America’s number one citizen Ralph Nader’s latest book shows us how unchecked corporate power has led to the wrecking ball that is the Trump presidency. Nader brings together the outrages of the Trump administration with the key flaws and failures of the previous administrations—both Republican and Democratic—that have led our nation to its current precipice. It’s all in the details and Ralph Nader knows them all. Trump didn’t come out of nowhere. Bush and Obama led the way. Writing as a Washington, DC, activist and people’s advocate for over fifty years―someone who has saved more lives and caused more impactful legislation to be enacted than almost any sitting president or legislator—Nader shows how Trump’s crimes and misdemeanors followed the path of no resistance of the Obama, Bush and Clinton regimes, which ushered in the extreme rise of corporate power and the abandonment of the poor and middle classes.
American attorney, author, lecturer, political activist, and candidate for President of the United States in five elections, including the last election 0f 2008, with his role in the 2000 election in particular being subject to much debate.
Areas of particular concern to Nader include consumer rights, humanitarianism, environmentalism, and democratic government. Nader is the first Arab American presidential candidate in the U.S.
I feel like this book was all over the place. The title is misleading, "...How Bush and..." when there was hardly any information Bush. There was much more information on Obama than there was on Bush. I don't understand the reason behind the so-called letters he sent to the president if he already had another book solely on the letters he wrote to the president. He also mentions the candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, hence when I say he was all over the place with this book. I'm all for Ralph Nader, what he's done for us consumers and citizens, but this book does not do him justice I think.
Constructive hypotheticals or I told you sos, Nader highlights his tried and true hits covering what’s so wrong with the two major parties and the direction our country is headed with them at the wheel. It’s appreciable if not overly entertaining.
If we can put a man on the moon why can't we put Ralph Nader there?
Mr. Corporate Responsibility has steadfastly refused to take any responsibility for his part in giving us for 8 disastrous years of Bush and now wants to impart his wisdom about the era?
Ralph Nader, in the role a political visionary, interprets the recent American political history. This work can help political junkies explicate today's political climate.
