New York Times, USA Today, Publisher’s Weekly and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti has published more than seventy novels and novellas, which have been translated into several languages, with millions of copies sold world-wide. Her books have received Publisher’s Weekly and Kirkus starred reviews, favorable Washington Post and New York Times Book Reviews, and been included in Amazon best books of the year.
Rebecca has ridden in a locked Chevy trunk, has asked the unfortunate delivery guy to release her from a set of handcuffs, and has discovered the best silver mine shafts in which to bury a body…all in the name of research. Honest.
Book 1: Talen & Cara Book 2: Dage & Emma Book 2.5: Max & Sarah Book 3: Conn & Moira
Fun, fast paced PNR series. Great storyline, characters and suspense. Instalove, mates for life, possessive Alphas and grotesque evil foes. There are Vampires, Shifters, witches, Demons and more. This is a continued storyline focusing on a different couple per book.
The Kurjans have declared war and they are playing dirty. They are hunting down all enhanced human females. The Kurjans and Vampires can only mate with an enhanced human and they mate for life. While Vampire King Dage and his brothers find these women to protect them from the Kurjans, they are also finding their own mates.
The Kurjans have developed a virus that can sever their mating bonds with the Vampires so that the Kurjans can steal them for themselves and the brothers are fighting to protect their woman. Each book is focused on one couple, but all characters continue on to the next book in the series.
Meh... I think I have read this exact story, over and over... Crew of badass vampires and their mates, not sure who did it first think, I liked the BDB best, but that series started to really annoy me after a while (those dudes be whiny).
Finished these 3 longer books and one novella and have put all my reviews together!
Book 1 Fated
Fated is the first book in the series Dark Protectors and is absolutely enthralling to the point, I didn’t want to put it down until I knew what was happening. Cara and her daughter Janie are swept away into the night by a man they only know as Talen. However, a touch of his hand on her arm unleashes a string of events which are fated. In an effort to protect Cara and Janie from their enemies, Talen will scour the Earth looking for them and his brothers will protect them both with their lives if need be😍
If a paranormal series that involves vampires, shifters and witches is something you love, then this book won’t steer you wrong. I was a Rebecca Zanetti virgin...but not anymore and I definitely look forward to more in this series😀
Book 2 Claimed
Emma is a geneticist and is on the run after finding out about the Kurjans. When she is kidnapped and rescued by Dage, she realises that she wants to fight fate after her visions but she doesn’t account for her bodily reactions to the King and he finally lays claim to her.
Dage has been dreaming of his mate for around two centuries and when he meets Cara, she looks like his mate.....only to find out Emma is her sister😍
Lots of danger and peril in the Realm and more War on the horizon with different factions! Very interesting and captivating story...can’t wait to see where it goes❣️
Book 3 (Novella) Tempted
Max is asked to help find Sarah, who has enhanced abilities before the Kurjans find her. Max doesn’t want a mate with everything that’s going on in their world with the Virus-27 and how it affects the mated females!
Sarah has been in an institution and has escaped. Now the Kurjans are after her but she gets caught by Max first and he stirs something that’s lain dormant in her for ages😀 But the fight isn’t over, yet.
A short novella but a good read to continue the search and quest to destroy the virus!
Book 4 Hunted
Conn up until recently was one of the only Kayrs brothers to be mated. However, he hasn’t seen his mate in over a century other than more recently over Skype in regards to the Virus affecting the mates. Her 100 years is up and he’s making his move to reclaim his mate❣️
Moira doesn’t want to go with Conn and when he arrives in Ireland to collect her to go back to the US, he feels like Chicken Licken and as though the sky is falling down. Even though he’s kept tabs on her, Moira has managed to do things under the radar and is aware that Conn won’t like any of it....but she will do what she has to for her people.
A great story and a bit more progression in the story! I am loving these characters and in great suspense as to what’s going to happen and what each of their futures’ holds😍
These amazing stories were filled with tough, no-nonsense heroines and incredibly handsome, ruthless heroes that were ready to charge into unbelievable danger to keep their mates and their families safe. The conspiracy, trickery, and intrigue were off the charts. If you think you can guess what to expect in each of these stories, you will soon discover that each story has a life of its own and nothing is predictable. I LOVED THESE STORIES AND ALL OF THE HEROES AND HEROINES! GREAT!GREAT! GREAT!!!!!
I hate dystopian stories. I can’t imagine ever feeling so safe and protected that the world going to sh*t would be a comfort read for me.
I got through Fated, Claimed, Tempted and halfway through Hunted, when I realized I didn’t care. The devolution was gaining momentum and I had no interest in going deeper. None. Nada. Zip.
Ms Zanetti is a gifted author. I am enjoying her Anna Albertini Files and sniffing around smaller series she has written and is writing.
But this one, in all it’s expansionist glory, is off the table.
This episode was fantastic! I didn't think the world building could get any better, but it certainly did. And Conn and Moira are fantastic together ❤. I feel sorry for Kalin. It does seem he has no choice 😕, but hopefully all will come to a head; one way or another. To close, I'm with Janie. I can't wait until she and Zane grow up either. But I intend to enjoy the journey while they do.
This set was AWESOME! I should be angry with Rebecca Zanetti because now I have bags under my eyes from not being able to sleep! I had to read through this entire set. I highly recommend reading this set. But make sure you have nothing to do for the weekend so you can catch up on your sleep. You won't be disappointed!!
These books are amazing. This is my first time reading a Rebecca Zanetti book. I am now asking myself, Why didn't I try this author years ago. Fantastic writing, fantastic characters and I love how Zanetti did her own take on Vampirism. I can't wait to get the rest of the books in the Dark Protector series.
I really enjoy this series. Bad ass on steroids and magic! The war wages on. Even so, Max’s story doesn’t feel complete (as if the book ended too early). And as I continue thru the series I hope he revisits and hopefully their roles are deepened.
These are series books, 1-4, which really make the others in three series make more sense. They were fun stand alones, but now I understand some of the plot twists. Some 15 books later?.? Strong sense of Family and fate in each. Aliens and human. Interesting how human nature works on them too.
I got the first four books as a set and I can't wait to read the next ones. This is a great vampire series. I like how Zanetti made the vampires and others as separate species and not the cursed or undead like some do. Well worth the read.
It's the first three books in the Dark Protectors series and a short story. Kayrs brothers protect the realm and their mates and families. Those that enjoy fated mates and vampires will enjoy this series. I have already purchased book 4.
I was thrilled with this new version of vampire. All the good in one race, all the bad in another. As with many paranormal stories, the mates are strong, but within this take, they mostly human and advanced.
Great series, good world building, books could be read separately but better if read as a series. Loved the chemistry between the vamps and their mates. Loved that the women were feisty, independent and had their own super powers.
If you love alpha males and the women who love them, you'll love this series. The box set is great to get started because you get to meet a number of the characters at once, and most likely become hopelessly hooked. I know I can't wait to read more.
I've read these before and decided to start at the beginning again. I highly recommend every one of these stories. Great stories from a great author. Now on to the next book. ;D
This author never disappoints! Just buy yourself some eye drops before reading because you’ll never want to put her books down until the very last sentence!
I'm really glad this series got better with each book. Not going to lie but thr first female character was just way to weak. Glad I continued with this series.
No my cuppa. mated trope with insta bond between male vampires and female humans. Did not have a slow build up or reveal, just boom we are mated and banging boots because we can help it.
Great vacation reads. Each book has a solid plot but the overall arc also remains solid. No dropped characters or subplots. Looking forward to its continuation.
This series just gets better and better. It's a nice change to another series I read. It has people you care about and get invested in. The Laura family is awesome.
These were okay reads. The 3rd book was my preferred one (it was actually a novella and book 2.5 in the series) because the heroine wasn’t as annoyingly stubborn as the rest.
