This book changed my life!
At least for now completely changed my view on industry and it’s role for mankind. I will change my life in a way that results will come after many years.
This book provided me inside view to the life of an entrepreneur and his journey to build global industrial corporation not for the sake of money and power but for the sake of service to the people. No matter what crisis is ongoing and what crisis waits for us, its presence is a catalyst for innovation we need to undergo to survive and win.

Antonín Cekota patřil mezi Baťovy blízké spolupracovníky, takže jeho kniha přináší řadu zajímavých vzpomínek a postřehů z pozice očitého svědka. Odhaluje tak i řadu aspektů Baťova života, o kterých jsem dosud neměl ani tušení.

Autor ve svém stylu nezapře, že dlouho působil jako redaktor Baťových časopisů a podílel se na budování jeho značky. Kniha tedy nepředstavuje klasický životopis, ale má v sobě řadu prvků, které bychom dnes zařadili spíše do tzv. motivační literatury.

Skvělá kniha, vyčerpávajícím formátem vystihující neuvěřitelný příběh člověka, jehož formátu nelze vyjádřit dostatečný respekt. V dnešní době bych se přimlouval za zařazení to povinné četby na středních školách.

I've always admired Tomas Bata for what he has achieved as an entrepreneur. It was fascinating to learn about his evolution through the eyes of his close partner, Antonin Cekota. Tomas Bata was truly a genius, idealist and optimist yet uber realistic when it comes to taking decisions (business and life related). Even though, in his early years, he wanted to earn money to acquire certain status in society, later in life he understood that the life's meaning is in service to others, to know that whatever he was doing, in the core of the action was the service, or better yet, the people. Highly recommend this book. 5 etoiles
