in the next novel.

There is no time lapse between the end of Seduce and beginning of Savor, so we are immediately pulled back into Kenna’s nightmare, as she attempts to fight the wraith that has invaded her body. Jennifer Snyder ensures that we sympathise with Kenna, who now not only has to feed to satisfy the Succubus side of her self, but also the parasite.
Whilst the wraith feeds on Kenna’s energy and its power increases, she searches for the witch who can help to exorcise her. On this search, she is supported by Dex, Randal and Sage, although the female vampire’s presence is less than in Seduce. My hope is that Sage may get her own spin-off story!
Dex is not a character who is essential to the story’s development, but he does provide an element of fun and light-heartedness, which is needed considering Kenna’s demise.
Despite her struggle, Kenna’s relationship with Randal flourishes. He is definitely charming, but I think he is too bland to be really likeable.
Jennifer Snyder balances the malevolence with sexual passion and introduces new characters, whose effect on the story will be noticed in Sacrifice – and I can’t wait to see what happens!

I received this ARC for a honest review. Having read the first book, which I loved, this second book did not disappoint.

This second book was enlightening. We get a better glimpse at Kenna and see how the wraith is affecting her. She wants nothing more than to be rid of this evil and Luke is just who she thinks can help. It turns out that his sister Lexy is the one that can help but at a horrible cost.

Sage of course is the ever present best friend and she proves it by her action within the club and dealing with Luke.

Dex is always there for Kenna and he goes above and beyond his duty as her friend.

Randall, I was skeptical about him in the first book, but as the second progresses, I see a huge leaning toward him. He cares about Kenna and to me he is her safe bet.

Really terrific read. Patiently waiting for the third. Excellent writing!!

I wouldn't say I was happy when Bree finally made an appearance in the story. The timing was off, and I could feel the strain moments, which wasn't enjoyable. At least that's what I felt because my concern towards Kenna's situation was eating me up. I hoped they would meet up again in different circumstances.

From the story, we learned that Kenna was a good friend, and I liked her attitude. I was surprised that Randal didn't possess a persuasion gift, the standard power usually accustomed to Vampires. Well, at least something was different in this story.

When Kenna finally met Lexy, it was such relief until Lexy revealed the final blow, which made me feel hollow. I was gutted and completely understood the turmoil inside Kenna's head. So far, I loved the storyline, and I'm feeling a little nervous about what would happen in the next book. Would she be able to get rid of the Wraith without the sacrifice? Or if it's inevitable, who the person would be 🤔?

I really enjoyed Savor. We continued the story of Kenna, Randall, Dex and gang trying to find a way to rid Kenna of the wraith. The twists and turns keep you on your toes and the end...well you will just have to read to find out.

I really like Jennifer Snyder's work. She writes as if she is the characters. They are believable and entertaining.

I would recommend the Succubus Kiss series to anyone who likes supernatural themes.

Not an independent story: simply part of a much longer one. It's also a pretty negative story which ends with a cliffhanger and a horrible one at that. Made me decide to drop the series for now. I did eventually decide to see if I could make it through and I did.

Haunting. Scary. Steamy. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.

Good story

It was once again a good story and finally they came together but still not at the level that I thought it would get to. And I was right seems this will go on for four books. I have became invested to see if my questions get answered or will I be disappointed. I hope the mom is the one she chooses to ask for that big thing at the end. Just saying

Savor by Jennifer Snyder
Book #2: Succubus Kiss Series
Source: Author
My Rating: 4/5 stars
My Review:

**CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR BOOK #1**

Balls!! Kenna Blake is in trouble and the trouble is only getting worse as the days go by. At the end of book one, Kenna found herself infected with a wraith, her friends willing to stand by her side and help in any way they can and, her vampire boyfriend nowhere to be found. Well, crap!

Knowing she is all kinds of screwed and having no idea what to do about her wraith issue, Kenna gets a single and totally cryptic clue from her mother. With nothing but a note that says Love Potion #9, Kenna begins the hunt for a cure. With a few well-placed questions, Kenna figures out Love Potion #9 is a supernatural hangout and the owner, Luke may be able to help her out. As Sage and Dex gear up for a big night out, Randal decides to reappear (after apologizing for being a wuss!) and Kenna is slipping further and further toward losing control. The wraith is beginning to exert itself in both her dreams and in her waking hours. In her dreams, the wraith is taunting her and coming far more tangible and in her waking hours, the wraith is increasing Kenna’s hunger and weakening her ability to pull away before killing her host. Could it get any worse?

Yep! It can totally get worse and it certainly does when Kenna finds out the person best suited to help her is Luke’s twin sister, Lexy, a powerful witch who quit using magic. Lexy lives at least six hours away and given the level of magic necessary to expel a wraith, she may be totally unwilling to help. In an every-increasing bad situation, Kenna’s best-friend, Bree shows up for an unexpected stay. With absolutely no valid excuse for asking Bree to leave, Kenna does her best to keep herself under control and hold off Randall and the trip to find Lexy. Given the gravity of the situation, Kendall looks for any excuse to get rid of Bree and get on the road. As fate would have it (and maybe Randal but I can’t prove that!) Bree’s house is burglarized and Kenna is once again free to go on a road trip.

Lexy is a witch of uncommon power and when she gave up the practice of magic, she gave it up completely. Lexy has spent the last five years building a quaint little business in a town where no one knows who she is or what she is capable of doing. When Kenna, Dex and Randal show up at Lexy’s shop the reception is frosty to say the least. Though Kenna is able to appeal to Lexy’s sense of goodness what Lexy tells Kenna is beyond comprehension and not at all something Kenna is sure she can go through with.

The Bottom Line: It certainly does suck to be a wraith-infected succubus but it sure does make for good reading. Just when Kenna was finally getting a handle on being a succubus, her life gets turned upside down by a seemingly vengeful wraith. Her control is shaky at best, her boyfriend is taking things to the next level and, the witch who can help her is reluctant. As if that weren’t enough, the solution to Kenna’s problem has stakes higher than she ever could have imagined. Snyder moves the story along in a believable fashion and throws just enough obstacles into everyone’s path to keep the reader on edge. Additionally, with the evolution of Kenna and Randal’s relationship, the story has become a little spicier and that is always a good thing. My only complaint about this read is the same complaint I had in the first read, Bree. Bree is one totally unlikeable character and I am nominating her right here and now for the thing Lexy tells Kenna she must do in order to be wraith-free! That may seem a bit cold-hearted but I really, really dislike Bree  Other than Bree, I am still all over this series and looking forward to the next installment.

Another wonderful chapter!

Savor is book 2 in the Succubus Kiss series and features the main character, Kenna. When we last read about Kenna, our succubus with a moral compass, she had been infected by a wraith, ditched by her potential vampire boyfriend, and left a cryptic message from her mother. Things weren’t looking so hot for Kenna.

Savor delivers an exciting next phase of her journey. In Savor, Kenna begins her attempt to rid herself of the wraith. The wraith becomes a pretty major character in this book and he is beyond creepy. The style Jenn chose to use to let us into the wraith’s mind and his attempted take over of Kenna’s body is really cool. It will freak you out a little but in a good way.

All of our favs are back to help Kenna. Randal comes back and I will spoil it and say he does redeem himself. He’s such a great foil for Kenna. He’s just so settled into his vampire state and is such a balance and strength for Kenna. The wonderful bestie vamp, Sage, and the super sexy Southern twanged werewolf, Dex, also remain at Kenna’s side. And we are introduced to two new characters, Luke and Lexy, who are sibling witches.

Lexy provides Kenna’s only hope at removing the wraith…theres’s just one problem. Lexy no longer practices magic. Can Kenna convince her to come out of the self imposed retirement to help save her life?

I adore the Succubus Kiss series and Savor did not disappoint. I really love the timeline that Jenn uses. The book literally only covers a few days but it allows all the main action to be very focused and meaningful. I never feel like I’ve missed anything but I’m also not so bombarded with so much plot that I get lost.

Plus I love that the series features the entire paranormal world. You’ve got a succubus dating a vampire and her best friend is a werewolf. And when they go out, there’s witches and demons and fairies. I enjoy that there’s a commitment to making the paranormal world look as diverse as the human world is.

The writing style is awesome. It’s really well edited. I’ve read most of Jenn’s library and I think this series is her best work so far. The characters are so rich and well rounded and the plot is very thoughtful. I highly recommend this series to paranormal fans of any type as well as romance fans. You really will love Kenna and be cheering for her.

After reading Seduce I just had to get Savor to find out what was going to happen next for Kenna once she got infected with a wraith. In simple terms, a wraith is a really bad spirit that in a way "possesses" you to feed off your soul- it's how they continue to live. They're too evil to want to move on. So, I just had to read this one after that cliffhanger from the first book!

I'm really enjoying this series! In a way I feel like this series is very laid back but don't worry things are happening and I really enjoyed seeing new aspects of this world! But what I mean is that I feel like it's more real, like it's taking a natural path (hopefully y'all are getting the gist of what I mean haha). Like, yeah Kenna knows this is a time sensitive thing but she also knows she just can't drop everything so easily. So it was interesting watching her cope and learn how to deal with the wraith inside. To watch it grow in strength and not going to lie, sometimes this wraith brought chills to my spine.

It was interesting watching how the wraith was changing her, not physically but with how often she fed. Let's just say the wraith doesn't care if the people she feeds off of dies. This guy is pure evil....

Though there was a part of the story, like the middle or so, when a previous character comes to visit Kenna and I'm like, "'kay it's time for this story to move alone and she needs to go find that witch that can help her already". However once I got to the end I understood why the author kind of dragged it out a bit. That scene was very intense!

Overall this series is a blast to read! Again in this book I don't really feel there's much romance. I think the main reason is because she's macking on strangers when she feeds and not just Randal. But when they made love I think that was the first time where it felt like a true romance book. It was all about him and that made me feel a little more connected to them as a couple. So hopefully in the next book I'll be able to feel a stronger connection to them and that I can truly ship them. Excited to get to the next one! The twist ending in this one caught me off guard super hard so I need to see how it all turns out in the next one!

*I received a free digital version from the author in exchange for an honest review.

In this book, Kenna has to deal with the Wraith in her and try to find a way to get rid of it while it fights to take control of her. In the duration of this book, the Wraith gets stronger, more powerful, and he enjoys taunting Kenna in ways that make me feel bad for her. At the same time, she's trying to keep her relationships alive (which proves difficult when her best friend shows up unannounced with horrid timing) and find ways to keep the Wraith at bay (one of their ways being an attempt at not sleeping as he appears to her then and she doesn't want to make him more powerful).

That said, I enjoy the author's writing style immensely. This is a fairly fast and enjoyable read, with a fantastic flow and great descriptions. I love the characters and how close Randal and Kenna get, though I wish we had more information and background for Randal. I also love how loyal they all are and how strong their bonds are. It makes me feel even worse for Kenna since Randal practically ignored her at first and her choice (which was revealed at the end) will be a very difficult one for her to bare on her shoulders.

I sincerely hope Kenna can successfully be rid of the Wraith in the next book because he is a dark, dark being and I don't want Kenna to die. At the same time, I don't want Lexy or anyone else to die either. I can't wait to see how the author goes about this!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to start the next one! I recommend this series to lovers of fantasy, especially ones involving supernatural creatures.

Savor is a quick read that to me felt like it was a bridge between Seduce and the next book, Sacrifice. There wasn't a lot of conflict, most of the tension occurs during Kenna's sleeping state when the wraith interacts with her more personally. This story was more informational and a setup to what's to come, or at least that's the way I interpreted it.

This is not to say that Savor isn't interesting...no, not at all. We get to meet new, interesting characters and visit new places, helping to further develop this fascinating world that the author has created. And we get to find out more about wraiths-and this wraith in particular. Because you know there's always more to things in the supernatural world than meet the eye...

Randall is emerging as a protector for Kenna, further cementing him as a great match. The two of them together make for some hot and sexy time-though that poses some problems for them as well.

Since I can't really say more without starting to spoil things, I'll give you my 3.5-star rating and the fact that I'm looking forward to see how Kenna handles the information-the particularly troubling information-that she discovers once they find Lexy. It should make for an intriguing next installment to the series!

Yep...done! There so much to talk about my mind is a jumbled mess. Randall is supposed to be one of the oldest vampires, the one who inspired Dracula, then why is he telling a waiter to bring out the best wine? Should he know the best wine choice since he's so old and he frequents this particular restaurant often? He drinks Moscato? Like seriously, a vampire drinks moscato? Still laughing? Then he leaves the girl he likes, without explanation, because he was remembering watching his sister suffer. He sucks and should have been dumped immediately!

What is up with Landon? Can there be an explanation about why Kenna is attracted to him?

An explanation about what a wraith is at the begin of this story would have been better then at the last few pages of the book.

Kenna lackadaisical approach to ridding of herself of the thing that has posed her, forces her to eat, and interfere with her sleep when her friend visits is completely ridiculous.

Natalia stalking Kenna, being a red head, and going into Kenna's apartment reminds me of the book that started the vampire/werewolf craze a few years ago...

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review....

Savor, the second book in Succubus Kiss series picks up speed right where Seduce left off still on the quest to find Kenna's cure to be rid of the wraith once and for all. Snyder does an excellent job of choosing the title for this book- Savor because that is exactly what you are doing with this story line up until the very end of this book. In this book, Kenna and Randal's relationship grows and develops. We begin to see more heat and passion from both these characters. Pair their heat with Dex, Kenna's charismatic and charming werewolf pal, and you've got yourself a very interesting continuation of this series. Once again Snyder sucks us into her world up until the very abrupt ending. Ugh! This is the only reason why this book didn't get a 5 star from me. My only wish is this series was one book! These cliffhangers are killing me!

I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed reading the continuation of this story. We didn't see much of Sage in this one, with Randall he is growing on me. We still have Dex and I just love him. We meet new characters. There are still some unanswered questions and I look forward to reading the next book and I hope they are all answered. I like the way this author writes, the story flows quickly and easily. I like all the characters.

OMG She ALWAYS leaves on a cliffhanger

I am so so glad I found these after they all came out. I do not think I could wait the length of time between each book to see what happens next. She has amazingly nuanced characters and is not shy about putting them through the ringer..

This series just gets better and better. Kenna and Randal are such great characters. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. Recommend to all.
