My Kind of Perfect

Rate this book
Georgia
I’m surrounded by love, yet have no one to call my own.
But then Chase, my new roommate, is suddenly there.
He could be the perfect guy for me, if he wasn’t nursing a broken heart.
The more time I waste looking for love, the more I realize that what I want has been right in front of me all along.
Falling for Chase is the easiest thing I’ve ever done, but fighting for him is the hardest.
Because his past isn’t finished with him— not even close.

Chase
Love finds you when you least expect it.
I was only looking for a place to crash after having my heart ripped out, instead I found someone who turned my world upside down.
A girl like Georgia was looking for happily ever after, and so far my life had been anything but a fairytale.
I can walk into a burning building without thinking twice, but the spark I feel with her scares the hell out of me.
I can’t keep watching her look for someone else—not when I’m falling for her.
Just when everything starts to fall into place, I'm reminded just how messy and imperfect life can be.
When the smoke clears, it’s Georgia by my side. Life might not be perfect— but our love could be.

Nikki Ash never fails to captivate and charm! My Kind of Perfect is the PERFECT conclusion to this heartfelt and swoony series about the unique paths to finding love. Swoony, sincere, sexy, and emotionally complex- this story is everything I've come to love and crave in romance. The finding love series is indeed my kind of perfect. This is a bittersweet farewell to unarguably Nikki's best series to date!

I was so excited to finally get Georgia’s story- I’ve loved her from the very moment we met her. I related to her so fiercely- her extreme introversion, her desperation to figure out her path, all while warming in the radiance of her louder and brighter sister. And when I saw the chemistry between her and Chase in My Kind of Beautiful, I was bursting at the seams to get their story. And it does not disappoint.

Our sweet and innocent Georgia finds herself rooming with the newly divorced and slightly older Chase- and overtime their coexistence blossoms into something more substantial, hesitant friends, to a meaningful connection, to an undeniable love. Like her sister’s story, her path to love is more gentle and sweet- what is more fraught are the complications that come after they’ve found their way together. Here, in the form of an unexpected and life altering surprise from Chase’s past.

What I loved most about these two is how they draw out the best of the other. Chase gives Georgia courage to pursue her “perfect path”- but to also expect that there is no perfect path, there is only the path she makes and chooses. He loves and treasures her for her softness, her quiet vulnerability and gentle heart, but he also helps her explore sides of herself she’s inadvertently repressed her hidden- some very sexy ones too (wink wink). He helps her discover her butterfly. And she helps him heal the hardened, bitter Chase- brings back the playful and loving man he was before he was burned. He doesn’t start out as swoony as the other men in this series, but then he blows them away- with his sweetness, his protectiveness, his gentle understanding and support. And he’s a little bit kinky, too. Watching them work through their emotional baggage together is so endearing and heartwarming- I swooned and smiled and cried and sighed with delight.

And that ultimately is what makes Nikki Ash so special- she lets her characters go through it TOGETHER. Conflict, drama, pain, baggage- she doesn’t allow it to rip apart a hesitant and burgeoning love for the sake of angst, rather she lets her characters lean into and grow together. Work through it as partners, imperfectly but with understanding and empathy. And that is love- THAT is romance. Leaning into a relationship that makes you better and stronger, especially when life’s unexpected challenges come your way or when you make mistakes. It’s why I find her stories so charming, and so refreshing. She lets her characters be fragile and vulnerable while letting their connection, their love, be sturdy.

I have LOVED this series so very much- swoony, sweet, sexy, sincere, and full of heartwarming themes. Themes that remind us that there is not perfect path, in life or in love. What matters is that you are living- and that you aren't scared of loving, even when the path to getting there isn't the kind of love story you expected, a beautiful in a way you never expected, or only perfect for you.

Eh...

I was so excited to read Georgia and Chase's story! I did enjoy this book! And the plot in itself was perfect. Jaded man meets shy naive girl! Cute, right? Eh. Kinda. Not really! The beginning of the book was sweet I really enjoyed them getting to know each other better!

But there were things I was like... "She's a better woman than me" because I'm not sure if I could have forgiven him that easily! I know Chase had a past, and I get he went through a lot with his ex-wife, but damn!
He gave her the tongue lashing of a lifetime, and she forgave him right away! AFTER ONE APOLOGY. That man needed to grovel!

Spoilers....

Things that really bothered me!

🔹️ Every time she called her naive. This woman had just lost a baby, helped her sister through being assaulted in book two, was drugged at a club, locked in her room for a year by her father who used to abuse her mother! And he kept telling her how naive and easy her life had been! EXCUSE ME!!! NO!! I would have set his a** straight so fast! Just because she inherited money from her grandmother and she came from a comfortable lifestyle doesn't mean she lived an easy life!

🔹️How easily she forgave him each time he lashed out at her

🔹️How lightly the miscarriage was brushed over. That shit is painful! Emotional and physical and I understand their main focus was healing and focusing on Hazel. But poor Georgia, I feel like her feelings the last 1/3 of the book were brushed over and ignored. She bent over backwards to show Chase how much she loved him and accepted his daughter has hers and he was honestly an ass. A sweet ass, but selfish. So focused on his hurt, I think he forgot to see how much she was handling and went through.

What an incredibly beautiful story this turned out to be! I mean I’m not left-field surprised by this because this is what Nikki Ash delivers in most of her books, but this felt more.

The title of this book is a four-word review to this story that just nails it 100%! Chase and Georgia were the perfect both Chase and Georgia needed for each other to come thru their personal circumstances to the other side for each other to journey as one. There is so much packed into this story, yet it reads so flawlessly that you will be finished before you can blink. It captivated me and held my heart in a vise. I felt every bit of this story. From their friendship to their sexual desire for one another, to their inevitable HEA, Georgia and Chase made me laugh and swoon and yes, cry the ugly tears sometimes, but I always felt hope. That is my all-time favorite feeling when I read a story. If I can feel the hope, then I can believe in the future and that’s all this reader needs to make her happy :)

Now go do the thing :) actually, go do the thing for every single book Nikki has ever written because from my limited experience with her writing thus far, I know I’ve been missing out and I don’t want to you guys to miss out! I’m a giver like that :)

4.5 ✨

Everything by Nikki Ash is always a 4-5 star read. Except when she gets too sucked in to incorporating one tree hill then she gets a 3.5 lmao

If you haven’t read Nikki ash books, start at the very beginning because each series she does is literally the kids then grandkids etc from the previous series so you get to keep seeing your fave characters through out each read as they are growing older.

She is like the queen of accidental pregnancy / single parent tropes though, I know some people hate those tropes so if you’re one of those people you prob won’t enjoy it, but it’s not her fault you got janky taste 🤗

My Kind of Perfect was the absolute PERFECT conclusion to Nikki Ash’s Finding Love Series. After finishing My Kind of Beautiful I was so eager for Georgia and Chase’s story and Nikki Ash blew me away with such an incredible story. From the first to last page I was CONSUMED and I didn’t want it to end. It is a sexy, emotional, beautiful story. Georgia and Chase are roommates and friends. Georgia is a bit of a recluse. She prefers to be at home and stay within her bubble. She works from home and enjoys the comforts of her home instead of going out and struggling with her social anxieties. Chase sees this and wants nothing more than to be the person that will push her out of comfort zone and be the one there for her while she finds herself. Chase is a firefighter and best friends with Alec, who is Georgia’s sisters husband. He ends up on her couch after his marriage breaking down. Initially Chase is all about his playboy ways. He wants nothing to do with commitment after being emotionally and physically drained by ex-wife and her drug abuse and cheating ways. That is until Georgia and their undeniable attraction and chemistry. There were so many beautiful layers to uncover in this story. I loved how mature and vocal they were with each other as soon as they decided to give into their feelings and their desire for one another. I loved their journey. The flirty, sexy banter, laughter and steam mixed with emotional, raw and heartfelt moments really made the connection between Georgia and Chase so strong and beautiful. I have ADORED this series from the start and need more of this family. I cannot wait to go back and read the Fighting and Fighting Love Series now that I have fallen so hard for Nikki Ash’s writing.

From roommates to friends falling in love. Georgia and Chase had previously lived in their condo with Georgias sister Lexi and her now husband Alec. But since they have moved out, married and had a baby, it's just Georgia and Chase living there now.

They grew up in very different worlds. Georgia never having to worry about money, being slightly naive, Chase was particularly protective of her because of this.

It was becoming obvious to Chase that Georgia hadn't really gone out and only stayed home to work since her sister moved out, so one night he suggests they go out and this starts their relationship, whatever it may be at this point, more of a friendship with each person crushing on the other but not discussing it.

Poor Georgia having only had one boyfriend (and a crappy one at that) was so used to only doing things with Lexi, it took Chase a while to get her out of her shell. He too had to learn to trust a bit more because of his horrible ex wife.

I loved that they took it at the pace they wanted to and Chase never rushed anything, him being the " more experienced one" . He brought out the best in Georgia and she slowly became more open and discovered different parts of herself that she never knew were there.

I have to say the way their relationship began, was very reminiscent of my first love. The best of friends, taking is slower, learning to be yourself while being with an amazing person who only brings out the best in you.

The story flowed beautifully and I loved it! It was my first Nikki Ash book but definitely not my last! She has an amazing way of writing the characters as if you can truly relate to them.

I would like to thank @authornikkiash for providing me with a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Through a variety of fated occurrences, Georgia and Chase are living together and hardly know each other.

“The only reason we ended up living together was out of circumstance—Alec was too lazy to sell the place, Georgia wanted to give her sister some space, and I didn’t want to deal with finding a new place to live.”

She is trying to figure out who she is and her ‘perfect path’. And he is far away from thinking about any commitment while recovering from a nasty divorce. Georgia is feeling a little lost after her sister (and best friend) moves out, gets married, and has a baby. Seeing this, Chase tries to do what he can to get her out of her shell. Through spending time together, they both start thinking about each other more and more - and Chase just can’t allow himself to do that.

“I just don’t think I have it in me to give myself over to another woman. And Georgia is the kind of woman who deserves it all.”

The road to their happy ending is filled with several obstacles, missed turns, and sharp curves. I felt everything from heartache and anger...even wanted to yell at them a time or two...to delight and relief.

I have loved spending time in this world again ❤️Hope one day we’ll get to come back!

After being shatered in love, the last thing Chase needs or wants to be doing is looking at his roommate with affection. The end of his marriage has left him with wounds to heal.

To help get back on his feet he moves in with one of his mates and a few friends by acquaintances. One of those acquaintances is Georgia. She tends to enjoy her own company and Chase encourages her to get out move.

However, as they hang out more the way they feel shifts from mates to something more.

⭐️ 5 "Butterfly" Stars ⭐️
I’m always looking forward for Nikki Ash’s new books. My Kind of Perfect is a story I couldn’t wait to get my hands on as I loved Georgia and Chase in the previous standalone novel of the Finding Love Series. Their romance was everything and made me smile, laugh, swoon and get emotional! This was such a great read that I didn’t want it to end.

Seriously, this couple was so adorable and magical together! Every moment they shared had me so giddy from their beauty. Chase and Georgia are so different, but after a rough start as roommates, they gradually start spending time together and develop a strong connection. Georgia is an introvert and a homebody, dreaming of finding “the one”. Chase is there to help her broaden her horizons. He's a little afraid to open his heart again after his last relationship turned sour, but the evolution of their relationship is simply effortless. This man is truly a gem. He’s protective, sweet, caring, charming… and a firefighter! I was enamoured by him, that's for sure!

As it’s the norm with Nikki Ash, this novel is packed with such romantic moments as well as a lot of humorous ones and the right dose of spicy encounters. My Kind of Perfect is without a doubt my favorite book in the Finding Love Series. I can't recommend it enough!

Chase, a divorcee isn't looking for a relationship. Georgia is his roommate because her sister Lexi and his friend and Alex are married and have moved out. He did bring a lot of women before they moved out which annoyed Georgia and now he has to stay with Georgia. He grows protective towards her and he gets his butterfly out of her cocoon.
Georgia an intelligent web designer who doesn't go out alone. She is also finding her path and settling with the fact that her best friend who is also her sister is now busy. She is forgiving and has a good heart.
They both fall in love slowly while they become friends. I loved how they were always accepting and understanding of each other's past. They had a lot of ups and downs but a cute story.
I was so glad because this book had Lexi and Alex too. (they remain as my favorites)

There were a few things that bothered me.
Spoiler
Every time they argued Chase said Hazel was his child and then later apologize to Georgia, I mean if this happened once it was understandable but it was more than once.
Georgia was sweet and understanding but I felt like she did or liked a few things if Chase did.
These were the only things that bothered me about the book.

🔥 2/3

I love Georgia and Chase's story so much. I've been curious about their story since the beginning. However, Chase's reactions to certain issues annoyed me. He would be the biggest A#$hole & Georgia would quickly forgive him, I felt like that was an unhealthy pattern in their relationship.

I freaking loved Chase and Georgia!!!!! They way these two got together was sooooo beautiful!!!!!!!! From roommates to friends to falling in love without really knowing. They were always so honest with each other as friends and it was so refreshing. He was so protective of her because they grew up in different worlds and like he said she sees everything and every good in each person because she’s naive and innocent. When Georgia finally decided to give whatever they had developing a chance she was so mature about it. I loved that she didn’t define Chase by his past and only focused on the present and future. Same as Chase especially since he was hurt before and thanks to Georgia dad iddd to give love a chance again. Then there was a shocker that looked like it would interfere what they had bling on but nope Georgia said they were a team and handled everything together. That sealed their relationship even further. Things were going great until a blast from the past almost destroyed everything. In that particular incident Chase said things that made you want to dislike him but you simply couldn’t because he was hurting at the time. One thing I loved about these two was whenever they had a disagreement they never stayed away long and just dealt with the situation right then and there. The epilogue was amazing and funny and I would love more of these two.

4 beautifully perfect stars!!

This is the third and final interconnected stand-alone novel in the “Finding Love” series.

Oh Chase and Georgia are just the cutest couple. Chase did frustrate me a bit but no more then any other man. Lol. To be honest I was super excited to read Chases’s novel.

This was definitely a funny, sexy, and charming story. With that all said be prepared for a few twists as well. My only critique is this didn’t stand out as different. But the character development was perfect. This author intertwines almost all of her books and that is one of my absolute favorite things.

This is a great quick weekend read!!

I really enjoyed reading this book, beacause it has everything I love reading. It had drama and questionable turns. I loves their open communnication and how they were so open with one another.

It had what I thought like some plotholes, it just felt like somethings were left unfinished and could habe been more focus on and I thought the ending was kind of aprubt but other than that it was a great book. And I did not like how fast the fmc sometimes gave in, like she was to forgiving at times in my opinion and in those situations I wished she had more backbone

And it was very fast paced and the writing style was quite good.

Even though there were some things i did not like so much all in all i thought it was a cute fun and fast paced read. Its the perfect book to read if you want to finish your reading goal fast.

This book, wow, just wow. I knew this would be a good one, but I was not prepared for that. My all time favorite book boyfriend is Lachlan from Through His Eyes, Chase came extremely close to giving him a run for his money.

Chase and Georgia's story is such an incredible friends-to-lovers romance. The way Chase helps Georgia open up while just trying to be her friend is so touching. I am so glad their story was left for last in this series.

This is a quick read. I absolutely devoured it. I hated every time I had to walk away even for a minute. There is so much I want to say, but there is no way I will risk giving any more away. This is a must read.

Opposites attract, roommates, friends to lovers, I couldn’t put firefighter Chase and introvert Georgia’s story down. This was my first Nikki Ash read and I really enjoyed it. The opening will getcha hooked. These two are roommates who aren’t really friends at first but Chase motivates her to step out of her comfort zone, and she is starting to listen. These two become really close friends and their attraction to each other is growing exponentially, but Chase isn’t entertaining any ideas about getting into a another relationship.

These two have the undeniable chemistry. Georgia is looking for to her perfect everything, job, partner in life, everything but nothing is going according to plan. The guy she wants, he doesn’t in any relationship. It was nice to see these two get closer as friends and their attraction for each other develop. There is a curveball thrown in the story, a moment of intensity, heartbreaking scenes and love seeing them fall in love. First person, dual POVs, looking forward to catching up on the other couples in the near future.

SIGH! Yep swimming around in the beauty of this book. Ugh I am struggling trying to find the words to describe what I just experienced. All I can say is I am sooo madly in love with Georgia and Chase.

Georgia is the sweetest character who has some childhood secrets of her own. Side note:Anxiety and panic attacks are no joke. Read this book and you will know what I am referring too. Wink. I am more than happy that in this story I am going back into a beloved book world and that Georgia is part of one of my favorite families. I met her as a child in the book about her parents love story. Double Sigh! It is so exciting to get more details of her childhood as I travel through this read. I might have cried a little when all is revealed. Don’t judge me.

My heart also breaks for Chase. He was done dirty by his ex wife. I know you will agree. He also experienced his own trauma in his family as a teenager. He has a strength and desire to care for those he loves that makes me want to swoon a bit. Hee hee. It is not surprising that he choose fire fighting as a career. Yikes second swoon might be happening. Wink.

I could talk about this story all day. Heck, I could talk about this author and a book world that will always haunt me. Yikes. I might be feeling a reread coming on. I just can’t help it.

Happy Reading Everyone! I know you will love this book as much as I did. It definitely is a five star magical read for me. XOXO

My Kind of Perfect is book #3 in the Finding Love Series.
This story made me smile, laugh, and maybe even swoon a little. Chase and Georgia went from roommates, who hardly know eachother, to friends, and lastly lovers. I adored these two. They were just so good for one another. I liked how the characters are interconnected in eachothers stories.
I liked this series, and the characters.

What an ending to this series! Georgia and Chase have a story filled with emotions and had me turning pages as fast as I could read them!

Starting off as roommates these two find themselves hanging out more together as the rest of their friends have coupled up. Chase has an ugly past relationship that have him hesitant to ever have another. Georgia is on a mission to find her perfect path but having a hard time with how that’s going. I loved the evolution of this couples relationship from enemies to friends to lovers. While Chase really steps up in some parts he is also quick to put his foot in it. As naive as Georgia is she handles him really well though. Together these two are beautiful and the situations they face are huge. Great story!

An emotionally gripping story that had my heart from the start!

Chase and Georgia start off unconventionally but quickly turn into each other’s safe place! What’s starts off as a budding friendship quickly turns to more but with Chase’s past coming for him revealing unknown secrets their relationship will be tested and both will have to be stronger then ever before!

I loved Georgia’s strength even when she thought she wasn’t brave she showed time and time again that her ability to see the beauty and positivity in everything made her one of the strongest heroines! It was that strength and light that attracted Chases dark! After a brutal relationship Chase lost faith in love but he found hope again with Georgia! I loved how they listened to one another and were a team!

Gah I don’t want to gush to much because there are surprises that you will be shocked and awed by! This book is a reminder why I love Nikki Ash’s writing and her books are one clicks for me!

This series keeps on getting better with each book. My Kind Of Perfect was just that, perfection.

Chase and Georgia are now my favorites. From the start of this series I was excited to learn more of Georgia as an young adult. Chase gets her to come out of her shell and it was great to see that.

I love the how they both keep on fighting what they were feeling with they couldn’t take it anymore. They take things slow and then become such an amazing couple. The twists I didn’t see coming and loved them.

This book along with the others are a top read for me.

Wonderful

First of all, what a wonderful story... I needed a story to grip my squirrel brain to escape the world today and My Kind of Perfect did just that.

Georgia and Chase are roomies. She's not exactly his biggest fan. But the chemistry is undeniable and inescapable.

This story had me from the first page. I only put it down, because kids *rolls eyes*. Still it's a one day read, which nobody has been able to pull off for me lately.

A perfect end to a perfect series.
